Those people are just jealous haters who can't play the guitar 10% as well as Sungha could if he had one hand crippled and the other tied behind his back.

Julio Mendez, if you watch his live stream from April, you'll see he talks about wanting to more than just play the songs when he was younger. He wants to put his own spin on it with his arrangements. He wants to find his sound and find who he is. That's why he does songs this way now. If you want someone covering the song closer to the original, you can probably find a lot of covers like that online. It's not just about playing the song. It's about putting your spin on it. If everybody plays like Sting, it would be boring. It takes talent to put your own spin on it.
