My husband had exactly the same accident in the same place in 1986 and broke his neck too. I met him at the spinal unit where I worked as a nurse and we married in 1990. Unfortunately he passed away in 2000 but he would have given anything to have tried your therapy. Thank heavens for progress and I’m so glad thing’s are better for you. Good luck for a long and happy future.

The doctors & the outside of the box treatment. And to his girlfriend who later became his wife. Wow, this is 1 of the best stories I've listened to & watched for December! This is such a feel good story. What a lovely couple. I'm so glad his girlfriend (later wife) never abandoned him & said as long as his mind & heart were still the same, then she would stick with him. He fought & battled & used his mind, heart, & willpower to tackle obstacles & he later married his girlfriend. She is such a nice gal with a good heart. I'm proud of him for never giving up! Because they are book nerds who study for 8 years, go through 3 years of residency and finally graduate to work 60 hour weeks, on call weekends, swing shift, holidays and Midnight's.... To be told they should be "nicer" and "more sensitive" when saving lives. How do you even train how to drop that bomb on a family?
That is unconditional love you are blessed you have a good wife. And you have life. Keep fighting. My girlfriend left after my accident. I supported her so she could take care of her sick mother than she just wanted to be friends. So we end all contact.

Recovery is possible. Im partially paralyzed from a bad car accident 3.5 years ago. Doctors also said no chance of recovery. BUT over the last 6 months I’ve been able to manually stimulate the muscles and my body is starting to work again. If it wernt for my stubbornness I’d genuinely still be unable to breathe without pain keep pushing if your going through this!
