The previous gen IS had terrible rear space, this was a huge improvement over the old model plus the previous model didn’t have folding rear seats.

@John-tk6wd i have a 2009 is 250 awd iv had a bunch of cars and its a fun reliable car ablut to get a 2017 is 300 awd . If its your daily you just cant beat a lexus and coupe s are just so im practical iv had 2 it gets old sometimes u need room specifically the back seat girl are gunna like the lexus not the toyota

Love how the more he drove it the more he liked it… says a lot about Lexus Toyota quality! Also did not think the downshifts were that bad. Seem snappy enough.

Not hating at all, I respect all the work this guy put into the video, but had to stop the video when he said 5-10 hp.
Trans is going to have a slow response its AWD......transmission has to push and pull at the same time, so reaction is going to be slow.
The Q50 is 5 inches longer than this car and has a longer wheelbase. It makes no sense that it'd be less spacious than this IS.
Big plastic pannels everywhere are filling the gap.
The new Mercedes E class is also bigger than the older version, but is less roomier in the inside.
This plastic pannel craze has no logic on itself, but it's still pretty much the trend actually.
I'm 6ft 3 and the q 50 is a tight fit compared to the e 300 but I only sat int the for 5 minutes so take with a grain of salt

How would you compare the reliability to the G37
Don’t have long term knowledge about is350, but I’ve owned my G37 since September 2017 and have only had to change oil and break pads!
Many owners have done over 400k miles on there is350 with zero issues the 2GRFSE is a power house that will keep going forever

The newer camrys are lookers too. They sure have come a long way. But I got one of these for the rwd

those 6-speeds are trash the 8-speed is way better. Dont get awd if u want the 8-speed
These 6 speeds are ultra durable
6 speeds are known to do 500k miles with no dramas.. good luck getting an 8 speed to last that long
I’ve got the 6 speed gets the job done no problems what’s so trash about them have you even driven one or just watched video lol
@@stevemoncaster2560 UPDATE! I was completely wrong those 2is350 are godly. I looked at this comment and was shocked I wrote this 2yrs ago. 😂. But Ill definitely takr the 2is350 over the 3is350. 3is350 just has updated tech thats it.

probably because the german brands will be at a mechanic shop
the toyota is more reliable then the bmw or marceedes
lOl. as someone who drives the benz/audi/porsche models on a daily basis, i can confirm lexus is superior in a lot of ways. much easier to work on, and way more reliable. most of the dumb mercedes buyers who come thru my dealer think just because it has the mercedes emblem on the front makes it good. typical idiots.

Charles facts! I bought a 535xi and it has been in the shop over 6 times for various things in the past year and a half, about to sell and pick up an is350 f sport!
