I still remember being hypnotized by the observatory the first time I got there. The music and colours where so unexpected

@@thespeculativemusician it being a very dark game with doom gloom and scary vibes made it so so good. You're going through such a dark time in the game then boom, one of the most beautiful places in gaming. With equally beautiful music. It was kind of like a brief relief from the darkness.

Even as a kid i always loved this song, it always brought it sense of sorrow for some reason, but it didnt feel uninvited. The song is very beautiful.

Majora’s Mask has such a dark and creepy world, but locations such as the observatory or inside the Moon were beautiful sanctuaries that contrasted the harsh outer world
It’s a beautiful yet strange game… sometimes I feel it’s just a dream, and a nightmare…
Real blast to the past. I remember playing majoras mask with an uncomfortable feeling, but coming to the observatory gave me a good feeling. Almost like coming home after an exhausting day and just relaxing.
It is one of my favorites among the huge library of beautiful Zelda songs 🎵❤️

This song reminds me of when I transferred to a new school and I didn’t have any friends and wasn’t a part of the culture. I was on a school trip and I was feeling very lonely one morning at the beach. I just went to the shore and looked out to the distance humming this song to myself. It’s oddly comforting.
That sounds sad and really beautiful at the same time…
I used to hum the Lost Woods theme when I transferred to a new school and I missed home.
As a kid, I always made a point to go here for a few minutes... this tune always brought a sense of tranquility.

same here mostly. I remember it going to pick up majoras mask at the local funco land during the summer of 2000 with my brothers and dad and one of my older brothers played majoras mask and we all watched 👍 It was peak childhood for sure !

It's so true. I was a kid when Ocarina of time came out... Now I'm 34. I've never lost my love for these games and the fantasy fairy realm. It's been a heavy influence in the design of my new small business..

i remember playing on my older sisters 3DS and this song came on as I walked in and I liked it so much I searched it on the Wii U internet browser and listened for hours, even as I slept. This is what it sounded like to me at the time.

That would be (to me) simply something I couldn’t possibly describe, how ‘magical’ it would feel and how much happiness it would give me (I think about this both with MM and OoT)

These old Zelda games (Ocarina and Majora) had a bitter sweet quality to them that's difficult to describe. It's a similar kind of feeling I get when I think about a good friend from long ago that I'll probably never see again or even know how to contact.
When you get right down to it, they're the story of a boy who puts his whole life on the line to save the world. But in the end, he'll never get recognition for it. Few people will have any idea what he went through.

It’s such a strange yet a beautiful game…
it truly feels like gazing up at the stars on a open night sky, not minding the world around you as it hilts to a stop, although the actual track itself is the point of the game you realise IMPENDING DOOM IS COMING! nice post though.

my first time playing this with my dad and when we got here i felt kinda liked the song playing now here we are and the observatory is one of my personal favorite location in the game next to stone tower and the deku palace just for theme alone.
It’s kinda magical… I also love Stone Tower (and the Inverted version), and Deku Palace!!

There I was. It was 2017 I belive and my brother loaned me a 3ds. My goal to 100 percent MM. Yeah I played with miminal guide and could never get that last blasted heart piece. I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end.

I got Majoras Mask in 2002, in 10th grade.
Things were definitely different. I miss it.
But now, in bad days maybe I should remind myself that I'm lucky I had better ones.
It surely changed most of our lives (it surely did in my case, I wouldnt be a musician without Zelda)

Ah... Memories... I used to watch my sibling play this all the time, but never really got a good listen to this (he was always just blazin' through the game, which I guess ya' kinda' had to do but eh) After all these years, I'm still too intimidated to play Majora's mask - time limits make me a bit uncomfortable. But this does bring back pleasant memories.
