- TNF 1990 Gore-Tex Mountain Shell Jacket is suitable for mountaineering and outdoor sports.
Main materials are made by 100% polyester; the side parts, the cuffs, the shoulders in black are made by 100% nylon and the inner material are 100% polyester.
Material type: Hardshell Material thickness: 190 g/m² and thetechnology applied is GORE-TEX, 2-layer laminate. All these properties gives this shell breathable, windproof and waterproof capability.
TNF Gore-Tex Mountain Shell Jacket 2023 release is suitable for outdoor sports, such as ski an trekking but I don't see it properly good for mountaineering from my personal standpoint.

I had a 1999 Neptuse down jacket I used on the AT and living in the woods of Virginia for two years. That was a beast of a jacket.. the new ones seem very poorly made in comparison.

Hi. Generally the fleeces that go in pair with triclimate shell are compatible with this shell. Go on these flecees (or middle layers) and see if on the #YKK zippers there is the 5VS tag... OK, they are compatible! ;)

In autum and spring you can wear it alone, in the winter you have to add a middle layer.

Hi. You have to conseder that both the new GTX and the Retro Mount are equal in terms of measurements.
If you want pair the Nuptse as middle layer, you have to choose the shell one size bigger than your Nuptse. 🙂

What is the chest measurement of the medium ? I’m in between small and medium.
Hi. Generally for TNF the chest measurement is between 102 106 centimeters for the Medium (it depends on the models).
For this GTX Mount you have to consider 106 cm.

Hi Roberto. Yes the 2023 version is a real GTX shell useful for ski or, in general, for trekking, hiking.
It remains a jacket not only useful for urban esploration, but for many outdoor sports . 🙂

Ciao. Per la '90 GTX vecchie edizioni (2016/17) c'era il blu, l'arancio, il bianco e qualche altra colorazione che non ricordo (ma non il rosa).
In rosa probabile che fosse statunitense o asiatica.

Ciao! Se voglio usare sotto la Denali 2 di taglia M che ho preso nel 2020 va bene la taglia M della Mountain Jacket?
Ciao. Ti consiglierei di prendere una L come guscio perché cosi hai lo spazio giusto, però anche la M andrebbe bene. 🙂
