When you said "aging is a privilege that is denied to many" it made me actually appreciate getting close to 30 and now imma stop lying and saying I'm 21 🤣🤣❤
😂😂 everytime someone asks me how old I am I always go to answer 19 before I stop and think and realise I’m 31 😆
Stephanie Lange Im 52 and have to stop and think before answer too 😅
@@stephanielange I'm 26 now but keep thinking like 21/22 lol
Girl... we’ll leave it at that...
I say I'm celebrating my 25th for the ompth time...6th year,or however many it is that year. And I will admit, 25 gets easier every year.🤣
"Aging is a privilege denied to many" very classy, beautiful and true statement.
Wear your age with pride ladies! I'm 36 going on 37 in January and have come to terms with "40 being right around the corner". What we need to do is to embrace our bodies, skin and hair as we age and love ourselves as we would a fine wine. Work on being our healthiest selves vs. our "youngest" selves. Yes, do all your skincare and vitamins...but when/if you age does come up, be proud of your years of experience and wisdom. Don't be part of a trend, set it!
Amen sis
Yes! I’m going on 38! And and I couldn’t agree with you more! You look amazing by the way 🙂
Yes! love this! Its now February when I'm reading this comment that you posted a few months ago... and I realize that means your 37th birthday has already come and gone...but Happy Belated Bday! Everything you said is very true. And we women in our thirties know that makeup has come such a loooong way. We actually have access to great products now days AND the knowledge of how to use it to enhance our features... unlike years ago. Lol.
For those who dont know- when we grew up, a typical makeup look consisted of basically a shimmery white or blue eyeshadow, lip liner with no lipstick (or frosted lips. OR that black lipstick with the visible lip liner), heavy eyeliner, and some totally orange colored foundation/bronzer that did NOT match the skin on your neck! Haha!! Can't forget the super thin eyebrows, and to complete the look..you crimped your hair, maybe did a zig zag part and threw in some butterfly clips, wore a choker, some brand new pleather pants or mini skirt, and platform shoes!😂 ahh the 90's. Was such a happy time though.
@@sweetaimee11 hope you will have an amazing 38 ♡♡
At least you didn’t turn 40 during lockdown
"Aging is a privilege that is denied to many". Wow! Sooooo true, Stephy!
👏🦄💖
Specially in the times of corona
After my youngest brother and father passed a few years back, my attitude about aging changed. It is truly a privilege denied to many. Great video, much love to you and your family. ❤️
Danielle Thomas yes that is definitely a blessing aging ❤️❤️❤️
Danielle Thomas, respect, girl! Take care!
I'm truly so sorry Danielle 😔 After my sister passed away I aged really badly in my face.😢 I am so sorry 😢 They are definitely in a better place.
I am feeling this hard right now. I just lost my big brother
@@liv548 sorry for your loss. Sending you virtual hugs 🤗
finally a makeup artist who's over 25.
Whoaaaa 25 lol seriously?
Right!? 😂😂😂👌
Try Sam & Nic Chapman at Pixiwoo...they are the original CZcams makeup artists and they are fantastic!
Ali Andrea is over 30 and she’s another great one!
I agree in that I absolutely adore both this woman & her content! But that being said, maybe broaden your "beauty world" horizon a bit😉 Bc yeah, lol not all MUA's come from tiktok ya know! Like there actually quite a few fabulous & popular pro MUA's out there that are waaay over 25!🤷🏼♀️ That's what kind of makes them more a "pro" ya know? Just saying!!!😊
The lighting you use is like real life... I appreciate that so much. There are so many CZcams folks that use such bright, flattering light, that I can never replicate the look!
I HOPE THIS VIDEO IS HELPFUL FOR YOU GUYS!! Love you ❤️❤️❤️
Stephanie, FYI this video didn't send out a notification. I watch all your videos and have been on YT all morning, def didn't notify. Just thought you should know. Love you! x
Thanks for letting me know that Natalie! youtube is always doing that to my videos :( xx
@@stephanielange You're welcome, lucky I was on insta, otherwise I would have missed it. YT sucks atm, I hope they get it fixed for you soon. x
Same here; about all day! I only found it because I clicked her channel to look something up right now. It is not in my feed whatsoever. Subs or inbox
@Stephanie Lange it definitely helped me, I'll be 40 in the fall 😥🥳
You are so down to earth and humble. It is so refreshing to see somebody on CZcams who actually represents me, a woman in my early 30s. Love you! Keep rocking on, badarse mumma.
I’m in my 50s. The more makeup I wear, the older I look. I about lost it when you loaded up with the powder, LoL. Thank you so much for all your makeup tips.
I am 48 and I use a setting spray. And a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation. It works for me and looks nice even in sunlight. She actually has more lines than I do 😂
Well, she’s only 32 not 50 .. Huge difference
@@ytreece Which setting spray do you use?
@@ytreece You didn’t have to put her down, but hey, if it makes you feel better about yourself. 😒
Sandra I'm 51 and I noticed the same thing. I figured it helps save time on make up lol. I just wear a little mascara and a little anti-redness cover up in places and a lip tint.
"Aging is a privilege that is denied to many." I just wanted makeup techniques and now I gotta wait until I stop tearing up 😭
In 20 years theres a lot changed , learning again.. Now 51 and this video is amazing for me, who else learned from this great lady and her beautiful mom? Thank you so much
I know this is an older video, but I have to say thank you for the hooded eye tutorial here. It was so helpful to me. And your mother is so gorgeous, as are you! ~ Jennifer
Girl, nine months ago is not that old. Lol
Agree entirely
I just discovered your channel. I just wanted to add that as an older woman, I really appreciate the fact that you include clips of your mother. I purchased the Elf Bite Sized eyeshadow palette in "Truffle" and use the brown and black colors as eyeliner!
I love that you include your Mom! shes the best!
I know you've done similar videos in the past, but I am SO EXCITED to see someone over the age of 30 show different applications and without using a filter! Thank you for showing your skin texture. It makes me feel like I'm much less of a failure when it comes to makeup. I have a looooong way to go to get to where you are, but I do feel better about my foundation now.
I'm only 28, but I'm definitely getting fine lines and my skin in changing. Skin care plus these tips are a must.
I absolutely love how real you are, you show us what bad makeup actually looks like and your not afraid to show your human skin, everyone on CZcams and Instagram uses filters and perfect lighting and ALWAYS LOOK PERFECT, leaving us not perfect people feeling like trash. Sorry for the rant, and thank you for being real(:
😭 I’m 37 and you literally saved my makeup routine and wow what a difference! Thank you!
This is the best make up tutorial I've EVER watched. I'm 51 with large pores and hooded eyes (since forever) and I've learned so, so much. THANK YOU.
Love this! I am 36 & definitely cannot apply foundation & concealer the way early 20’s do. It ages the under eye so much!
I'm over 30,but I love eye liner. Every day. You are so cute!
I'm almost forty and I wear a cats eye every day 😁
Agreed, I’m around the same and wear a cat eye often... but I think the truck is in the application. She obviously did it poorly on purpose here x
Turned 53 just yesterday and you just affirmed all of things I am doing right for my age/skin type and I learned some new techniques! Thank you Stephanie! Love your videos, keep it up!
I'm 33 starting CZcams and freaking out about my visible aging on film. Thank you so much for this video!!
I always think a foundation with more of a healthy glow instead of the full-on matte look looks much better on mature skin! And that Huda foundation gave me flashbacks to your wear test videos :p
The comparison between the two sides makes the mistakes so obvious, it is incredible.
I love this! Both the makeup and the reminder that the aging process is a privilege. Thank you for staying true to yourself. One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was always be a lady. That is what you are, stay classy!
I realize this is an old video. HOWEVER.... I have just have this: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR NIT USING A CRAZY FILTER OR BLURRING YOUE SKIN!! Texture is normal and Beautiful! And girl you are GORGEOUS!!!
Okay, I have to tell you a mini story. I have slightly hooded eyes and not a lot of lid space, so I'm so thankful I found your dome technique vid. I tried it a couple nights ago for the first time, and I LOVED it. Thank you! My boyfriend (who NEVER really notices my makeup lol) looks at me afterward and commented that it made my eyes "pop". YAY!
This is fantastic! I’m in my 30s now and I’m aging gracefully. But I can feel and see the differences from when I was in my 20s and how I used to do my make up. I’m also on camera a lot on Instagram for work and I really wasn’t quite sure what I needed to change. Until I saw your video. This is fantastic. Thank you for helping me respect the aging process and even embrace it. Warmest regards, Jen Vanella 🌈🦋❤️🎶
Respect for showing what skin really looks like
Great job! I’m 38 and have hooded eyes too. Thank you for these amazing tips. And your mom is beautiful 💕
Your thorough hooded makeup techniques (i.e. soft socket and dome shape) have helped me embrace my eye shape rather than feel guilty about them. Thank you!
Thank you Stephanie for being transparent about aging. It is refreshing to see someone I can actually relate to. I’m 32 about to be 33 in October and these make up tips for aging skin are amazing. ❤️
Thank you so much for this!! It's difficult for me to accept that I'm 42, and honestly I look younger, but when I follow other makeup artists techniques I felt lost, like what was I doing wrong? This is incredibly helpful and supportive to women's aging beautifully! 👏😍
Loved the tip about color correction! I don't do that and I never like the way my under eye concealer looks. You're still teaching me new stuff! Love your guts!! xx
Oh my!! Thank you so much for making truthful videos for OUR age!! We are in our prime and I am so happy to have found your channel to help me know how to look my best in my prime!! P.S. I turn 31 this month.
Thank you so much for your positivity, and much loved beauty tips. I hope all is well with your family.
Love this video and how you show the young and old look step for step. I am 33 and loving my lines on the side of my eyes when I smile. Thank you for this tutorial it's amazing.
Love this! I'm also almost 32 so I definitely feel you when you talk about young muas' work that doesnt look good on skin with more fine lines, more eyebags and more hooded eyes f.e. Great tips! 🙌🏼
This is gold, thank you! I turn 35 in a week and need to definitely change up my makeup routine. Thanks!
Steph, many thanks for this video and the way how you explain it!🙏🤗❤ I just turned 35 and I was realizing that young beauty youtubers techniques doesnt work for me anymore - dark eyeliners, baking under eye area, etc. I do appreciate your video a lot! ❤
That’s such a difference !! It’s like two difference faces. Really helpful tips, you’re like a magician to me!!!! 😍😂
Thanks so much Emma so glad you found it helpful! X
You really are the real deal. Such good ideas and explanations you also somehow radiate kindness. Angel on earth girl
Thank you so much! I just used your tips today and my makeup looks awesome for real. Thanks again!
Aw I love your perspective on aging! I turn 23 this year and I'm already seeing wrinkles lol, but thinking of it as a privilege is a really nice way to consider it
You are still a spring chicken! Xx
I feel you! I turn 23 this year as well and I’m not happy about it at all. In fact, whenever someone mentions it I get super upset!
Right? I'm your age and I see few wrinkles too. 😂
I'm 18 and I already have wrinkles like why is that happening so damn early hahaha
Same
Love it! Very well explained and loved that you used your beautiful mom as a model🤩 Skincare underneath all that makeup is also, as not the most important for a smooth and plump canvas. Also using hourglass lightning powders on top or instead of your matte setting powder, brings back life to your skin. Aspecially under the eyes when you have hollow/sunken under eyes, if you have bags, don’t use any shine on them.
Using cream and liquid products makes a hugeeee difference, does not emphasise wrinkles and texture. Lifting the crease placement bove the ectual crease to create the illusion of non hooded eyes. No shimmer on textured hooded eyes, only matte on crease, shimmer on mobile lid opens up the eye. No eyeliner because this makes the mobile space even smaller. All products; eyeshadow, bronzer and blush are best used upwards just under your eyes to yoursleeps, it lifts the face.
I’m 42 years young but people give me 30 (skincarenerd;). Powder and matte products makes so old! I never used foundation, just the last 3 years that i like a skinlike cc/bb because it looks flawless with eye makeup, blush and lips. I love makeup so much these days that friends and family pay me to do their makeup if they have a party or gala. I did makeup artist classes and after lockdown i am going for the last course and i can make it my job. Never to old to learn right?! I am a psychosocial therapist, skincarenerd, hairdresser, nailartist and makeupartist soon, whoep whoep! I help people inside & outside, how they feel inside reflects on the outside and vice versa. Nothing better than make people feel good about themselfs❣️Lots of love from the Netherlands🌻
I really liked this video it was so helpful to see the side by side comparison!! I always take your advice to heart, I have type 2 rosacea and am over 30 so makeup has gotten tricky lately but watching you is sooo helpful and reassuring. Your videos are the best, your personality is also uplifting and not fake like a lot of others. I appreciate all that you do!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤️ 28 years and starting to see those aging signs in my face - glad I saw this video, because I’m really starting to get into makeup & want to do it well!
Omg thank you for explaining the duo fiber brush. I didn't understand what the difference is until now!!
Cracking! Been waiting for you to do a couple of videos to help us in the 30s bracket! The fear of age put into women by the world then ourselves can be overwhelming, your looks change a bit but you have new experiences, and you start to care less about what people think about you as a person, and I’m not talking about looks really. As you move through life it’s about realising you are the only person who can be responsibly for your happiness and other people are lovely to have on the trip but you deserve to be happy and it’s not selfish to make that a priority or promise to yourselves. If you are content then you help make others feel the same. Great vid! Looking forward to a master class on foreheads that are a little line covered!
I know that like half of these tips, my mom has been doing for decades. She always preferred a more rounded contour, especially since we already naturally have more angular faces, so it’s something I do too, though I’m not even 25. And the issues with hooded eyes are so freakin real 😅. I tend to pull my eyebrows up to make my eyes look less hooded, but I’d i relax, my hood covers almost the entirety of my lid. Same with my mom. She learned a looong time ago that she had to do some very different things, and thankfully I’ve learned from her. I’m already developing fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead. So even I’m careful to not exaggerate them. My mom has always been very talented with makeup, and I grew up learning a variety of techniques from her, but I didn’t get such a well stated explanation for why she does as such. and so it’s really fascinating to hear these techniques actually explained by you. I especially like you explained the contour trick. I’ve tried to do a sharp contour, but it just made my face too weird. So hearing the why behind the shapes was great!
💎💎💎
I’m 51 and have been following you for years (started when you lived in Oz and found you because of your earlier hooded eye tuts!). This is no doubt one of your best - it’s great to find out some new tricks 🤗 thanks ! Stay safe 💜
Glad to see you back. I've missed this Stephanie so much, you seem like you're in a way more positive vibe than a year ago. ❤
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. So many of the others techniques have created sheer frustration at the horrid results even when they were copied exactly. There are times I've wondered if I was really just that bad at applying makeup. After watching this, a lot of my struggles make total sense!
I love you Steph. Thank you for being so transparent! ♥️♥️♥️
Love this! Changing up my regimen helped me to feel beautiful for the first time since my double mastectomy. Keep letting your light shine!
Your Mum is lovely! Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant video!!! Those tips have got many so many compliments over the past few days. Who'd have thought that those small changes to my makeup would make such a difference! Thank you my lovely x
Master class. Thank you, I’ve definitely been doing some of the do nots.
You are a huge insiration for a newbie like me. Thank you for all your tutorials about hodded eyes. It really helps.
This is so helpful for fine lines and hooded eyes, being 21 and all other youtubers using really cakey tutorial that never suit me this is so helpful and I can't wait to try the new tips!
WOW. Hands down one of the best tutorials for more mature skin. Thanks so much for doing a wrong and right side. Extremely helpful. Can’t thank you enough.
THANK YOU Stephanie ❤️. I have been struggling for the past year or so...all of my tried and true techniques have been failing me!! I am a makeup lover and was about to give up💔...thank you for the explanation and fix for each of my issues!! You are beautiful and have helped me feel beautiful through the past few years💕
I just have to comment to say how freaking beautiful your mum is omg she is stunning, both with and without makeup ❤️
I'm 32 this year as well and I have had these same issues. I recently started to relearn how to do my makeup and I've been watching videos on youtube to learn from others. These techniques really do make a difference for women of 30. I've watched a few of your videos and it has really helped me. Thank you!
I just found your channel and WOW, this is so helpful! Thank you so much! I think that's the best video of this kind I have seen so far! Thank you!
Love this video!!! Been needing an update to my make-up. I’ve started applying things a lot differently and naturally was working towards lighter foundations! Would love more videos like this!!! I was also wondering if you could try to look in to and include non-toxic brands?? I know it’s hard and don’t expect you to replace all of your make-up but I love that your cruelty free and vegan! I’m chronically ill with a multitude of problems and I can only use non-toxic make-up but there is so much out there and it’s quite confusing honestly!
Beautiful job! Thanks for explaining things!
Beautiful! So happy to find a MUA in their 30's! Subscribed!
Great advice! I used to live for a sharp cat eyeliner but since I started using your Smokey eyeshadow liner technique I look so much more naturally gorgeous
You literally make my day..I have sat and worried about my fine lines and wrinkles (I'm 36) and you make it so real and I love it. You make me feel better about my aging also, my skin isn't going to be the same as a 25 YRO. I noticed my skin changed after about 32. Your amazing and I can't thank you enough for your channel and what you do 💚
Your mom is so so beautiful! Sending lots of love to both of you ♥️
i would like to thank you endlessly for getting good close ups. i have always thought my makeup wasnt setting right because i could "see" it, and see some texture. but after watching this i am happy to report that my makeup fears are over! thank you thank you thank you.
So, so helpful, thank you! My makeup.. especially the eyeliner, was worn exactly like the 'wrong' side from my teens to my twenties, when it looked great! Now I notice it just isn't working for me any more and looks so harsh in photos. Will definitely start using these tips and invest in some smaller brushes! Can't wait for more tips or tricks, subbing now! 🙏❤️
Thank you for doing these video's, I'm 41 and have had problems with the way my skin looks, so I appreciate you addressing these issues😊
Finally some decent make up tips for those pushing 40! Great make up tips and I’ve realised I’ve had to change my make up as I e gotten older. I still like to look as young and natural as I can. Refreshing to see practical and useful make up tips. Thank you xxx
WOWWWW! Stephanie!!! what an amazing tutorial! you ROCKS!!!
GREAT TIPS!!!!! Aging truly is a privilege denied by many!!! Such a true statement!
I find myself watching you a good bit lately, and I'm so thankful for your tutorials!
I'm 28 and these tips are so incredibly helpful for me! The last year or so, what I used to do with makeup hasn't been working for me anymore and I haven't had a clue what to do to remedy that - so THANK YOU!
Thank you I'm so glad to find someone over 30 and your just amazing!!
I am not over 30, but I did learn from this video. I had been self conscious about my skin texture and acne and this video really helped. And thanks for the hooded eyes tips. :)
Great video!! Sometimes when people just tell you don't do this or that its hard to picture it but you've clearly shown us! Thank you
Thank you so much for this. I appreciate that you showed the close ups.
Great video! I love your content because you always seem so honest and relatable. Can you recommend or do a video on skincare products to help dehydrated textured skin? Do you still use the Lush Full of Grace facial oil? I'm struggling to find a moisturiser that's natural, doesn't make me oily and actually improves dry patches!
I wish I had found this sooner! I’ve been using quarantine time to play around with makeup since no one will see me anyway and I was dead set on finding a base that wouldn’t make me look so much older (I’m 35). I finally discovered that the much lighter/thinner foundations work great and feel so much better, too. It also helped to find a powder that suited me perfectly (to the point that the first day I wore it, my husband asked if I did something different with my makeup because my skin looked different - in a good way).
GREAT VIDEO !! thanks for explaining the reasoning behind these things :)
THIS. IS. GENIUS. Thank you SO MUCH, Stephanie!
THANK YOU!! Your tutorials are the best!
I soooo needed this video!!!
🎊Thank You🎊 for updating us over 30's!!!
I found as I’ve gotten older (I’m 38) I don’t like heavy foundations, in fact I can’t even deal with them anymore. I just deal with mainly bb creams now, but I am totally still doing that bad eyeliner thing where you put a thick black eyeliner on the top and bottom and I loved the way this girl did the right side of her eyes.
Thank you so much!!! I knew a lot of your techniques from former videos, but I will see this as a start-over and apply everything as you suggest. I am absolutely sure this will make me even prettier ;-) because we all are. Makeup is supposed to enhance your natural look, not completely erase what you naturally look like.
This was actually great! So helpful, seeing the mistakes VS the "correct" techniques. Tysm!! ❤️
Such a good video, I was glued to the screen. Thank you for wonderful tips and explanation.
I kinda struggle with my eyes area. I'm 36 yo in a few months and I've struggled my entire life with hollow undereyes and hooded eyelids, even as a teenager, and now I'm struggling with fine lines. Concealer don't do much bc I don't have colored dark circles, just those inner corner hollows and powder accentuate my lines. If I don't wear powder it helps a lot, and I also love creamy foundation or CC cream instead of full matte coverage. I want to stop to use powder but the nice velvet effect on my skin is great. I try to not use a lot or to use primer + setting spray instead, it helps. When I'm just using a skin tint and a good moisturizer I look 28. Eyeshadow also accentuates my lines so I just stick to mascara
Thank you so much for videos like this!!! I feel like I’m pretty good at doing my makeup (I’ve been watching you for quite a while now 😉), but I’m so appreciative for this video! Can’t wait to try out all your tips and tricks, especially when your face + eyes brush set comes!!!
Yay!! I hope this one helps! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for share your makeup tips! 💕 Blessings 🙏🏻
I rarely watch makeup videos but I'm so glad I stumbled on this, i also turned 32 this year and can see some signs of aging. Nothing too bad but I noticed I really need to switch up my makeup routine. This is so helpful!
I'm 23, but I found this incredibly useful for my hooded eyes.
