Yeah. I hate the fact that the Superman movies did that. All the other composers they brought on to play John William's theme all sounded off. It was nice to hear William's theme in the Richard Donner Cut though.

This theme is amazing, the perfect blend of orchestra, opera, industrial and spaghetti western. It also fits with the theme of the movies themself, as Murphy was always a gun-twirling robot cowboy fighting outlaws. It almost sounds like classical music, and adds just that little extra touch of epicness to the movie. The original theme is great, but this one far exceeds it in my opinion; it just sounds like a proper superhero theme.

I guess I'm one of the few people out there that likes this theme over the original theme from RoboCop 1. The original definitely defined the RoboCop character, but the RC2 theme has always had a special place in my heart.

You have to admire Basil Poledouris. Dude brought his Conan the Barbarian A-Game to what he could have treated like just a silly movie about a robot cop, but instead he made that movie feel huge with his arrangements.

The whole piece is nearly identical to his ST4 score, all the notes, the rhythm and patterns, just a re-recording of the ST4 music. Kind of incredible people in this production just let Rosenman get away with it.
The original theme and movie, is very amazing and very good. Number 2 also is very good, maybe not as well as the original both movie and sound wise, but it's still great. As for the third I have no comment.

Robocop 2 gets too much hate I absolutely love it it’s the only sequel to be worthy from the original but I wish the commentary and ocp themselves could have been handled better but for what it is it has great acting great action great effects and a score that slaps hard
It was fun special effects showcase, and had some hilariously meta social commentary on the idea of sequels/successors in general, as was par for satire. Every "Robocop 2" cyborg we saw in the movie was making fun of the film itself: - The focus group testing of potential "Robocop 2" cyborgs that failed repeatedly, or were plain goofy - The final actual "Robocop 2"/Cain had to be bigger, badder and more flashy than Robocop/Murphy, but ultimately was beaten by the original It makes me wonder if Robocop 3 was intentionally bad, with this in mind.
I just came here from watching the movie on Hulu. It's still up, but its not going to be available for long. Despite that, yeah, I loved the film, and I recommend watching it as soon as possible if you haven't already! This theme is really great, but its not as long as the end credits rendition.

I love RoboCop 2, for me one of the best. The place, the guns, cars, black humor, Cain, everything in that movie was awsome for me.
