- Hi Everyone! My name is Andi Jenkins and I’m a chai-fueled thrifter, vintage reseller and interior stylist. All Put Together is where I share my latest thrift hauls and styling tips. In today's episode, I'm sharing what sold in my Etsy shop this week, how I clean my brass and make candle sets, and at the end we're going to do a HUGE haul of all the things I got thrifting and at estate sales.

Not sure you have malt vinegar in US. Here in UK you might have noticed people put it on their fish and chips. Well it's also a great brass and copper cleaner. Immerse item in a bowl of water and malt vinegar for a few hours and it comes out clean, ready to shine with a cloth. Particularly striking change for copper.

OMG, I had one of those organizers growing up in the 80's! I never would have thought that a plastic organizer like that would be worth anything.
I know! It's a mystery to me. All these years I though they were metal until I found one and realized it's plastic. I'm amazed people like them so much!

@@AllPutTogether one more- how long do you generally have items listed before they sell/before you adjust pricing? I need to temper my expectations as a shop owner 😆
I sell a lot of the same stuff, so if it sold once before at that price I will keep it that way indefinitely. Usually rather than reduce the price, I will run a sale for like 20% off and that usually will help move things along.

The textured paint on that large blue abstract painting is called impasto, which is usually put on with a palette knife.

I don't know if someone has said this yet but those candle holders look like they could be myrtlewood which is a cottage carving industry here in Oregon. I find a lot of it in the thrift stores here and I pick it up if it's in good condition. My favorite find so far is a myrtlewood lamp!
Agree they kinda feel like Myrtlewood to me too!

Great video thank you for sharing your cleaning tip can it be used on copper I have a vintage tea pot with ceramic handle but since I bought second hand I think it brass but could have copper. Thank you!
I am loving your haul videos. I am relatively new to your videos and I love that you love color! The wall behind you,is my style. Since I haven’t been with you long, I don’t know the answer to this: where do you buy your candles? Do you thrift them? I live in Florida where it is currently 3 degrees less than the temperature in Hell, and if you don’t store candles inside the wax becomes malleable and you get weird patterns or dents in them. When I buy them at places like Goodwill or Red White and Blue, they tend to be not something I would want to use for staging.
I have the most luck at estate sales. They tend to be less beat up. I stored some of my candles in my attic area a few years ago and when we got a weird 118 degree day, they all melted! Now they are always in the AC lol.

I'm in Oregon. Estate Sale prices are pretty good here. Our thrift stores are very very expensive!
