- Wanted to time myself on changing wheels on the 400. With all the mixed weather we've had at a lot of the race weekends, it's important to be able to change wheels fast. This is no endurance racing level where they have a team of people who can change both wheels in about 20-30 seconds, but this is acceptable for my needs.

Nice and solid video bro, doing my first wheel replacement this weekend, thank you!
This was a lifesaver- thanks! I used a piece of wood under my tire and everything suddenly fell into place.
Thank you for the great instructional video! Much appreciated.
hey i have the same kind of bike mine is a 2019 ninja 400 this video is very helpful to me ! very good video man 😎👍
Better if has some sound
Hi Alex, what is the model name of your Ohlins shocks?
What brand is that rear stand?
Also did you have to loosen the chain tension bolts before the video or just pull the axle and move the wheel forward to get the wheel off
No, what you see in the video is everything. I wanted to time myself to see roughly how long it takes me to swap out wheels from start to finish (assuming bike is on the stand and tools are available nearby of course).
What size is the axle nut? And is it the same front and rear? Thanks, great vid!
*Im sure you found out by now, its a 24MM and the other side bolt is 17MM to hold it from spinning*
Dunno why but I get no sound in this video?
I'm changing out my front tire and the brake pad closed on me and I'm jot sure how to open it? Any ideas
Pull them apart with a wedge. They don't just close on you though...you or someone else must've squeezed the brake lever a few times
Do you have to remove the rear brake caliper?
*Yes, its just being held on by 2 Allen Bolts*
My rear has the axel going in from the other side. Hmmmmm
I flipped mine around
Look at those calves lol!
Is your ninja 400 ABS?
No
@@sfcowan78 more like because ABS sucks for racing. Nobody wants ABS on race bikes. If they come with them, they take the whole system out.
@@sfcowan78 because not everyone is able to find a non-ABS model dumbass! Many of the bikes sold have ABS on them. I was lucky to find a non-ABS one, but others don't, so they remove the ABS system. Clearly you have no clue about racing bikes but you're out here talking out of your ass. "He's too cheap to spend the money"....dude you don't even know me.
No sound
great observation! lol The sound file got corrupted for some reason, but it doesn't matter because all you would've heard is a fan running in the background and whatever sound the tools made when set on the floor.
Ahahahahshhajshshj how to change the wheel. Take it off and put a new one.
