Please don't watch this movie with a high expectations. The movie itself is great and cinematography is great. Great acting from every actor. Don't miss the period part which is very powerful and soul of the movie. Also the period part shot in Kolkata. So Rick it's a bonus ☺️
If such merging happens then bollywood will subsume each and every industry and throw out its own versions after destroying the rest. Keeping every industry individual is the key to protecting diversity. If anything, every industry must have more financial freedom.

Even if the languages will be different, local and rooted jokes/references will more likely be replaced with something having a pan-indian appeal. I think it is best kept the way it is. But people have to change their north-south differentiation mindset and respect each regional industry👍

This movie is a good one time watch. Especially if you plan to watch it in Romance month. After a long time did I see a movie with such great romance and chemistry between the main leads. I really thought romance was dead in Indian movies till I saw this movie. Really made me realise why I loved romance movies so much in the first place. Do give it a watch, it's available on Netflix. The cinematography is breathtaking. Especially in the period part. And the lead actors Sai Pallavi and Nani were incredible in it.

In his every reaction there has to be a sort of comparison of Bollywood with Hollywood... He should understand Bollywood is unique... Fyi .sai is not even bharatanatyam dancer but she justified the pranavalaya song so gracefully .I watched this song like many times just to see her dance. N the whole movie .she danced like an angel. All songs so great in this movie..she s a doctor as well , her dance might cure all her patients. I saw the making of this song. It's so beautiful done by kruti Mahesh .. D credit definitely goes to her and entire team as they deal with fire and the pancha boothangal.... spectacular...
It's about time our Bengali industry too pays tribute to South Industries and culture in general through such beautiful movies. But to be honest, we donot have the budget. Sadly one of the most progressive film industries of it's time has almost come to ruins now, thanks to "Bollywoodisation". We do have directors and actors who shine like diamonds in coal, but most of what is left is trash. Good movie btw.

I really thought romance was dead in Indian movies till I saw this movie. Really made me realise why I loved romance movies so much in the first place.
Do give it a watch, it's available on Netflix. The cinematography is breathtaking. Especially in the period part. And the lead actors Sai Pallavi and Nani were incredible in it.
The lyrics of this song is very divine. It’s a hymn for the Goddess Sri Lalitah Devi. Beautiful meaning, although I dont speak this language nor do I understand it but the song from this movie are soo melodic.

More than the dancers and the dance performance…can we talk about the camera man and his cinematography. omg how maravellous it is that we are able to enjoy this to 100 percent. Imagine this dance perfromance set with a single centre shot and inbetween little shots of the audience ,it would look like a excellent cultural dance performance from colleges or schools . Ps: i am not degrading any dancers here. I am just comparing for the sake of the cinematographers performance.

Every time I see Rick. He reacts in such a way that he is a great producer or critic to this entire Bollywood industry. He is a great judge. In his every reaction there has to be a sort of comparison of Bollywood with Hollywood... He should understand Bollywood is unique... If Indian dancers are good he starts compare them with Michael Jackson... If some great artists are there in India, then he starts comparing them with Hollywood ... Why ???? And we Indians give respect to these reactions ....

Fyi .sai is not even bharatanatyam dancer but she justified the pranavalaya song so gracefully .I watched this song like many times just to see her dance. N the whole movie .she danced like an angel. All songs so great in this movie..she s a doctor as well , her dance might cure all her patients.

It's about time our Bengali industry too pays tribute to South Industries and culture in general through such beautiful movies. But to be honest, we donot have the budget. Sadly one of the most progressive film industries of it's time has almost come to ruins now, thanks to "Bollywoodisation". We do have directors and actors who shine like diamonds in coal, but most of what is left is trash. Good movie btw.
