Watch the Music Clip "Spring 1" from the Album "Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons".
British composer Max Richter, who wrote the award-winning music to Ari Folman's movie "Waltz with Bashir", takes Antonio Vivaldi's masterpiece "The Four Seasons" for Recomposed into the present and makes it accessible in new ways to a new audience. At the same time, he treats the original version and its history with respect, which means that also experienced listeners of classical music can enjoy "Vivaldi Recomposed".
Joining Max Richter in this exceptional project is Daniel Hope, the British violinist. He is both a notable champion of contemporary music and an exponent of the standard classical repertoire. That makes him the ideal soloist for Richter's piece.

Is this what being in love feels like?
Yes, absolutely
ABSOLUTELY !!!!!!
Absolutely like this
I sure hope so!
Tbh? Yes. At least to me.
The higher pitched instruments sound like the energetic new life of spring, while the lower pitched instruments sound like old winter, dying away after living through a whole year.
ZombieShot078 the old giving way for the new
You really describe this perfect!
@@watmaniser YES INDEED
Omg exactly... the lower pitched instruments are the snow slowly melting away
this will be great for my music project
this actually makes me cry
You were not the first and shall not be the last, my friend.
Blows me away every time I hear it.
This with earphones turned up to the max is just mind boggling
Yes!!! I cannot listen to it without wanting to cry and at the same time jump for joy. It is so beautiful.
You are not alone - tears of joy - it's just so beautiful
Frankly, I think this is the kind of thing that Classical music needs: creative reimagining.
Not really
No, this is just post-modern music and classical music doesn't need this.
@@LouisGuillotYT do you think this max richter interpretation is ok?
Did you mean appropriation? Go for it. You've got to master it first.
Anyone can be as creative as they like, but classical music certainly has its own irreplaceable position. No one can reinvent Vivaldi Four Seasons!
I had this play by a string quartet as my wife walked down the aisle two days ago. Couldn't have picked a better piece of music. Captured the best moment of my life perfectly.
Congratulations🌼
Congratulations, it must be beautiful!
Congratulazioni
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Congrats! Now you have me wanting to hear a string quartet arrangement of this piece.
How can a piece of music be so joyous and uplifting but yet so heart achingly crushing and sorrowful at the same time? It moves me to tears of both happiness and sadness. A masterpiece.
Exactly the same. I never cry, but every time I put this on tears start streaming, its a feeling of heartbreak, of loss and sorrow, but overwhelming joy and optimism at the same time.
Only this piece can do this
Couldn’t have put it more perfectly
I love what you have written. You have expressed exactly how I feel while listening to this piece. Thank you.
A sense of rebirth.. something im currently going through. Both exciting but painful
Because this music energy comes from the highest level, the soul.
This is what feeling in love sounds like
THIS IS WHY IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE LAST DANCE IN "BRIDGERTON"
It fills me with this deep sense of joy so strong and profound it's like feeling nostalgia for the present moment, for dozens of cherished memories and fleeting feelings all at once. This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard
"Like feeling nostalgia for the present moment." Perfect.
dozens of memories indeed, the photo reel of ones life
isn't it just
I wish I could have put it like that, you've totally hit the nail on the head.
What you wrote is exactly what I felt and continue to feel each time I listen to this song. It's absolutely amazing.
My wife walked down the aisle to this amazing masterpeice at our wedding. Perfectly represented all the hardships we experienced through life to get to this one moment. Thank you max!
Same! I love this song and the association of my beautiful wife walking down the aisle bursting with emotions.
Wonderful.
Do you have a video of it ?
I want to see and feel this live. I want to sit in a room and listen to this played. What an incredible piece of music.
May our life be filled with moments of us feeling the live music
Spring 1 was perhaps the most amazing piece of music ever heard by the human ear.
i wouldnt say that, but max ritcher did add a godly touch to vivaldi
Human touch, not godly touch.
Isn't all music a work of god?
None of it is. Human persons create music.
Agree !!
The romantic in me is really just imagining a beautiful wedding with flower petals being thrown when I listen to this
It's so incredible that any one person could create something so heartwarmingly beautiful and moving as this.
Not anyone could come up with this. Only a gifted individual.
It wasn't one person by a long shot. Vivaldi wrote the original which Richter recomposed. And both of them relied on an orchestra full of supremely talented musicians to bring it to life.
@@nicholasjones5995 Do you derive some personal self-worth from making very obvious "Gotcha!" posts on half a decade old CZcams comments or something?
It's not a gotcha. It's a furthering of the conversation. And these comments will be here for a lot longer than half a decade.
Take it easy bud.
@@nicholasjones5995 of course max richter is brilliant but the way this has sprung together from many beating pulses is a beautiful thing
Heard this in both Bridgerton and The Crown, had to look it up because it's so magical
Same
How the heck does this piece made a tough grown man cry in joy?
My Brilliant Friend
that's why it seemed so familiar to me!
And Chef’s Table on Netflix. That series has been using Max Richter’s arrangement of Vivaldi before My Brilliant Friend. Love that both use it though because it fits them both perfectly. :)
Storia del nuovo cognome
L’amica geniale 🥰🥰
This is the best recomposition to ever exist in the history of music. I really hope Max knows what this does to the human soul just by listening to it. EVERY human soul. I hope he is just so dang proud and knows how deep he has touched so many people and will continue to. And Daniel as well, he was chosen as the soloist for a reason. He read our minds of what we needed to hear before he even picked up that violin. Beautiful is an understatement.
why does this make me feel like crying? It’s like there’s this unknown pain in my heart that I can’t explain and all I can do is cry
We can cry because we are so happy, not just because we are sad.
In February 2016 I got married at night in a beautiful old Manor house hotel in Wales to this song - perfect
This song brings tears to my eyes
Me too!
@@RealNicole me too !!
Tears of joy for me.
My heart wants to burst and fly...amazing
So chaotic, yet so serene and beautiful. Goosebumps.
Exactly
Oh my gosh. I believe this is the most beautiful song to exist.
Thank you The Crown for bringing me here !
same!
same!
Me too🤗
which scene was this ? please answer me i wnt to rewatch the scene again
farhan rafi Princess Margaret and Tony on his motor bike
THIS symbolizes a perfect life to me: Sudden beginning, sudden end. and inbetween pure joy. - beautiful.
This went off the Richter scale.
Fantastic!
I see what you did there
Richter scale is open at the top. - So: Yes. :)
Fucking legend !!!
My daughter who is all of 11 years old loves Classical Music. I told her to listen to this and she immediately knew who it was.. However , the original composed is her favorite.
Thank you for giving humanity this gem
We need a long version of this
I think the idea that Vivaldi had was that "spring" is fleeting...
too short 😿
How about a 9 minutes and 50 seconds version? czcams.com/video/oXXm0ppMvT0/video.html
Supposed to be played into summer....Vivaldi one of the best ever...four seasons cherished by many for long time...this one is special....
That is beautiful, Vivaldi would be proud of you.
Happy to say we had this beautiful piece of music playing as my wife walked down the isle when we got married in March of this year, couldn’t of wished for a more spectacular sound
Isn’t it amazing what humans are capable of. Isn’t it amazing how beautiful life is. As fellow human beings I want to tell you that I love you all.❤️
It’s their passion for me... and the sudden stop at the end
This makes me wanna cry and dance in joy at the same time.
When I hear this masterpiece being played, I begin to cry. It's just amazing!
You should hear the original!
Sitting in my backyard, smoking a pipe, looking out over the front range of the Rocky Mountains and listening to a faraway thunderstorm while this masterpiece is playing in my air pods. Makes me think about the goodness of God.
That's beautiful
Uplifting💟🔥👍🙏
@@SirRob05 Amen to that!
you're a cool man
Agreed
"The foue seasons" is a precious masterpiece ever, but Ritcher made a spetacular version. Impossible not to remember the best and most wonderful sequence of "Bridgerton"
I was with my telescope viewing the moon while listening to this, I cried. I cried so much. I felt. This song is so much to me, I can't swallow everything, I'm trying to decifrate all the emotions it transmits. Oh god, I cried.
It touches my soul. Really deeply. So profound I feel so privileged to have listened to this.
i want this at my wedding, I'm really considering this for when i walk down the isle. I know i still have ages to go before i get married but just imagine how beautiful this would be as you walk down in your dress and your husband turns around and sees you for the first time and time slows down and you lock eyes and it only feels like its the two of you in the room . And all the amazing memories you have together are playing in your head and you finally get to the alter and you are just completly and utterly consumed by love. ugh if only
Me toooooo , I would like this to also be my engagement song to play in the background of the proposal I would loose it. Let’s keep this out secret don’t want other future brides playing it out
Just awesome. I hope when it happens, it's your best day ever a wonderful thought
This thought just made me cry.
What a beautiful picture... thank you!
Same here
I listen to this song every morning to start my day. I have to listen to it about 5 times in a row. I cant get enough. I do wish it was longer, its soo good.
I think I’m going to start doing that too
The soundtrack to falling in Love ❤️.
This recomposed Spring feels like the winter season has ended, and a new season has come. A hope that makes you feel alive again. What an incredibly pleasing recreated piece.
Lilaaa! Lenuuu!
This song gives my heart and soul so much joy that I don't want to listen to anything that doesn't do the same
I don't know if any other piece of music could capture the essence of spring so well. Unreal.
This is just magical
I'm not an expert in music so what I'm going to say is just guessing: listening to this soundtrack I have the impression that everyone is disconnected from each other and playing each one in their own rhythm (disharmony), but still there is an absolute musical compression and soon ... harmony. It's like the universe.
Who's here after crown season 2 Tony and Margaret?
I DID NOT EVEN NOTICE THIS PIECE IN THE CROWN, I NOTICED IT IN BRIDGERTON
@@virgoqueen8950 OMG you took the words out of my mouth
Episode 7. When they go off on the motorcycle.
i noticed it in the crown but it reminded me of bridgerton and i was about to rewatch the show to find this song. but i found it while searching for the soundtrack of the episode
Me ! :) but I also remember it from Bridgerton :)
The most beautiful music I have ever heard! It makes me feel love, happiness and brings me to tears all at the same time! You feel this in your heart and soul! Vivaldi would be moved!!
I was brought here by the trailer for a brilliant friend, and I just have to say Max Richter is a genius. I’ve listened to his soundtrack for Arrival, and I’m a big fan. Him and Hans Zimmer are top notch.
❤️
I’m more of a hip hop kinda guy but this... it’s really one of the most beautiful sound I heard. Max Richter elevated the Vivaldi song to a whole LEVEL. I can feel the waves of emotions and goosebumps going through my whole body.
I have been listening to this piece for 6 years now and its still excites me every time.
I love this song, one side seems disordered while the other seems calm, and both complement each other in a beautiful symphony
I don’t like classical music at all but this piece of music gives me chills and makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time
I’m seeing an aerial view of a snowy plain. The sky is dim and grey. The clouds part and glorious sunlight emerges. The snow starts to melt away. A stream thaws and starts to babble, bringing the essence of life with it as it flows. A bird lands on the branch of a nearby tree and begins to sing. As the cold of Winter recedes, I start to see blades of grass and flowers push through the melting snow, alive and as if taking a first breath. Trees become vibrant and verdant again, their foliage returning in all its beauty.
The Crown brought me here. If it wasn’t love I felt, then what was it? 😭✨🫶🏼🤍 I love this piece!
I just heard this piece in the movie The Current War! Wow!! It made me cry!
We endure, we dream, we hope, we hurt, we grieve, we pick ourselves up, we love and we experience.
Life is wonder.
This music sums it up far better than any words.
Transporting so many emotions, tears in my eyes and longing in my heart
Oh damn! He riffed on Vivaldi. Absolutely amazing! Only a man in love with his music can attempt this successfully like this. Peter Gregson recomposed Bach. I feel so fortunate to be alive during a time of such awesome creativity.
Maybe one day these guys will be able to write their own stuff.
there is a certain beauty to this , as you watching something transform into something brand new . Leave the old. Become Beautiful. God bless you Max Richter
Why we're here:
Current War
Bridgerton
The Crown
😊 But we can all agree that this masterpiece has been used in some of the most iconic scenes in recent cinema.
My Brilliant Friend too!!!!
Bridgerton season 1 brought me here 😭 I’m obsessed
I could never get tired of this song.
This song to me is like realizing who I truly am and accepting myself for who I am. Then it’s like falling in love with my one true love. And that everything will be okay.
That’s what this song feels like.
❤️
it's giving me spring, rebirth, regeneration, a win from a long lost, a new beginning, coming out of a hole/ out of a depression/healing from a trauma, pure bliss!
this is going to be my wedding entrance in a month, i'm already sobbing
All my life I believed that a masterpiece should be never touched, a master piece is like the holy bible can be ruined for a single word added or a word taken, I must say how wrong I was. Vivaldi is still one of my favorite but this is a masterpiece in it's own way.
I'm still in awe of this
Every time I hear this I cry. It's beautiful
The single most beautiful piece of music created in my lifetime, an absolute triumph of joy, sadness ...beyond words, vivaldi himself would be proud of this reworking of his greatest piece of work
Here in 2024 and Woaw! I’m innnn loveeee with this! I barely listen to classical music or anything of that genre but this truly touches my soul and at the same time makes me want to dance outside on a warm rainy day😩❤️🩹thank you for this masterpiece! I know now what EXACTLY my future wedding song will be!
This makes me recall all the positive things out there and how precious and beautiful life could be.
This is music at its finest, music that passed the test of time, music that has alluded similar thoughts to generations of human beings. Its only fitting that it has been remastered by a legend of our own time. Thanks Max.
This brilliant piece of music was used in the series, My Brilliant Friend, and it made the story so come to life with this gorgeous music. Thank you so much Max Richter for what you have done and the smiles, love, and tears of joy you brought to Elena and Lila and to millions of people. A great gift you have given us and we are forever grateful.
Tbh, I struggle with gods existence but in a way this was just so beautiful that it is almost enough.
this reminds me of standing in the morning sun and an overwhelming sense of pride
this is so amazing, I'm from Brazil and without a doubt this is a universal language
Goosebumps. Tragic yet optimistic.
So beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes.
❤ FOREVER , Benito Edoardo Cinosi from Chieti , Abruzzo , Italia .
Kann irgendetwas - egal was - besser und schöner auf einander abgestimmt sein als dieses Meisterwerk? Wie eine Schweizer-Uhr greift alles perfekt ineinander. Absolut 100 prozentig zu unrecht underrated.
Life in a song 💛 ...gives me chills.
Beautiful song, over the past few days I've become infatuated with it. It is calming yet rises a sense of joy and excitement. I imagine a journey amongst friends or lovers. It gives me that butterfly fluttery feeling it's almost indescribable.
Played with the grace of a thousand gazelles, this is insane how am I now hearing this ?? I feel like I wanna go for a run til my lungs hurt even then I feel I can try something new today idk man this frequency id vibrating high sending love and light to everyone
It’s a meadow with flowers of every imaginable hue that spreads as far as I can see, with a babbling brook on one side, and a line of verdant trees on the other, brimming with birds who flit about and sing. There’s a soft, warm breeze coursing throughout the area, and the occasional gust sends flower petals flying up like little kites. The smell is that of fresh earth, grass, and more flowers than I can imagine.
This is one of the most beautiful thing I heard in my entire life
This is just AMAZING…even Vivaldi would agree!
If this isn't love, nothing is.
This my dear friends, is called music.
When music and art combine, the symphony of beauty merged together never ceases to amaze the senses. Simply astounding.
It’s almost as if each descending progression gives hope to each ascending one… all the way through to the last profound note.
Amazingly enough I discovered this music watching the TV series Blue Bloods. It was played in the concluding episode of season 9 for the wedding of Jamie and Eddie. I just had to find the entire piece after that episode was over. Luckily I have Shazam on my cell phone which was able to identify it while I replayed the seen on my TV a couple times. There are few pieces of music that I've experienced that combine beauty, joy, and sadness all at the same time. Marvelous!
this shit is pure joy
Indeed .
This song is so beautiful and watching them play their instruments and feeing the music has me crying. It’s just SO gorgeous.
This kind of masterpiece does something to the soul
The series "My Brilliant Friend" got me looking up Max Richter. He composes some very beautiful music.
This is the definition of musical catharsis
This music just makes me wanna sway in exultation. One of the rare cases of the recreation being better than the original.
Habe eine unvergleichliche Gänsehaut und Tränen in den Augen!!!
"Behold, I make all things new." ❤
I love how Max just bathes in the bliss of it..
