Chanyeol has always been called EXO's happy virus but he is also one of the softies in the group. it's been a year since he finished his mandatory enlistment and he started working for his first solo album right away. but until now, we really don't know which stage he is in his prep. and this might be because of their issue with the company. D.O is no longer under exclusive contract with SM starting this November, altho' he would still work with and as EXO. we all know the suit filed by Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin to terminate their contract prior to the comeback. a week ago, it was in the news that Chanyeol and Sehun will be joining another company for their solo projects, which SM refuted immediately. Chanyeol and Sehun has yet to address this. a few months ago, it was disclosed (media play) that Baekhyun will be starting his own company for his solo projects and he received so much backlash. Baekhyun verified that he actually is but will still continue as EXO. well, it turns out that one of the amendments in their contract ( probably brought about by the CBX suit) was that they could opt out of their exclusive contract PROVIDED that they would only do solo work under their own respective agency that they'd establish themselves. they couldn't join another established company. and EXO activities would still be under SM. SO RIDICULOUS! so yeah, this song is perhaps Chanyeol's message to EXO and EXOLs that we will be fine. it really seems that EXO is only staying with SM just for the sake of everything EXO; there's just no way SM would let them use the group name, their songs and all things about them under another company. disgusting company. if only EXO received fair and just treatment from them then there won't be such issues. sorry for this long comment. it's just frustrating for me as an EXOL. i hope whatever happens in the future, you'd still support the boys. Chanyeol, D.O. and Chen have been put through the ringer in the news over the past year, I am glad they relied on no one else but each other to get through tough times, and with the backing of true Exol. Baekhyun is in the process of starting his own company. D.O. just announced he is leaving SM and starting his own company. Sehun will be leaving for military. Suho, D.O., Sehun and Chanyeol have been touring to various Kcons and appearing in many solo TV shows. With the group split up when it comes to SM, supposedly all members are still part of Exo the group but only under SM. What all members plan to do as a group is up in the air, as SM has been trying to keep a tight reign on the members, yet it didn't stop Baekhyun and D.O. from quitting SM as per solo activities and announcing their own companies to proceed with freedom, and being in control of their own personal journeys. Chanyeol in essence made this song to show that together, through all these monumental changes, they will have each other's back always...and to let Exol know that we shouldn't be panicking about Exo's future, we might not see Exo the group for awhile, but that whatever comes in the future, they will be fine, and as of today, what they do for themselves will be good enough for them. And we need to know that if Exo the group doesn't get to do music anymore, we should be happy for them, it comes with a sad sentiment, but nothing lasts forever, and as they are now, whether in hiatus or looking for work, they will be good enough for us.
