horseygurl143 I was in Taif from 1980-83. Only made it to Jeddah on weekends to go snorkeling in the red sea.... and explore the souq... hopefully they have not completely destroyed the magnificent old sougs.... most of the aold buildings and old souq in taif were torn down.

We used to snorkel at a couple of places on the Creek and also north of there at a cabin on the sea where someone kept a pet vulture. Yeah, those old buildings were so fascinating, with the history that they held, and such. Saudis love modernization, though.
