I accepted Christ as my savior in this church at the age of 6. I realized then that Jesus was real and that I needed him! On my next birthday I will turn 70, and there has never been a day, a minute or a moment when I ever regretted that decision. The worst thing I could imagine is leaving this life without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
1 Far away the noise of strife upon my ear is falling, Then I know the sins of earth beset on ev'ry hand: Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling, None of these shall move me from Beulah land. Refrain: I’m living on the mountain, underneath a cloudless sky, I’m drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry; O yes, I’m feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply, For I am dwelling in Beulah Land. 2 Far below the storm of doubt upon the world is beating, Sons of men in battle long the enemy withstand: Safe am I within the castle of God’s Word retreating, Nothing then can reach me- ’tis Beulah land. [Refrain] 3 Let the stormy breezes blow, their cry cannot alarm me; I am safely sheltered here, protected by God’s hand: Here the sun is always shining, here there’s naught can harm me, I am safe forever in Beulah land. [Refrain] 4 Viewing here the works of God, I sink in contemplation, Hearing now His blessed voice, I see the way He planned: Dwelling in the Spirit, here I learn of full salvation, Gladly I will tarry in Beulah land. [Refrain]

I LOVE the old time Gospel hymns! That’s what I was raised on. I know the contemporary songs have their place, but they’re not my choice. Give me the old time songs!
I long the old hymns as well (23 y/o) here. The fact that the contemporary songs were written recently is not the problem, at some point every old Gospel song we sing was “new”. The problem is the sensual, or rock and roll music, and lack of theological depth
I haven’t heard this hymn since I was a child. Wonderful, powerful singing. I’m fortunate to still be singing hymns in my church here in Melbourne, Australia. Thank you so much for these wonderful hymns. 🙏
Hearing and listening to the people of God singing out their heart unto the God of gods projects me to the realm of the praises of the beauty of His Holiness !!
While funeral services are often sad for those who have lost loved ones - family, friends, and others who have known and loved the one who has passed away, funeral services can also be times of great celebration for those who glory in the promise of God - Eternal Life. To those who are assured of God's promise, death is not the end, but rather the end of life as we now know it. To me, being able to share this message of promise and hope with all who have gathered together, can be both a time of reassurance for the believers and a time of sharing this promise to those who may not know or who may be uncertain of it. Wouldn't it be a time of joyous experience whenever people could leave the service with hearts of hope and promise of what will be and not ones of sadness of what once was? To me, "Dwelling in Beulah Land" - though not often sung at funeral services would be a great song with which to end the service. In addition to the familiar songs most often used, there are countless hymns of promise and hope that so beautifully proclaim this message. Watching these videos, listening to the gifted talent of the organists and pianists, hearing the congregation singing - regardless of age - and the dedicated and talented song leader who is so blessed with the gift of motivating others to raise their voices in praise, whose heart is not hungering to read more of God's word, prayerfully listen to His message, and sincerely strive to serve Him in all that he or she does. Daniel Baptist, I am so happy to have accidentally discovered these videos. I thank you so much for sharing them. May God continue to shower Southwest Baptist Church with blessings beyond measure. Now it's time to listen to another song!
Beautiful congregational singing and piano playing! This Church always has such uplifting music with the whole congregation participaing. Thank you! and thank you to Daniel Baptist for posting.
Amen, Larry! Our God is so worthy of our praise! Thus Christmas season, I thank the Lord for the birth of my Lord and Saviou, but if all, I thank Him for the perfect and spotless Blood of Jesus Christ! I am absolutely and constantly standing amazed Christ had forgiven me and HAS FORGIVEN me of ALL OF MY SINS, so that eternal glory waits for me on the other side of eternity! None of us have EVER been worthy of His great grace and enduring, everlasting mercy!
and playing in the key of A# can't be easy. We're doing this Sunday in G. Never heard it before and surprised that every rendition of it I find to listen to here is in that odd key.
@@derdeolifant A# is actually B major, what you mean is it includes A sharp. 5 sharps is difficult, that's true. Flats are easier to play than sharps, for some unexplainable reason.
Listening, and singing along at the same time, my mind wanders back to my childhood days when we would often sing this at my Methodist church Sunday School. Back then before we broke into separate classes, we would all join together - adults and children - and sing songs to begin our worship. "Dwelling in Beulah Land" was one that still stands out in my mind - In fact, I can still hear the voices of some of the older adults who helped lead the singing. My love for the song and the promising message it proclaims has stayed with me from my younger days right into my 75th year. In fact, this is definitely one of the songs I want played and sung at my funeral service because death to me is not an end, but rather the end of the beginning, and to me, a time of celebration and not of sadness. "Dwelling in Beulah Land" is upbeat and is definitely a song of celebration. By the way, the writer of this hymn also write the famous hymn, "In the Garden" Thanks for sharing this video - God's presence can truly be felt as the congregation sang. Amen!
What a melodious song of reality of how His children are truly lead by the Green Pastures & still waters under the cloudless skies of His unfailing grace & mercies, which are new every morning!!!. GREAT IS Thy faithfulness for ever & ever. AMEN. PRAISE THE LORD.
