    Interesting but dangereous and was already implemented partly in other tools. First, please do not simply upload company or customer data to chatgpt. At least in the EU it can get you fired. Check before with your companies IT. Second, allthough it is nice for a quick overview, actual data analysis is way more tedious and messy. You need domain knowledge and look at specific data points to understand what is going on and how you can use that data to draw conclusion or move forward to e.g. ML. Data Analysis tools have for years had in built tools to automatically clean your data, but in reality nobody uses them for good reason.

    All of this content feels like it was created by GPT. Repeatedly saying things as broad as "clean your data" with no qualifiers or exceptions shows a massive lack of data experience. "Format" would be a much more appropriate term here. And telling people that they can be a data analyst by uploading a file and asking a basic question is about as ridiculous as the term "prompt engineering". Asking a question does not make someone a data analyst or engineer. Also no mention of validating results of "cleaning" or the analysis itself.
    Having written thousands of scripts to MUTATE data over my career, this is an incredible feature, but if you aren't/can't validate results at multiple steps, its reliability is highly suspect.

    • @ai-foundations
      @ai-foundations  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the feedback. This content was created by me so I’ll take the compliment hahah. I found using the word ‘clean’ in an LLM setting had the best results when reformatting the data, removing incomplete data or duplicates. Doesn’t mean it’s right or wrong, I just have to see what the LLM responds to best. I’m just a normal dude trying to show others how they can get a good understanding of their data and spreadsheets through ChatGPT. Good starting point for those who don’t have time or money to spend years in school studying data I think! Thanks again for the feedback man. You should give it a shot to validate the process yourself, it’s quite amazing.

    • @stephenr85
      @stephenr85 Před 3 měsíci

      @@ai-foundations appreciate the thoughtful response. I think the only way to really validate the resulting datasets is to run them through a code validator. To automate this, it probably needs to be done via the API. I'm currently creating some data analysis tools via the API for a work project, so I think the use case is coming shortly...
      A semantics suggestion - prompting AI does not make someone the thing they're prompting for. This probably really irritates anyone from a respective profession. Asking it to write you a book does not make you a writer, and asking it to write some code does not make you a programmer. Using language like "you have the power of a [data analyst, writer, coder, etc] at your fingertips" would be much more correct. But, in the same way that GPT gets A LOT of facts wrong, the integrity of those results should ALWAYS come with a caveat.
