    Today I colored my hair with Ion Color Brilliance Light Copper Blonde. I started this off with a lower developer and the color didn't show up as well so I went with a higher developer. The second time I tried to correct the color Sally's didn't have the light copper blonde they only had the medium copper blonde so I had to use that with a higher developer. I have another flat iron video coming up so that you can see the real color once my hair is dry and flat ironed.

    Cosmetologist tip: when lifting more than 4 levels of hair (you lifted about 5-6) you need to use lightener and you can use 20-30 volume developer lightener you just need your hair a bit lighter so it could take. I also suggest when you part your hair into 4 that’s perfect. But when you apply the color and lightener, part your hair from the bottom in small sections working quickly and going upwards. Also remember hair color/ lightener / developer when mixed only lasts about 30-45 mins max but make sure you read the timing labels and check up on your hair! I also recommend doing a test strand so you don’t end up with all of those permanent hair color patches.

    Thank you for posting both the 20 vol vs the 30 vol. I get so confused when to use lighter color vs when to use a higher developer. This answered a lot of questions for me. Thank you!

    You always need a 30 or 40 volume to lift from dark brown or black to blonde, 20 volume will not do it.

      @@nekoklutzchanxd bleaching. These colors are really to be used on already blonde hair.
      So in order to get the color on the swatch in store they usually use a strand of hair that is usually bleached.
      You can’t go blonde without bleach 🙈

    Hello, You got a nice tone, do not make it clearer. This one was good for your skin, it turned dark red, you could see it under the lights, and in the sun if you go out you'll see the color, use an iron to smooth it, you'll see the color even better... I like it :)

    did you dye this on virgin hair? Did you have any previous hair dye before you did this Ion Light Copper Blonde?

    • @JustbeingAngela
      @JustbeingAngela  Před 4 lety +2

      It’s not on virgin hair. I think I had a dark brown dye in it at the time.
