Figured out some time ago this song was inspired by Russian poet Sergei yesnein , who wrote his suicide note and last poem in his own blood

As an emo 13 year old when this came out, I took it upon myself to find the inspiration for this and it blew me away.

Whatever era of BMTH you are in to, one thing you have to admit is that Oli is a great lyricist

Also turning a poem like that that would take 10 seconds to recite into a 4 minute metalcore song is pretty impressive

This is the most goated metal album in my personal opinion. Maybe I’m uncultured, maybe I don’t know much but I know I love this no-skip album and this song is severely underrated.

Well the screams he used were great death metal screams, I think the main issue is that if you're not familiar with that music and the patterns in it then it'll be hard to distinguish one song from the next in that album, I personally love metal of practically any kind, but even I have to admit that sometimes I couldn't tell a couple songs apart
