@@christinaculver5678 with ptsd, the central nervous system basically snaps. According to Peterson, it originates from not having a sufficient theory of evil to protect you from it. But I think that pretty much anyone, with enough push, can snap.
The way out of ptsd is to create a sufficient understanding of what happened so that your CNS can basically be recalibrated to take on all the “bullshit”. The problem being, when you grew up in a war zone with so much going on…how are you supposed to piece all of that together in your mind?
I have CPTSD from childhood trauma, but I can’t imagine what it must have been like growing up in that area. It sounds awful.

At least you should've learned a basic thing from all Dr Peterson's lectures on religions that no religion can be dangerous in and of itself. It's more fucking complicated than that, especially in the case of Islam because honey if you truly get educated on Islam you will hardly find any difference in the fundamentals of all 3 religions.
If you still gonna oversimplify complex situations and mix all shit together ( war and religion and politics and your fucking presuppositions),
you're gonna end up as dogmatic as the people that you see as terrorists

Anytime you think you have a supernatural divinity on your side, you can excuse any horror. Allah, Yahweh, Brahma, Quetzalcoatl, Enki, whatever. Fervent belief gives the believer licence to commit any atrocity. Even the Wehrmacht had "Gott Mitt Uns" (God With Us) on their belt buckles.
