Quantum mechanics and the big bang theory, true everything requires scientific proof or physical or reasonable evidence, but here is the extreme counter argument that puts it where it can be the proof for both sides of the argument. "Nonething is something, something is nonething." If the universe can come from nonething what is it going to stop from a spiritual or every thing entity from existing or not or both from nonething? That's what I have not seen in this book which I believe it needs to be dressed.

God is real, and so is his son the Christ just not in the way people were taught to believe. There is a heaven and a hell and life eternity, but not in the way people perceive. This knowledge is not given to just anyone, so says the bible, and these people with their honors and higher learning think that they know everything. They know nothing. Nothing. The bible was full of these smart, emotionally intelligent people, and none had seen God, for he is too uncomplicated and simple, they are looking up at the sky and at the infinite expanse, so dark and unfathomable, it is impossible to see. I do not blame them at all. You need a key, and that key is given by God, so until then, those who believe there is a God, seek him, seek to know the truth and he shall reveal Himself to you and you shall be enlightened.

@@memento4940 duh dude the answers are not supposed to be going that simple, but again I'm not making assumptions. I'm just saying due to mountain of evidence in quantum physics in it can literally accept every probability no matter how low the odds are it still can happen. Virtual particles get created out of no where the more empty space time is the more stuff gets put into the void dispite the odds. You failed to find a counter argument, unless your not proven your point well enough. The way I see the world evidence is very subjective. Here's how I look at the bible for example: the old definition of evidence has to been observing back then, so when jesus came in history if he really is not real why hadn't bible just get thrown away and forgotten through out history? The only way it could of stand is by many observers who were once live saw jesus doing maricales. As conquence it became a story of facts. True the bible today has many contradictions only because it was translated or the language was not well evolved in the days. Doesn't mean it has to be flase because of assumptions it was only way to document what people discovered there was no way to preserve the proof except the book pasted down thoundsands of years. Over time we changed our definition of evidence to either math or testable ability to be used. Science is best describe by using knowledge into the real world technology, any knowledge that is beyond that cant be used into technology is not useful. The only thing today has not changed is observation is believing which leads to me to conclude that something in those events in the bible had to be true, but who knows because again its very subjective.

Richard Dawkins teaches the universe came from "literally nothing."
Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it.
We can't get anything from "literally nothing." We can't even get science without God. The laws of nature only can come from a Lawgiver, God.
God is the reason for us and all we have.
      czcams.com/video/JiMqzN_YSXU/video.html
“However improbable the origin of life might be, we know it happened on Earth because we are here.” -Richard Dawkins.

@@treygonzalez5252 Isaiah 40:22 talks about a circle, not a sphere. Flat earth theories have circular worlds. They also don't include anything supporting the earth, so Job 26:7 isn't that impressive as well.
Wow, it's so impressive that people looked to the night sky and found it nearly impossible to count every star. Additionally, Genesis 15:5 states that there are too many stars to count, not that there are an infinite number of them.
Wow, it's so impressive that people saw things decay and die and thought that the Earth itself may die. Isaiah 51:6 mentions no laws of thermodynamics - it just describes an observation that people made of the world.

Both are part of nature, the genuine and the imposters…….every action must have an equal and opposite reaction……it’s life.?

The fact that there is a conscience in every human being, which causes a person to regret committing any form of evil, is another strong proof of the existence of God. Otherwise, such a repulsion of evil would not have existed in his heart. Instead, he would have freely done whatever he wills. Therefore, this knowledge of good and evil has actually been placed in the hearts of men by God in order to direct their attention towards Himself.[9]

From my earliest memories I had no interest in religion nor desire to study its literature. At 12 the world started to make more sense to me and I then had the words to say that I had no belief. By 15 I was saying that I was an atheist. At 52 I identify as an anti theist as I rail against religions and blind belief. If anyone reading this can show ANY proof for ANY supernatural phenomena, including ANY gods, I will the first successful respondent $8,750 USD via an immediate PayPal payment. It is only in the last 300 y that a few small group of europeans dedicated some serious time to science and math. Then it took off like a rocket ship, once the fuse was lit.

That's a very good point about the number of atheists: the true number would include those who "aren't religious". There are a substantial number of people out there who simply don't feel very compelled to have a faith / belief aspect in their lives, and don't go through a lot of thought on the subject, and that should be totally okay. These people aren't going to vouch for atheism and shouldn't have to, just as they won't vouch for a particular religion.

Atheism is basically another word for loser.

By asking who created God, Dawkins is referring to a created god.
Now if he had named the title of his book " The created god's delusion", he would not have sold many books or become so wealthy, as nobody believes in created gods, not even Christians.
So the only thing he is debunking is the idea of created gods, which we agree with, but he could have written a far shorter book.
Christians don't believe in created gods/idols either - We believe in God. The uncaused/uncreated eternal living God.

You can't apply certain rules to universe and then a seperate one to god. If you do so. Give valid reasoning. If you argument is. God is almighty and the same rules don't apply. That is bull. In scientific eyes that is absolute bull. As Dawkin says blind faith.

kaister901 We can look at it in a different way.
God cannot be created. He is not a created God, by definition. He is eternal: Timeless. He exists external to our observable reality.
Space is created. It was thus created by an external agent, it is not eternal: time frame of 13.8 Bn years. It exists within our reality.
Space( as we have come to know the black expance ) is not nothing, it is an object of nature, with it's own natural characteristics. Something like space whicht is not eternal and has an age cannot create itself within the realm of itself. It finds it's beginning beyond itself. Thus anything we can observe on earth within the grasp of our reality, is created by something other than itself. an external agent if you will.
You may choose to not call that external agitator/agent God. You might call it something else. But by any degree of contemplation, you have to finally arrive at the thought that something outside this universe is responsible for the existence of everything within it. The universe is not the creator of itself.
What ever you think created God will have to fall behind in the same que as space and it will have to explain it's own existence outside of itself.

[D]o we need a God to set it all up so a Big Bang can bang? … Our everyday experience makes us convinced that everything that happens must be caused by something that occurred earlier in time. So it’s natural for us to assume that something-perhaps God-must have caused the universe to come into existence. But when we’re talking about the universe as a whole, that isn’t necessarily so.

The role played by time at the beginning of the universe is, I believe, the final key to removing the need for a Grand Designer, and revealing how the universe created itself. … Time itself must come to a stop [at the singularity]. You can’t get to a time before the big bang, because there was no time before the big bang. We have finally found something that does not have a cause because there was no time for a cause to exist in. For me this means there is no possibility of a creator because there is no time for a creator to have existed. Since time itself began at the moment of the Big Bang, it was an event that could not have been caused or created by anyone or anything. … So when people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the Big Bang, so there is no time for God to make the universe in. It’s like asking for directions to the edge of the Earth. The Earth is a sphere. It does not have an edge, so looking for it is a futile exercise.
      - Stephen Hawking
You can look it up that argument is by far the weakest and most over used argument that has been dismissed countless times. Yet people like you and others keep running to it. The we don't know what happened before the big bang is the almighty god of the gaps argument that is totally not accepted.

      @meta4282 Před 7 lety

kaister901 thanks for the reply - for once it's a civil response amidst all the anger and name calling out there from the others
If time did not exist prior to BB, it begs another question:
What 'banged"? Something ( a particle perhaps) had to have exploded/expanded in order for there to have been a 'bang'.
If that particle existed prior to it going bang, then it must have existed within a particular dimension. Nothing cannot create a bang - we all know this.
So, if the particle existed within a certain dimension or space prior to it expanding rapidly, then by definition we can attribute certain time frame characteristics to said particle, meaning that if there was no time and no dimension: the particle could not have existed and would have no cause to create BB. Thus by virtue of the above, we have to say that there was some form of dimension other than what we currently perceive as space before the BB.
The question in a purely naturalistic scientific arena is this: Put the BB on the side and ask yourself in what dimension did the BB occur if not in space-time, and how did that dimension come into existence prior to space-time?
There is no eternal existence in our observable universe. Everything we have seen and ever will see in our lives had a beginning and end. Even the universe itself.
I suppose where you and I part ways is that as a Christian I conclude the following:
Since everything we see and observe has a beginning and end. Since everything we see finds its existence external to itself and since the dimension that gave origin to the whatever was responsible for the BB had to have had an existence in some way or form, I concede that only an all powerful, eternal, omnipotent and all knowing agent could have caused theses dimensions. There is nothing prior to this agent and nothing after it. I have come to know this agent/dimension/force as a personal God - Jesus Christ.
We may well differ on this, but I implore you to not look at the world out there and conclude that it's all empty, and that science will fill the void. Science as an existentialist philosophy will drop you stone cold dead if it has to. Do not let hypocritical Christians be the benchmark by which you measure the plausibility that an all powerful creator stands behind the backdrop of our existence.
By no means should this be a deterrent or incentive, but if you are wrong about this, are you prepared to suffer the eternal consequences?
I don't want to give a sermon here, but please do yourself a favour and have one last good look at the 4 main gospels - get to learn the character of Jesus Christ first before anything else - it is the single most important thing to understand. You cannot possibly understand the Bible without knowing Christ first.
John 14:6 - I am the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the Father except through me.
The good news is that the all powerful force that created everything has written our names on the palm of his hand. He calls us by name and he knows every single hair on our bodies, because he placed it there. He loves us dearly and wants us to commit to him.
1 Tim 2:4 - ...God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
I do not want to risk spending eternity in condemnation, when I can set aside my self-pride & the things that I have learnt from man and submit to God and be in pursuit of Jesus Christ's character.
Thanks for reading. hope to hear back.
