I gotta be honest this is probably the second best outcome for us the first obviously winning the chip but I’d rather lose a blow out game then lose a close game knowing we were a possession or two from winning. I’m hopeful that this huge blow to the team will make them fight harder especially at home and play their best game of the season! ☘️
This game was embarrassing. This is the 3rd biggest blowout loss in nba finals history. They better win Monday.
I really don’t take that to mean much … todays nba is so different that nearly everything these guys do is the “1st time in NBA history”
the Celtics had the best offensive rating ever in NBA history ... in a 64-win season. compare this to the 2015-16 Warriors, with their 73-9 season: not even in the top 30. the game keeps changing....

The coach gave this away either that or he is an idiot 2nd quarter they started blowing the game open in the paint and the whole time he has porzingas ready to go sitting there dumbest shit I've ever seen I'm not a Boston fan but I'm yelling at my TV in the second and third quarter like WTF!!! If I was KP I would have been begging to go in and close it out and he didn't even try I think there's league manipulation all through these playoffs games 1 and 2 of the wolves- nuggets was fixed by the refs maybe just to make it interesting but the best team didn't come out of the west now they are trying to close a new TV deal and a sweep in the finals is no bueno I think KPs injury was exaggerated wink wink and someone leaned on Joe if that's not what happened last night then the guy is just an idiot
scott foster the series extender ref made sense. nba didn't want a sweep after that boring finals last year. so they didn't even try. seen fouls in the 1st that weren't called.

Celtics couldn’t get anything going. Not 3’s, not mid range, not high percentage shots at the basket. Stack on top no foul calls = this blowout. Refs was a small part of this loss for Celtics.

tough night. but let's be real, the Mavs just flamed for one game, while the Cs had one of them infamous (but rarer) crash 'n' burn nights. the Heat had one, the Cavs did the same, but, imho, the Pacers are still the toughest team the Celtics have faced all playoffs. this ends Monday.

I have the utmost faith in our team to get the job done... But I'd be lying if I said that, after the past few years, I wasn't just a slight bit nervous. We almost came back from 0-3 last year, I really don't want to be on the wrong side of history on this one. That being said, I'd put money on banner 18 Monday night.

they certainly managed calls in the 1st quarter, but that falls under home team favoritism. it felt like the Cs were never quite right all night.
I hate to say it but the Boston coach might have been gotten too and I think they all knew it the second quarter the Mavs are blowing the game open AT THE RIM and Joe has KP ready to go doesn't put him in I'm not even a Boston fan and I'm yelling at my TV WTF are you thinking put KP in and end this thing but the show must go on this season was about a TV contract and the buisness had to much influence over the games look at games 1 and 2 of the wolves nuggets series then watch game 7 which is when they realized they fucked up refs swallowed their whistles for the wolves in the first 2 games that was enough to make it interesting but when Denver ran out of gas in game 7 the calls started going their way the best team in the west didn't make the finals that's obvious from how Boston is running them out so KP is "injured" wink wink but he feels good wants to play but a sweep is no bueno so he never gets in and Dallas go nuts at the rim hmmmmm

Ratings are a huge contributor because I hear people saying “This finals is boring” “not fun to watch” Mavs got lucky KP isn't out there.
Celtics didn’t show up. They played with no drive, no confidence, and were stuck on 25 points for a long time. They probably listened to the comparisons made with some of the dominant teams in the past Finals. They do not yet belong in that group. Celtics still need to show their hunger for the chip and play that way, They will play better on Monday.

This was only the second game all year I shut off in the first half (the other was that similar atrocity of a game in Milwaukee, down by 35 by halftime) You could just sense from their energy that it wasn't clicking tonight.

I thought Mazzulla should've put bench in earlier with 2 starters and run, I didn't even know Kornet was able to play or even Queta. I figured this was going to game 5 but tonight the t.o. they played sloppy. Everything seems forced, play better Monday finish it at home court.
We will get game 5. Joe just needs to watch the tape and make adjustments. Need to start with more energy, dictate the pace and the tone. No need to panic.
