Minister Sean Fraser discusses efforts to strengthen immigration system - August 24, 2022

In Vancouver, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser highlights the federal government’s work to strengthen the immigration system. As part of these efforts, the minister announces that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada will have hired up to 1,250 new employees by late autumn to speed up processing capacity and reduce backlogs. The minister is joined by Patrick Mackenzie, the CEO of the Immigrant Employment Council of British Columbia.
