This was very touching. As parents we often resort to any measure necessary to provide for our child/ren and sometimes we make decisions that we wouldn't made of things were better. I'm happy judge didn't go hard on the aunt, she understood what was happening and she found solutions to helping them. May God provide for them and may their relationship strengthen with time...
Man I was so broke that I had a dvd player that I can rent the movies & TV shows from the library for free & had the antenna for 5 channels. When my son was very young & I taught him how to do better & there is the need & want, just earn it & know what is ur goal is. Now he is 20 yrs old & he is doing better than me & I taught him very well. I'm very proud of him.

The aunt may have had a hard life....coming from Haiti, losing her sister to cancer and having to raise 4 children on a shoestring budget.....but that DOES NOT give her the right to steal her niece's identity and use her social security number to put bills in her niece's name....and then not pay the bills and ruin her niece's credit. There are other ways for her to pay bills on her own. She could have reached out to organizations that help low-income families pay bills. She could have reached out to social services. And then she has the nerve to say HER NIECE is being disrespectful for being angry that her aunt ruined her credit. Her niece helped take care of the children. She got a job to help with the bills. And now that she's an adult, she can't fly on her own because her credit is ruined and all her aunt could say is "the kids NEEDED cable and I was GOING to pay the bills".
In the case of the aunt and niece the extreme disrespect of the aunt to use her nieces identity and then have the nerve not the pay the bills. that is disrespect upon disrespect upon disrespect and she didn't even apologize. To try to even manipulate her way out of it by saying they didn't have money is just gross. how can you sit there and even think of Defending that
