Oli kaunis keväinen lauantai aamu Itä-Helsingin Roihuvuoressa Strömsinlahden venekerhon edustalla. Aurinko on noussut pilvettömällä taivaalla ja meri oli täysin tyyni.
Dji Drone on aika nostaa ilmaan. Lähdemme suoraan upean venerannan yli Roihuvuoreen sisään kohti kerrostaloalueita. Auringon matala valo antaa upeita värejä juuri kukkaan puhjenneesta luonnosta. Ilmasta käsin voi todeta, että upeita puita ja vihreää luontoa on täällä paljon.
Majesteettinen Roihuvuoren vesitorni seisoo jykevästi kalliolla, jonka ympärillä pyörimme hitaasti fiilistellen, taustamaisemien muuttuessa. Jatkamme takaisin venekerhon rantaan, josta jatkamme kapean Tammisalon kanavan läpi kohti upeita ulkoilu ja retkeily puistoja. Maisemat ja luonto on todella upeita ja kesä on vasta ovella. Suositut kajakki reitit kulkevat näissä paikoissa.
🚀 Pidä hatustasi kiinni, nyt lähdetään virtuaaliselle sohva matkalle.
✅ Roihuvuori (ruots. Kasberget) on Helsingin 43. kaupunginosaan eli Herttoniemeen kuuluva
osa-alue Strömsinlahden ja Porolahden rannalla, Herttoniemenrannan, Marjaniemen ja
Tammisalon naapurissa. Matka linnuntietä Helsingin keskustaan Rautatientorille on noin 7 kilometriä ja tietä pitkin noin 10 kilometriä. Roihuvuoren alueella on 7 869 asukasta vuonna 2019, mikä tarkoittaa, että joka 82. helsinkiläinen asuu alueella. Työpaikkoja alueella on 1 025 (2012). Alueen pinta-ala on 1,53 km² eli noin 1,25 % Helsingin maapinta-alasta. Alueen raja kulkee etelässä Johan Sederholmin tietä, Porolahtea ja Tammisalon kanavaa pitkin.
Idässä Marjaniemen suunnalla perinteisesti rajana on ollut Mustapuro, mutta nykyisin Marjaniemen siirtolapuutarhan ojan länsipuolinen osa kuitenkin katsotaan kuuluvaksi Vartiokylän kaupunginosaan ja ojan itäpuolinen metsikkö ja niitty Strömsinlahden rannalla taasen Roihuvuoreen. Pohjoisessa rajana on Itäväylä. Lännessä Roihuvuoren erottaa Herttoniemen yritysalueesta kapea vihervyöhyke, jonka länsi reunaa pitkin osa-alueiden raja kulkee. Näin ollen lähellä rajaa pohjois-etelä suuntaisesti kulkevan Sahaajankadun puolin olevat rakennukset kuuluvat Herttoniemen yritys alueeseen.
Sodan jälkeen Roihuvuoren alue liitettiin Helsingin maalaiskunnasta Helsingin kaupunkiin vuoden 1946 suuressa alueliitoksessa. Ensimmäinen hyvin omakoti valtainen asemakaava Herttoniemen alueelle valmistui vuonna 1946. Kaavoitus ihanteet kuitenkin muuttuivat nopeasti, ja 18. marraskuuta 1952 vahvistettiin uusi Irma Mikkolan suunnittelema asemakaava, joka käsitti lähinnä nykyisen Roihuvuoren eteläosan.

Roihuvuori (Swedish: Kasberget) is a subdivision of Helsinki's 43rd district, Herttoniemi, on the shores of Strömsinlahti and Porolahti, in the neighborhood of Herttoniemenranta, Marjaniemi and Tammisalo. The distance by bird to the center of Helsinki to Rautatientori is about 7 kilometers and by road about 10 kilometers.
The Roihuvuori area has 7,869 inhabitants in 2019, which means that every 82nd Helsinki resident lives in the area. There are 1,025 jobs in the area (2012). The area of the area is 1.53 km², or about 1.25% of Helsinki's land area. The border of the area runs in the south along Johan Sederholm road, Porolahti and the Tammisalo canal. In the east, in the direction of Marjaniemi, the border has traditionally been Mustapuro, but nowadays the western part of the ditch of the Marjaniemi allotment garden is still considered to belong to the Vartiokylä district, and the forest and meadow on the east side of the ditch on the shore of Strömsinlahti again belong to Roihuvuori.
