    I was on a Frontier flight once when a goose comes strutting up the isle and takes the seat next to me. People got quite agitated. One Karen even burst into tears, demanding a different seat well away from it. I have to say the goose behaved a lot better than most people on the flight. He just sat there quietly eating a bag of croutons while looking out the window. Much better than the family seated behind us that loudly argued the entire flight.
    Nobody knew how the goose had gotten on the plane or where it got the croutons. All I got was a plastic bag containing 5 peanut halves.
    The arguing behind us had become a violent fistfight by now. The attendants were too scared to intervene but the goose had had enough. It calmly slid out of its seat and went to confront them. In a split second the arguing turned into cries for help as the goose bit them repeatedly, relentlessly, and with extreme prejudice for several minutes until it had them on the floor, too scared to move. Again, the attendants wanted no part of this lawsuit waiting to happen.
    When we landed police stormed in but the goose was nowhere to be found. Luckily for them they didn't look in my carry on duffle bag. He would've bitten the police beyond recognition.

    We’ve never had a big fatal air accident in Australia 🤞🏻🤞🏻 but about 5 minutes out of Tullamarine (MELB Airport) I was on a flight to Perth when the engine on the right, which I was sitting behind, started spitting flames. I have never been so utterly terrified. We turned back, landed safe, got put in a hotel room, where I raided the bar and drank beer on the floor of the shower. An experience I’ll never forget. I continue to have panic attacks on taking off and landing to this day.

      @@CyberRani here's another fact Rani, Look at the area just above the windows in the emergency exit area. you will either see a small red triangle just above the emergency exit door or on the floor. don't worry all those red marks do is tell the flight crew where the very center of gravity is. with an empty plane you could actually hook on the area and lift the plane balanced evenly with a single cable. the main use is for the flight crew to seat the passengers to "balance" the cargo and this help the captain, flight engineer and copilot to save the crew and ensure the safe level operation of the plane. It's not that easy to fly and land the plane and pulling to the left or right during level flight will just ruin you day.

  • @reckitboo8792
    @reckitboo8792 Před rokem +9

    for the weird contrails left by an unknown plane, it reminds me of when my grandpa was on a Cessna (a small single engine propeller driven plane) and his pilot needed a nap, so he told my grandpa how to keep the plane level. the pilot didn't tell my grandpa about crosswinds, so when my grandpa woke the pilot back up, my grandpa told him "wow, is that another plane?" the pilot replied "yeah, but we aren't supposed to be here." and immediately took control of the plane, turned it away from the airliners' flight path, and then explained to my grandpa what happened and why. turns out there was a northern headwind that moved the plane North, into a commercial airliner's flight path, that was off-limits to smaller planes.

Until a stewardess came and asked my dad, who was in the row behind us nearest the window, if he could see any FIRE coming out of the ENGINE! There WAS! Thankfully it wasn't much and went out right after he saw it. We had to land immediately in Chicago. (does it smell bad like that everywhere in Chicago or is it just the airport?) Thankfully, no one was injured and my mom made sure we got a full refund for the flight.

      I've only flown about 4 or 5 times ever, and most of the times, it had been short flights. BUT, when my BFF and I had flown to the UK, it had been at LEAST 8 hours. But, I must say that IF we had ended up having to deal with an engine failure that was on fire, I would have likely spassed out.
      I WOULD TOTALLY love TO GO BACK TO THE UK TO SEE IT ALL AGAIN, BUT, I AM ALL EXCITED ABOUT SEEING BRITAIN AGAIN. I WOULD BE ALL ABOUT SEEING THE GROUNDS OF WINDSOR CASTLE, AS WELL AS THE REALLY OLD ENGLISH OAKS THAT ARE STILL ALIVE AND HAVE BEEN FOR ABOUT 1,000 YEARS. THOSE ANCIENT OAK TREES ARE JUST REALLY SO IMPRESSIVE. SOME OF THEM HAVE TRUNKS THAT ARE 6 FEET OR MORE WIDE ACROSS.

  • @MrFlazz99
    @MrFlazz99 Před rokem +5

    I tend to have automatic confidence that the plane I'm on IS going to be OK, so for instance I just assumed that tremendous turbulence for most of an eastward transatlantic flight was well within normal parameters (I was in the toilet at the back of a 747 when the 'bong' seatbelt warning sounded, after which the plane pitched vertically upwards so sharply that I had to climb row by row to reach my seat). It brings a bit of perspective when the atmosphere can just throw hundreds of tons of aircraft about like that.
    My automatic confidence has also been unshaken when - more than once - I've seen small cracks in one layer of the window next to me (you start to appreciate the construction of the window) and once the plastic inner screen was not only extremely scratched (like somebody had been hitting it repeatedly with a sharp object) but also loose enough to rattle. I just didn't tempt fate by touching it myself, but it was interesting watching ice forming on the inside of the glass as we flew (this was a four-hour bucket airline flight between the Canary Islands and the UK) and considering that the glass a few inches the other side of this loose piece of plastic was being chilled to minus 50.

    It's a scary one with the post pandemic aviation upkeep being behind schedule. I totally agree with the mastery of all that is required to maintain airplane safety, but this also requires personnel that are in some cases under pressure from the swings in their personal lives due to said event. I wouldn't get on an commuter jet in most circumstances before, but now....hell no! And that's not to detract from the professionalism and admiration I have for the aviation industry and the pilots, atc and mechanics. It's just disgusting how much covid paranoia has been so negative to not only the global travel industry, but the global economy as well.

    • @TruthArrows
      @TruthArrows Před rokem

      I agree w/ OP. The one plane flying to Hawaii had a flight path that was mostly all ocean. If it's engine fell apart and caught on fire halfway through the flight it would be very frightening, if that plane and that pilot can hobble along on one of the two engines or not. It's not meant to fly that way or that far, it certainly isn't just business as usual with one engine out of two.
      If that commenter who was like "no big deal, planes can fly without both engines" still had that mind set while actually in that situation over the middle of the ocean... then all I can say is "ignorance is bliss" - because they have no idea about how effed things are.

    When I was young,I was traveling on plane to Saint Thomas, and saw dinosaurs 🦕 in the clouds moving and roaring, even though I was in the plane. At first I thought I dreamed the whole thing, then saw videos of creates and other weird stuff in the clouds ☁️ like in a movie projector. What meant by saw Dinosaurs in the clouds, the clouds was like movie in the cloud itself. I think Clouds can somehow make a dimensional mirror that our eyes can see through to another dimension. It would explain Giant Monsters and other mythical monsters appear in our history, then disappearing into our history.

    10:40 Or the airplane is long gone. I had countless times seen airplanes producing contrails for a while, then stopping to produce them and slink away. Typically because the airplane reached its operating speed and the pilots reduced the engines to idle. The airplane can then slink away, leaving puzzling and mysterious contrails behind.

  • @mucxlx
    @mucxlx Před rokem +6

    You should distinguish between contrails and chemtrails. Chemtrails are actively sprayed by military tankers and so they could start or end suddenly. They also stay for a long time up there and form cloud like structures, more like a haze. Contrails usually dissipate at the same rate the airplane is flying and only in the rarest circumstances last like one minute, usually way shorter. Just check a online flight radar. Where i live i see every plane on it that has a contrail. And planes who spray chemtrails are not listed. I believe thats because its military planes.

    engine a cover, which is what was lost, the flame seen on the thrust reverse is likely to be oil burning off, the pilots have a lever in front of the throttles that stop any fuel from the wing going anywhere near a faulty engine, the Fan is being windmilled around, as would a prop,
    Must be frightening for a lot of passengers though, they should all know by now a plane can fly on a single engine, there are so many rule's for passenger safety
