This is awesome as a 230 avg bowler I love to hear stuff like this CONGRATZ and keep going make your spares the strikes will come the difference between 200 avg and 180 is literally just a few spares a night consistency focus on consistency every shot

same! I stared off as a two hand bowler with some BS balls I got off FB Market place and averaged a 147 in my first league. Found his channel for tips and try to mimic everything he does I now average a 199 after a year of going hard!

After laying off bowling after the age of 21 I decided to get back in a league 199 average first year. Finding this channel and watching the smooth stroke and helpful tips I now have climbed to 224. Now 61, you figure the layoff time. And just shot my first 300 last year. Great channel
@darrentang that's a tough one. Great bowling though. Know you will have a great 2024 PBA season. Match 2 really depicts to us exactly why we ought to prefer more surface and smoother ball reactions over hockey stick motions.
Question. I see that you do not use any tape on your thumb. I used this weekend storm slow on the bottom of my thumb and medium on the top of my thumb and the tip of my thumb after a couple hours went numb from friction. My guess is that I am holding too tight.
But how do I get it so I still have control over the ball so it isn't falling out of my grip and going straight into the gutter ? The ball has been drilled to my finger specs from my local pro shop. I should also mention that I have used the grip tape in the hole. But that feels like 80 grit sandpaper, So I stop using that.

I really hope to meet you one day, Tang. I have a very, very unorthodox way I hold and release the ball. I can't find anyone in my area to help me develop ways to create more revs or change my axis. It's very hard to explain in words, too. Hopefully one day I run into you and we can have a chat!

Runner-up on the first tournament back from injury isn't to be discounted. Agreed, it's never the result anyone wants but a fantastic result considering the circumstances.

Runner up is really good. There are alot of good regional/local bowlers at these tournaments as well as pros. Anyone should be absolutely stoked for a first or second here. Since all the people that made the cut could realistically average 270 out.
