Had bed bugs once from my neighbors who were absolute garbage trash but not in a good way at all. I freaked out hard. Luckily I had a friend who's family had an extermination company. Called him to come help.
He told me the following
what they would do could work, but will cost an arm and a leg and might not work and would still take time. He said, get the over the counter spray for the sides of the bed and use diatomaceous earth all over the house
just dust the powder everywhere, all the cracks and crevices. The bugs will stop bothering you that night and be gone without a trace within a week to a month depending on the infestation. Even if it takes a month, they wont be bothering you during that time as they will be too busy drying out and dying
They have exoskeletons to regulate their bodys water content, the diatomaceous earth cuts their exoskeleton which dries them out killing them. This gets around all of their resistances to pesticides
Im only saying all this cuz I imagine many of your listeners will have this problem and could use this advice
Diatomaceous earth is harmless unless directly inhaled, so wear a mask while applying and let the dust settle. mop up and vacuum the dust after a month
pass on the info, too many people make these things out to be invincible, you just have to know how to beat em. Exterminators all know this, but theres no money in $20 bags of a lifetime supply of diatomaceous earth from home depot or lowes or a health food store if you want it to be food grade. *people actually drink and eat diatomaceous earth
