Myanmar women's healthy long hair is associated with religious beliefs and dignity. Besides that, it is the beauty and pride of femininity.
Nowadays, their hair is as precious as gold. Many people sell their hair to support their families and improve their livelihoods. Their hair became hairpieces or wigs sold all over the world.
Although technology can produce fake hair wigs, natural hair is still in demand worldwide.

Nothing wrong!! Don’t scare & dont worried.
AS LONG AS YOU CAB AFFORD REAL HAIR THEN BUY IT.
The company did alots to clean it & make it clear & no harmful to used.
    IM VIETNAMESE- SOUTHEAST ASIAN!!
I remember when I was kid, we’re poor & country is under developing.
BUY HAIR IS VERY POPULAR HERE!! Because we ASIAN VERY LOVE TRADITIONS LONG HAIR!!
I remember 90-00s if there are 10 women out there then 7 women have SUPER THICK & LONG BLACK SILKY HAIR!!
Special for women in countryside & rural areas, they’re more TRADITIONAL!!
Alots ppl not sold their hair even they have PLENTY THICK HAIR, IT ABOUT TRADITIONAL & PROUDLY OF LONG HAIR.
But recently when country is devolveping & richer, life getting better. Ppl is more open mind with short hair & fashion, that’s why they’re sold hair usually.
Im 35yo now, I sold my hair once when I was teenage, it long time ago.
NOW, RARELY TO SEE PPL SOLD HAIR IN CITY.
Mostly buyers have to go to rural villas & countryside to buy hair!!
Because in city, ppl trimming their hair from middle to short. Not long enough to sold, that’s why left hair in HAIR SALONS COLLECT LEFT HAIR FROM CUSTOMER & SOLD IT WITH VERY CHEAP PRICE FOR BUYERS. Mostly is short hair to make bangs hair .
So, real human hair is good & beautiful, but it can be expensive if compare to fake hair.
Mostly ppl complain about price. Real hair cost more than fake hair already. Ppl need to remember the cost adding is about EMPLOYEES WORKERS. It’s all HANDMADE MAKE FROM HANDS & IT TAKE ALOTS TIME TO FINISH FOR 1 HAIR DONE.
Depend on hair long & styles. It take 2-3week or 4week to finish 1 hair.
SO PLEASE, STOP SAYINH YOU ONLY BUY 50-60-70$/hair from POOR VILLAGERS & SOLD FOR 600$.
You don’t cost electricity, employees, transportation, taxes to finish it.
Then wholesale buy it & sales for customers & they’re raise price too.

Wigs are also used by people who have no hair such as people undergoing chemo or a body condition such as alopecia I believe, also cosplayers. If you don't want them to wear wigs then go to every wig seller and pay them an amount that would last a lifetime. These women decide to sell their hair willingly to survive. If you have a problem with them being "exploited" again, go to every single one of them and pay them the same amount to which they sell their hair or the 700+ USD you claim they should get. It's either they starve or sell their hair and they decided the latter. Don't be mad at the wig sellers nor buyers, be mad at the people who made it so that living costs a fortune.

Hello, I come through this comment to talk about the good news of salvation called: Jesus Christ! God sent him to earth to die to save us from our sins and eternal damnation. The bible says in John 3:16 that God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Accept Jesus as your only savior. He died, rose again and will return to seek those who believe in him. Take a test: Pray to the Almighty God and ask him to change your life and reveal himself to you and accept Jesus as your savior.

I dont like the script of this documentary and the approach. Looks like an old colonialist documentary full of ignorance with a non modern perspective on diversity, that’s sad. Sad that this is the image that it gives of western world. Stuck in 1930 when then entire globe is im 2023. 💁

that is not true. there are other countries in the world that is not living like it is 2023. I am Burmese and Thai but i was raised and born in America and we are more fortunate than most. It is in fact like this. if you go visit you shall see. This document isn’t ignorant this is a real thing and issue going on in fact most Westerners and your comment sound ignorant and uneducated to think where we are at and us thriving should apply to worldwide. The case of Arabic is very very warm topic here , but everyone knows many Black Asian Jews Hindu and Latinos are fully recognized and respected.

Nothing wrong!! Don’t scare & dont worried.
AS LONG AS YOU CAN AFFORD REAL HAIR THEN BUY IT.
SO PPL PLEASE STOP SAY “YOU ONLY BUY 40-50-60$/hair from POOR VILLAGERS & SOLD 600$”
You don’t count electricity, employees, transportation, taxes to finish it.
Then wholesale buy it & sales for customers & they’re raise price too.
IM NOT SAY IT RIGHT TO BE EXPENSIVE BUT EVERYTHING HAVE REASON & THIS IS HOW LIFE GOING
