@@nimbal3304 would be weird because they would have to add the 2000-5f late AND the 2000-5 Mk2, the Mk2 giving it the ability to carry exocet missiles when they add them to the game and new countermesures systems and a better radar
Damm I got dunked on in a video. Doesn't feel so bad actually. I was flying the F-15J there and I can tell you I got completely tunnel visioned, I remember at that moment I was so confused how I got gun killed all of a sudden because I didn't know you were there at all.
I find the Mirage the most enjoyable airframe at top tier. It IS limited in staying power but the FM isn't lacking at all. The rate isn't so far behind the F-15 and F-16 that pilot skill can't adjust for it. For a delta wing it rates very well. I also really enjoy the UFO like FM at extreme low speeds. I really don't think I'd rather have another plane for the 1v1. It's very fun. That said I don't yet have the Gripen. I've only test flown it. It's the last top tier airframe I'm yet to try. I'd argue cockpit matters a lot in SIM and the Mirage 2K5Fs cockpit is super nice. Again like you said, it's biggest issue is staying power. Hopefully we get the two outer-wing drop tanks and 6 MICAs soon. I'd suspect we'll see MICAs in March when they drop the JAS-39C for Sweden with RB-99s.
The Mirage 2k in a good pilots hands is deadly. This patch I think I’ve enjoyed bullying Gripen pilots. When I first got the cs5 a while back I was like how can this plane do this good at near min speeds.
Huh, sim looks interesting. But I've always just done RB whenever i play on my HOTAS, cause my friends refuse to do sim. Maybe some day I'll try sim once i have a half decent top tier jet. Good video through, i liked it.
Can you do a setup guide? And maybe some recommendations for what stuff to buy and not? I want to get into sim and I'm not sure what components to get first
Hey nimbal great video!! how do you get your in cockpit radar to look like that? all i can find is the standard green gridded one but i love the look of this one and it reminds me of dcs. THanks
I think its a bit unfair to base a plane’s performance off the worst possible situation where the enemy pilot knows how to fly his plane and knows how to fight against the Mirage 2000 in his plane, i still personally believe its the best dogfighter after the Gripen but if a Mirage 2000 pilot is aggressive enough with his dogfighting then he can win, the Mirage 2000 needs a very aggressive dogfighting style
Gripen is more fore giving, BUT at min speeds the mirage has the advantage because of its thrust . I got a few vids in my archive of my fighting Gripens and exploiting their low speed disadvantage. A slow Gripen is a dead Gripen.
@@jordancourse5102 i think most war thunder players underestimate the Mirage 2000 a lot, it is absolutely the king of low speed still, its like trying to win a stall fight against a spitfire, it just never stalls out or loses control. There have been so many times where from my POV, my Mirage 2000 just looks like its spinning (because im turning) while slowly floating down from midair like a piece of paper
I’ll put it the way I see it in war thunder. M2K is good but limited against better planes as you stated. One thing that puts it behind as well is not overperforming in Flight Model. In game the M2K match manual and real life charts and does have realistic performance. So does the F14B (expect compressor stall) and MiG-29. All of the other F16, F15, M4K, JAS39 etc are all UFO in a way or overworking way too much… (F16 still can pull out 45/50 degree of AoA and not departure from controlled flight ) It will get fix one day but UFO FM are plagie in war thunder, I don’t care then overperforming a bit but they straight up wreck anything that isn’t overperforming.

What a shock, I’m not saying I disagree, I’m just saying you may not be using the plane right if you’re going 2 circle in it. (And when dealing with someone forcing the 2 circle you have to cut the circle, which is why altitude and energy management is important)

I have it and it’s good but the acceleration after Mach .9 is worse than the 2k. I guess because of the drag but definitely a great plane.
It's a beast in sim ngl, even without HMD and all aspect PD.
