    Very nicely done! I just bought this model, and also extra photo-etch for the exterior from Eduard. I built BR52 two years ago, and loved the model!

      Augusto Martinez Paredes Great! btw i got my BR 86 some Days ago! Really a good Kit! When i build it, it should look like one from the German DB.

      Augusto Martinez Paredes Are there any things with the Kit that might be tricky?

    • @Backlgt
      @Backlgt  Před 8 lety +1

      +Lee78072 The tricky things about this model are wheel mechanisms. you sohuld sand it well to get a correct fit. The are some pieces that are too thin, and might broke. just be carefull.

      I used white, grey and black primer, then flat black and drops of white for lightning... They are all vallejo acrylics.😉

      @Backlgt  Před 6 lety

      its ok, but as you can see in real life locomotives, they are always very clean. thanks for the comment

      Die sehr gepflegten Lokomotiven sieht man allerdings meist nur bei den privaten Museumsbahnen.
      Im Erzzug-Regelbetrieb in den 60er Jahren sahen die Lokomotiven entsprechend den Witterungsbedingungen anders aus. Besonders gegen Ende der Dampftraktionszeit wurde kein Wert mehr auf Rostfreiheit mehr gelegt.

    would you mind motorizing it or leave it as a display item?

    • @Backlgt
      @Backlgt  Před 5 lety

      Marie BCFHS just as display, moving parts are made pf very thin plastic, so it could break. Greetings

      Lamentablemente no, compro algunos modelos y los armo como un pasatiempo, aunque me falta mucho para llegar a un nivel tan avanzado como en el del video. Quizas si mejore mis modelos, pueda unirme a un club de modelismo o algo así :D

    Can it move?

    • @Backlgt
      @Backlgt  Před 2 lety

      Yes , it can, but the pieces are too weak, so they can break. I recommend to build this model just to showcase

  • @ashleydenbigh5185
    @ashleydenbigh5185 Před 8 lety

    can you make the wheels move??

    • @rarejer
      @rarejer Před 8 lety +1

      +ashley denbigh I built the BR 52 model, and the wheels did not move. I think the plastic is not strong enough to move the rods and wheels. It would be nice, because that is one of the most fascinating things to watch on a steam locomotive.

    • @Backlgt
      @Backlgt  Před 8 lety +2

      +ashley denbigh the complete wheel mechanism can move, but i don't recomend to do it, because plastic is too weak and might break, i just left them steady. it's your choice.
      regards

      @rarejer Před 8 lety +1

      +Jaroslav J. Peterka Hey, thanks! The photo etch came in and I think it's awesome. So tiny! The bolts heads are to be folded, and just over 1mm long! Insane! I am laughing now, but the model itself will be here soon,and the laughter will stop... and hard work begin! That's what I signed up for. I love Trumpeter models.
