this is a scene of fighter's medical training class, tokyo japan.ayato kitajima, who was the champion of kyokushin karate all japan tournament, shows his technique. www.kakukuri.com
@ubersum1 its the same in thai the kick is meant to come down at a 45 bdegree angle, aimed at the neck, thigh, slightly different when kicking midsection, this is originally a thai kick adopted by kyokushin dont forget Oyama trained with the thais! also in taekwon do he was a korean!!!
i like how this shows how hard it is to master just one technique and how many little things your brain goes through when doin somethin like a roundhouse. martial arts is too good
because its a high kick so it kick downwards angle just like muaythai basically this move is quite same with muaythai just muaythai hit with shin ,this type of roundhouse is very popular in MMA or many fight, cuz its produce from power of rotation of hips, transfering the whole body power into the kick,if it hits ,your leg will reflect back from your target to your basic stance,if miss it require a 360 degree because of overpowered and yourleg cant control the power so it turns 360,some pros miss theirkick and stop at 300/280 degree because the impact comes between the degree and can be stop immediately
Dude Kyokushin was created in the 60's It is still evolving and changing if a kick works then it is not one style or another its an effective kick. I train in kyokushin karate and I workout in muay thai shorts there are not Kyokushin shorts
from muay thai ?? haha :D this is brazilian kick... brazilian kick in muay thai, in kyo, and i dont which another type of fight in.. but most of most of k1 fighters use it... k1 fighters how has been started with kyokushin :)

Thanks for sharing this, it really pieced some things together I was struggling to understand after doing chambered / in step kicks for years.
no, the roundhouse kick is a kick used in many different martial arts, plus theres a lot more hand movement with the thai kick

@utb008 That's that he is kyokushin, not thai fighter. And many thai fighters would powned by him. So that's the point.
やっぱり先生凄いな。現役時代はどれだけ強かったんだろう...

Shin. When fighting full contact you always want your shin to make contact not the foot, as you can injure the foot and/or ankle.
could someone translate the last part about the arm swinging thing?? please?
awesome, it looks like if a kick like that were to hit on some one it would do some heavy damage.
