    One notable exclusion involving this battle in Ringgold Gap was that Grant spent the night there, his only one in the state of GA. He stayed in the Whitman Home which still stands today. Two story, with the family living there, Grant asked the lady of the house to provide food for his staff. When she said we have none, Grant ordered food to be brought into the home. The next morning, Grant offered the lady $ 50 in greenback currency. She refused, asking instead for Confederate money. General Grant announced to his staff, " There is one rebel that ain't whipped yet!" They cheered the lady as they rode off. Grant soon departing Chattanooga for the Eastern front to fight General Lee till the conclusion of the war.

    Yes, I would simply like to "give an entirely-deserved 'shout out'" to the actor who represented [this entire sequence of ...] video segments. "In the entire proud history of 're-enactors.'" Thank you, and well done.;

    Killer job narrating the movements and actions leading up to and of the battle itself. Very little known civil war battle and very little known area now. Taking my family to eat lunch there tomorrow. I’ll be a trained professional by then!

    It is laudable that NPS is trying to make history more accessible. My compliments on that. Next on your list should be production values. One aspect that could use attention is the oral presentation. A better mic system would allow the Ranger to speak more naturally instead of shouting at the audience like a drill sergeant. This is a different from speaking in a field to a crowd where strident volume is necessary.

    Seems odd that the larger of the two is deemed a ridge and the meager rise on the left is a "mountain", but in fact, although being one ridgeline, the north side of the gap (pictured left) is referred to as white oak mountain and the southern part (pictured right) is Taylor or Taylor's ridge. Seems this videos mistakes the two.
