I am so very loss for the loss of your mum. You pay her a wonderful tribute by talking about how she basically inspired you to be creative and artistic. The story about the quilt made me smile so much... I had something similar happen to me with my granny. When I was young, I remember her crocheting and telling me and my cousins that she was making us blankets, as gifts for when we'd get married. She died 12 years ago, but when I got married last year, my mum called me to my bedroom and showed me a white lace crochet blanket - whose pattern I immediately recognized! Turns out, my granny had actually finished the blankets before she died, and gave them to her daughters-in-law for safekeeping and for giving them to her granddaughters as wedding gifts. It is such a precious gift, a tangible reminder of her and her love. Your mum's quilt will be the same for you

I am so sorry for your loss. It was great that you were able to spend some quality time with her on your visit. Just stumbled on this video, I haven't watched much. Im sorry for your pain and I understand it. Losing a parent is really hard. Sounds like you and your mom were friends too. I'll pray for you and say a rosary for you and your family. I will never forget your beautiful fun art. I'm not sure if I'll ever do art again. My son passed away just b4 Christmas. He was 19. 2020 was hard on so many.

How lucky you are to have had a Mom that left you with such an amazing legacy. She was clearly one of those special people who approached everything she touched with love and purpose. It is obvious that you understood and appreciated that gift. Just remember that every time you are creating something wonderful, that she is looking over your shoulder and smiling!

I tried cross stitch because that was one of the first things she taught me. I just don't like numbers and I don't like counting. Bahahaha! 😂 So I moved on and have found a new love for cold wax medium. I will probably do some videos soon. I really do love interacting with people like this.
