Cheap Bathroom Makeover

- This is our master bathroom. We live in a trailer built in the mid 80's and this bathroom needed/needs some major attention. Until we can fully refinish it we wanted to give it a cheap facelift. We decided we needed a new vanity and top so we had one custom built for us out of swamp maple. This was the most expensive part of the project and wasn't originally in the plan. After getting the vanity in it was a pretty simple and cheap makeover. We painted the walls with paint from Sherwin Williams, put new trim up and played peel and stick flooring. So much better than the original bathroom but if we had to do it again we would choose a different color for the wall and different peel and stick tiles. Those and the vanity clash pretty hard.

I have lived in a crappy 80's trailer before. You did a great job in that bathroom. The tub will have to be cut and taken out in sections, but it will be a major job with new wood and floor underneath. One thing I learned from my hubby who was a Glazier when we married.....when using caulk, run your bead, then lick your finger and run it along that bead. It will give you a pro finish to it. I applaud you for the reno. That vanity is awesome!
Yeah the tub will be cut to manageable pieces. We fully remodeled our other bathroom. Completely gutted it, moved a wall and cut out and replaced the subfloor. We have some practice at it and expect this bathroom to be a similar job. It definitely needs drywall too. No more paneling for us.
@@TheInexperiencedAdventures Oh my gosh! I forgot about the paneling! I hope to never see paneling again in my life!! I remember painting paneling. It seriously refused to look nice.
