For two-plus hours, Anthrax performed an extensive set of hits and deep cuts pulled from their vast catalog. Today, Anthrax announces that the entire performance, plus never-before-seen rehearsal footage and Scott Ian’s New York City “walking tour,” pointing out the spots that played a role in Anthrax’s formation and history, will be released in North America on July 15 on Blu-Ray and Digital (Megaforce).
“Anthrax XL" will also have a European Digital release on July 15 (Nuclear Blast), followed by a Blu-Ray release later this year.

Directed by Jack Bennett
Mixed by Jay Ruston
Running time: 2h 5m 34s - Hudba
Damn, you can tell Chuck is 100% focused on delivering the rhymes. Fucking beast.
chuck d is my favorite rapper. he nails this.
@@frankgrimes7388nah man anthrax kicks ass live. And they were awesome here
Chuck D and Anthrax is the ultimate proof that it doesn't matter who you are, where you grew up, or what color your skin is-we can ALL get along and bang heads together. Plus it just gives me a happy feeling knowing they're friends. The mutual respect and love they have for one another is just adorable. Thanks for being one of my all-time favorite thrash bands and Hip-Hop artists from the very beginning. I was 7 when I heard my first Anthrax and Public Enemy songs. I'm so grateful for all the decades of inspiration.
I don't think I can like this comment enough sooooo I LIKE!!!!!
Well,, if you need a video to know that,,
And that we have for a long long time.
Scott Ian doesn't seem like the type who is actually like that. I mean...he was part of that band 'Storm Troopers of Death' that were racist as fuck lol
Man anthrax was friends with everyone always
I was a teenager when this track first dropped. What an amazing time to be alive.
I wasn't, I was still at primary school. But I discovered it in my teens when I got into metal. Started with Metallica, wanted more, was introduced to Anthrax and was hooked on them.
Hells Yeah. The final decade of music.
I remember the day it came out as well. Man what a time for music.
Attack of the Killer B’s was an epiphany.
@@milan1200 yesssss
I think it’s about time we recognized Charlie as one of the of the greatest metal drummers of all time.
I saw him shred the hell out of a guitar on Eddie Trunk’s “That Metal Show.”👍🏾👍🏾
He is recognised as one of the greatest metal drummers of all time, at least by metal drummers.
we have for years, where you been?
I mean, hes playing for Pantera. Thats recognition.
Don't worry, he'll be 'underrated' on other posts 😂😂
Forget the labels, music is music. This is a real friendship and I'm so happy to see Anthrax and Chuck D still getting together to perform this classic.
Legend has it that the drummer is still getting wicked
both of them
About to slide in Vinnie Paul’s shoes from what I hear…….
Never going to fill them! Charlie is solid asf but he is no where near the Brickwall!
Hahaha brilliant
@@mansonindahouse I respect Vinnie's style but Charlie is 100¹⁰ times a better drummer.
Damn, Charlie is killing it - he's better now than ever.
Wicked
one of the most underrated drummers
100% agree
Being a guitar player, Charlie is one of my favorite drummers.
@Mr.Joetatoehead halftera lol, not wrong
I love seeing Frankie mouthing the words along with Chuck D.
Anthrax and Chuck D. Fucking legends!!!!!
This sounds angrier and more impactful than the original. Carries more clout.
Love it!
I was thinking the same, a whole angrier and darker.
Bees
Rage against the machine eat your fuckin heart out this sounds dope as fuck
a lot of info between the 2
Holy shit! I'm proud to be the 420th person to like this comment! Badass! Love to all! Everyone!
Just listening to this really makes you feel like you're playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 again.
Good times.

These 80s Thrash bands are just getting better and better with age. They absolutely nailed this. Better than the original! Long Live Thrash!! ❤️🤘🏻
how about this 1 czcams.com/video/e6TwWLV05Ws/video.html🎵
Better than the original? Bruh.
@@frankgrimes7388I mean it’s a live version.
Thrash bands when they first started were better in my opinion
@@frankgrimes7388 the original of this, I would say the apocalypse 91 version to compare apples to apples
I listened to this all those years ago and loved it. I can't believe that after all this time the guys (Anthrax and D) rock harder than ever, just like my kids can't believe that I'm 54 and still listening to harder music than ever.
I was a kid when this came out...I already LOVED Public Enemy and Anthrax...but when they got together and did this it literally blew my mind....it was on repeat in my house for god knows how long (back then it meant rewinding the tape over and over) LMAO! Im 44 now and STILL rock out to it...it's certified classic!
46 here and I share your feelings!
Remember when this came out as well . Bought the Apocalypse '91 album on cassette and played it until it gave out . Have the cd of it and Attack Of The Killer B's on cd as well with this . Would love to see and hear a remake of this as a release on cd . Hope it happens .
Same here, and I'm 41.
@@cristianamaral9299 46 here too, and yes feel the same!!! Rock till dead!
the original version got me into Anthrax, and Anthrax got me into metal. This was a real treat, and it's great to see the band still going strong.
Never thought I'd like rap but this paved the way for Cypress Hill & Run DMC.
Still a metal head at heart but listen to all sorts of rap now too.
☮️💜
for Me Anthrax joke tune I'm the man got me into rap & metal
I feel like ever since worship music came out Anthrax has been tighter and heavier than ever their guitar tones and sound is just massive which makes this that much better!
Anthrax stronger than ever 41 years on. Fact.
Anthrax best of big 4. Fact
Like a diamond that is forever
and will remain the hardest ever!
probably the best recorded version of that track, ever
It needs the record scratching.
Not
It sounded so amazing live
No. That would be the original.
@@ItCameFromOuterHemel When you say "the original", are you talking about the original Public Enemy or the Anthrax cover of the song?
1969 Gen X here.
We had racism on the ropes. We laughed at racist jokes about ourselves and others but regarded racist people as fools stuck in the horrible past we were lucky to be born after. In the 90's if you were against racism it just meant you were a regular person.
Anthrax and Public Enemy on stage collab is all the proof I needed.
We didn't cancel people. The dude making the hardcore racist jokes usually got the hint that nobody was laughing. It was a sly accountability, and we had tough conversations without worrying about pissing each other off.
There are always going to be racist individuals. It is already illegal to discriminate against people by Race, Religion, Sex, Disability, and other immutable characteristics. I investigated Federal and State discrimination complaints for 8 years. There are many instances of racism. And it was awesome helping people through it and holding accountable those who are unwilling to provide equal access/opportunity to everyone. There are also many many instances where the human experience of being surrounded by our own misperceptions led to a misunderstanding. Many accusations of racism were when the employer or landlord doesn't give a reason for their actions and the person is left to their assumptions. Those assumptions and feelings for how things are generally going are shaped by information the person gets. If every source of information is telling them white supremacists are lurking everywhere, that no matter how hard they work it will not matter because of racism, it doesn't take a phd to figure out what the majority of humans in that situation would assume.
Too much togetherness isn't good for the ones sticking it to us so Division has become the game once again.
They need White Supremacy to be a boogeyman. The big trial in Wisconsin and the response afterwards is proof. Anyone who watched the news and not the trial should feel white supremacist got away with taking a machine gun across state lines and shot 3 black people. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED and it is easily known for the past year. This is no mistake. This is all intentional.
Don't let the tablet, TV, phone, or teachers make you hate your neighbor. Keep using your heads folks and talk to each other!
Chris Forever Young
Scott's tone is absolutely sick! Ripping that groove.
When Anthrax plays, my soul just shines. Thank you for the music, guys.
So many things to say about this. I was 22 when this came out. I'll be 53 years old tomorrow. Been a fan of Anthrax since 1983 and they always have MULTIPLE spots in my Spotify playlist, including this track. I'm not really sure what "stuck" with me about these guys but in a way, maybe I compare them to a thrash version of Van Halen. They always look like they're really enjoying what they're doing. Keep it up boys and best of luck, Charlie in the Pantera tribute tour! Oh shit!! I didn't even notice Joey until the end!! Nice!!
Same with me. I just turned 53 last week. We grew up in a great time.
Icons forever Thank you very much GOD bless Everyone Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸
I saw Primus, Public Enemy, and Antrhrax in Oakland in ‘91, and A) it was fanTAStic!! And, B) All three bands got together for the last song which was this! One!! Right HERE!!! And may have been the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life! (Les Claypool on the circus bass drum was lovely.)
young black teenagers too right? I saw that tour too. Good fun!
I went to that show also. Shame it had to end so early but I can understand the Red Cross needing the facility for those Oakland Firestorm victims being displaced.
i saw that in Salem, OR.
As a child of the MTV generation who loved Hip Hop and Metal equally I felt like this song was made for me when it dropped. It changed my life.
I was in the same boat, bro. It was a special crossover 👌🏻
100%!!
This should be re-recorded on studio. So tight!
Definitely!
Highly agree! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Sure? Cannot goes any better than this!
Or just release this one instead of studio. This has vibe, bite, and punch
Charlie is still pulling off Brutal bass drum grooves, after all these years :)
This is why I love Anthrax....they frigging bring the rap as well
まさかの一曲がすげー嬉しい!
1991年の曲が今聴いても最高にカッコいい!
Do we need more power? Bring the noise!!! 🤘🤘
Just in case anyone was wondering if Anthrax has still got it... yeeyeaah!!! They still got it.
Charlie is the best of the Big 4 drummers and you can't convince me otherwise. Can't wait to hear him with Pantera.
I'm more curious about the openers now I that I know a PanterA reunion is confirmed.
@@Lethal.Burrito "Reunion"
He's tied with Lombardo. But I've always loved Benante's sound. Very underrated if anything
What about lars?
I have to agree with the guy who says it's a tie between him and Lombardo because Lombardo has been involved in so many different projects and drummed so many different styles. I just haven't seen Charlie play drums for anything other than rock music whereas Dave Lombardo has played drums for Apocalyptica, and several other projects where he played completely different styles compared to his work in Slayer and other thrash projects. Dave also gets credit for the amount of bands he's currently tied to as he just rejoined Testament in March 2022 after many years away, he is the drummer of record for Mr Bungle, Suicidal Tendencies, and even The Misfits. He doesn't tour with all of them but he has played shows with each one of them and has been the studio drummer when they recorded.
I'm sure Charlie will do a great job during the Pantera reunion shows that are coming up in 2023 and I guess that is where I will see how well he plays the material. I'm not taking anything away from Charlie but there are moments in the studio where Joey Belladonna, of course the lead singer of Anthrax and accomplished drummer, has played on tracks instead of Charlie. Most people don't know that Belladonna is considered a badass drummer and at least in the formulative years of the band he was considered the better drummer but he was singing and didn't need to do both jobs at once.
I am not dissing Charlie but I need to see him be in other bands playing different styles like Dave Lombardo has over the years.
Thank you guys for always Bringin the NOISE! I'm a 58 yr old Punker that Loves the shit outta this!
You and me both, bro! Im a hip-hopper and also love the shit out of this as well!
Chuck D........ WHERE ARE YOU! 👏👏 Remember when this was released and I've still got the original vinyl single 🤘
Still KICK ASS AND STILL ON A ROAD.HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY. GODS OF THRASH
Love this version. So raw and heavy
I love the fact that the older these boys get the greater the venom in their performance!!!!! 😁
I've never been a huge rap fan, but Chuck D's voice has always been killer. I love it.
Same as far as rap for me, but Body Count is some epic shit.
@@MichaelBradley1967 ... agreed.
I was impressed with the prophets of rage also. But I am a fan of RATM, Cypress Hill and Audioslave and 80s rap
Exactly what we need, from who we need, when we need it most.
Bout to hear that drummer get wicked. Charlie gonna make Vince proud
Vinny!
We'll do it live!
Amazing. It's my sister's 40th too, and I'm the one who gets the gift. Glasgow with Motorhead feels like yesterday, and it's coming up on a decade. Thanks again, Anthrax.
Who saw these guys tour together? I did. What a privilege!
Just pure chills!
46 years old im im still ready to brimg the noise!!!!

Scotty is killing it… just like bungle. My mask approves. They sound great. What a treat!
This was a monumental moment in the history of music
A big thank you to Scott Ian!!
@@sweetmissypetuniawilson9206 yes definitely
I don't think we saw anything else like it till the judgement night soundtrack. Light years ahead of its time
@@78KRS oh definitely
I wonder if someone had tried to do rap-metal before?
HELL YEAH!
Masterpiece then and now!
Can you believe Chuck D. is 61???!!!
This was some of the heaviest rap rock that was out there back in the day, man we had the best shit out there. P.E and Anthrax the definitive rap rock fusion.
The thing is, it wasnt a fusion back then. It was organic. It wasnt forced together, Or blended... it was just the scene. Its how things grew in the rough neighborhoods. The hardcore kids, the metal heads, the hip hop kids, the rattlecanners, skaters... they all came from the same places. Didnt know anything different.
Still sounds good 30+ years later!
The combination of Charlie, Frank and Scott are incredible
Chuck and Anthrax unites the world in just 3 minutes ...this is insanely good !!!
Soo Good! Everyone sounding great!! This and Tony Hawk 2 after school was life!
I saw them on the Clash of the Titans tour in Atlanta in ‘91. Alice in Chains opened (when they were nobody), Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth. What a concert!
I was there as well. They said I had a good time 🤣
I saw the same tour in Columbus, Ohio
I've never seen Anthrax live. Every time they played anywhere near me I was on holiday! Saw Megadeth in the 90s and finally got to see AIC in 2006, but I'd love to see Anthrax, just once!
MSG NYC
Saw this in Buffalo :)
Final year of high school for me. The best decade of my life, perhaps the last great decade we've seen.
I remember when the original came out...I was in high school - Anthrax was my favorite band and PE was my favorite rap group.. I couldn't believe they had gotten together to do a track. I was beside myself and it didn't disappoint. I still have my Attack Of the Killer B's on tape ... What a badass redo this is!!!
Sorry. Thank you guys for recording once again this amazing song. I see you playing alive in Buenos Aires, Argentina during "Sound of the white noise tour" so incredible your energy and precission. Being a big fan of P.E. and ANTHRAX i'm really happy to see you perform togheter one more time. Can we expected another featuring in the future? Big hug from Buenos Aires!!
Big Hellyeah!! This made my day!!
I love anthrax
The song that sparked my love for public enemy and anthrax, way back 😘
I listened to this song in real time back then.
My generation had the best hardrock music in history
They never have sounded better Frankie and Charlie were the reasons why I got into Anthrax in the 80’s
Franks bass tone is massive. Sick
If you were around back then and had seen Anthrax on Headbanger's Ball in their Among The Living and State Of Euphoria days, you knew two things.
One: Anthrax was the only band of the Big Four that was based on the East Coast. They had a different vibe and a definite groove.
Two: Public Enemy had a punkish vibe that didn't need explaining to more diverse metal fans.
Three: I pity the fool that doesn't turn it up.
Anthrax was one of my favorite thrash bands. Got to finally see em couple years ago in Seattle. Was Fucking great!
i brought the noise in the 80's and 90's. now i just want to bring some miralax and a bud.
for real this brought me back to the days of vision street wear, surfing, too much poon and too much trouble due to said amount of poon.
Fuckin A right.
Too much poon….I wish I were 21 again.
Just gonna echo the sentiment of everyone else here when I say this sounds great!
Love this in 2023!!!
I listened to "Attack of the Killer Bs" constantly in the early 90s... awesome collab here that brings back memories!
One my all time favorite Anthrax songs EVER!! I can't wait to see them this Aug in Austin!! A dream come true!!
No words to describe this MASTERPIECE

This is amazing! Well done, gents! Definitely made my Monday!
I saw pe and anthrax perform this at the Manchester Apollo, I think it was 1990 , anthrax were on the attack of the killer bs tour ,Charlie had just revealed his flat top hair cut and I remember how people were debating if you could be a metal drummer with short hair lol .
It's awesome to see and hear them perform this with Chuck , I missed Flava's voice but Frankie did a good job on that front .
I was there too and remember being well freaked out by his new hairdo! Haha, how fucking narrow minded were we back then? I've still got long hair after chopping and changing between skinheads, flat tops and 'metal' hair.
It only makes a difference to me if you can smell that someone's not really into it. And posers, they can fuck right off too.
Pretty sure we saw Slayer play there on the RIB tour too. Great venue.
So awesome!
This version is the best ever !!
This was the second track on THPS2, shit was rad.
Not for nothing when anthrax and public enemy dropped this collaboration back in the day,it changed my perception of music forever.
The beginning of funk/groove metal!
I didn't think the original could better and yet here we are.
The music that turned me a metal fan in the early 90's. Thanks Anthrax and Public Enemy!
To think that they released the first version 30 yrs ago, and this version rocks so damn hard, they are true Legends !! It's not the same without Flav, but I'm so glad they made this. Can't wait to see them in Austin next month !!
Agree. For me though I like this version without Flav better. I don’t think it’s a Flav type. Better fit for Chuck D. I don’t know if Flav would be able to keep up with the heaviness of this one. 🤣🤣 But yea they nailed this. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
38 year old me is so glad i found this... thank u....... say what u want but man we had our shit together so much better in the 90s
TIMELESS TUNE!
Amazing .
Two different music genres to get together and talk about what’s going on today when it was going on then it only means more now
Cheers from Brazil!!!!!
Never gets old with me Chuck D.
