The first slow part is helpful for listening for the beat if you want to hear the song on its own, since the first part is one of those songs that makes you lose track of the beat. Thank goodness for the clock ticking.
It also sounds weirdly better than the original with the clockwork beat😳
Oh yeah, hit sounds are actually really gold with a lot of the songs

this game looks confusing, how woulf you even press notes to go up down or straight
(Almost) every key on the keyboard can be used to press to the beat. When those circles (called 'planets') go over the next tile, it's time to press. You may need to press faster or slower depending on the angle (there were some 90° ones such as in the beginning) of a tile. There's also modifiers for a tile for changing the speed as well as animation events. The level editor is actually really well made.
