- Phil X jams A Zeppelin Medly and Walk All Over You, by AC/DC, in a small bar in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
Although the venue only had a small riser for a stage, a low ceiling, two light stands and a tiny sound system, the local audience was treated to an amazing night of rock on August 29th 2009. The Musicians in the jam night included; Guitarist (Phil X), Bassist (Kevin Gingrich) and Drummer (Paul Hoffman).

Phil X spent a few years kicking around the club scene in Toronto, Canada. It wasn't long before he started developing a reputation as a guitarist with some serious power behind his sound. One day, after a twist of fate, he was asked to play for Tommy Lee. The next day he was in the studio and began recording guitars for MCA's Methods of Mayhem (Dec.'99). Since his reputation as being a raw, inventive and energetic guitarist got around, Phil X has recorded with Daughtry, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Rob Zombie, Gavin Degraw, Alice Cooper, Andrew W.K. and many more.

As a vocalist and guitar player...what Phil is doing live....is top tier calibur.
He could tour with his song list.
He is better than 95% of what the pop culture is trying to feed us all.

Malmsteen, MacAlpine and other great guitarists have been playing to audiences of only 200 since around 1994 because only guitarists are interested in other guitarists.
Not many guitar players enjoy playing more than Phil. Love this guy.
Totally agree, Phil is garage jamming all day everyday, just having totally fun with it, and thats what music is all about....FUN

Andrew Howsmon he has done everything he possibly can to make that thing stay in tune lol. Graphite nut etc, Wouldn’t be surprised if he uses titanium hardware lol

I had no idea he was Canadian. This guy is top level talent. I'm sure he could have done anything he wanted to do musically. Can't blame the guy for being a hired gun. Would love to see this guy play live if we went out on his own!

@yamahabmxer1, @heyhelveeoneforeyt A P94 in the bridge position, which is a P90 shaped like a humbucker. He leaves the neck position empty, and sometimes puts a fan cage over the hole.

If you're drumming for Phil X, you have no choice but to pay attention. Phil seems to play what's in his head, like he's making up the setlist as he goes. It works well for them, too. Phil's at his best when he's f'n around and having fun.

@rockynashfilms no i know he does that or he uses the tuning keys, but i have seen some video where he plays the 12th fret e and b string harmonics then he starts turning his guitar and the note lowers while he does it

Oh fuck, he will be playing with Bon Jovi on 10th of July in Bucharest, Romania. Frankly I don't like BJ, but would kill to hear him playing guitar live. Too bad I have exams the other day.
