    I am so happy I found this video. I purchased the pattern and was confused in places and was wondering how I was going to make it. Thanks for supplying the information I needed.

    Thank you for sharing your video. I am just finishing the pattern myself and dipped in and out of your tutorial when I needed clarification. I am especially grateful for your tips on finishing at the end and so glad I watched to the end of your video before adding the final snaps - I'll take on board your comments before finishing off. Many thanks! Sherry from England, UK.

    Lovely tutorial, thank you so much. And as mentioned, I appreciate that it's quick and to the point. It was, however, weird watching you when your eyes were to the right.

      I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial Pam. I am sorry about the eyes. I haven't quite figured out where to look at my camera so it isn't weird for the viewer. Hopefully I will get it figured out!

      @@sewbeitquilts Have you ever used Kraft-Tex? It's part fabric, part paper but you can iron it, sew it! Look up Kraft-Tex Notebook Tutorial with Jackie of Stitchin' Post. I couldn't find it or the mini composition notebooks local so had to order them, but made several for Christmas gifts :)

    Interesting that you didn’t add the wallet stiffener piece but it still seems like a nice firm wallet. Presumably using a firmer interfacing removes the need for the decovil light piece.

    • @sewbeitquilts
      @sewbeitquilts  Před 2 lety

      It really just depends on the end result you want. Either way the wallet will look great. The stiffener will just add a little more structure.

    Great video! Thank you so much! Do you think it would be too thick if I used vinyl for the outside & quilt cotton for the inside?

    I did notice that when you open the wallet, one side of the credit card area is down. This is not the way I would want to have my credit cards open like. Do you think you can figure out a way for all the cards to open so they are not upside down? I would end up losing my credit cards for sure!! LOL Otherwise, I think I would want to buy this pattern. If you are Spencer can figure that out, then I for sure would buy this pattern. (Unless I would one before that time)

    • @sewbeitquilts
      @sewbeitquilts  Před 3 lety +4

      I understand your concern. I do think the extra side stitches placed along the slots will help keep the cards in pretty snug... but, no one wants to worry about losing credit cards.
      I think you could assemble the slots as the pattern shows, then instead of sewing the raw edge bottom of the card slots together sew one raw edge and one finished top edge together so they all face up. Then add some thin binding along the raw edge. I would probably add some binding the to the finished top edge too just for symmetry.
      Then baste it onto the card slot panel and sew down the middle as the pattern shows.
      I hope this made sense.
