I've got four of these pens and I'm from the Philippines. I swear, I was totally humbled to find out that a volcano an hour and a half from where I life contributed to the design of this pen. Nathan Tardif, you are my hero. I swear, you should hike up Pinatubo one of these days, the view of the lake in the crater is truly breathtaking. One of these days, I'll go back up there and bring one of these pens, just to get a sense of how far it's ashes travelled.
Thanks Nathan!
Richie.
Excellent. Without a doubt one of my favorite videos on the channel. Loved its narrative and nostalgic qualities. Now, I’m going to have to buy one.
Thank you sir, for sharing your experiences. I've got a Noodler's Ivory Darkness right here that I'm about to ink up. Found your video as I did my research.
What a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing it, Nathan.
@021311 Yeah, I believe the colours during this run have changed since previous stock. The colours that are on sale now are very nice though, so if you're still interested in the flex pens go ahead and get them before everyone else gobbles them up! They have sold quick though. On isellpens, the Lapis Inferno colour sold out through preorders alone.
Is ivory darkness also a reference to Conrad's Heart of Darkness? because that's what I initially thought
Fascinating story! It seems that whales have had quite the influence on you, as reflected in your naming conventions. (what with another model being called the "Ahab") I'm curious though, why did you name this pen model "Konrad"? I've heard it suggested that it has to do with German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer; I'm curious why him?
Pardon me, but Leviathan, rather Goliath. Love all your videos.
I love hearing the stories behind you ink names and pens. You could write a book, you definitely have the gift of story telling! I am curious do your inks "Heart of Darkness, Year of the Golden Pig and Devil Red have religious connotation? Thanks for making these videos!
