Real talk im not a fan of Joey, but they need a busted red eyes card that merges flame swordsman and red eyes in to 1 deck with synergy.

On the one hand I love that this deck is getting more support, on the other hand I kind of don't like that the new stuff is retrains of Atem's cards and not Yugi's stuff like Toy Magician or Block Golem.
To be fair summoned skull was used by Yugi in the final duel against atem, and I would consider dark magician to be both their cards. I would like to see magnet warrior and buster blader retrains though
Definitely would love to see a dark magician girl card since Yugi used the female food magicians in the Movie

@@stilllkissi4027 Dark Magician being part of Gold Sarcophagus kinda confirms Yugi's cards from DSOD have a chance to get a retrain. Like Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight or the "Magician Girl" cards or the "Dimension" cards.
ALthough I am kinda mad "Magnet Warriors" haven't gotten one given they were the cards Yugi used to defeatthe Egyptian Gods
The thing about Dark Magician is that he can be summoned if either player controls Gold Sarc. Whereas the others need you to control Gold Sarc. So the DM is intended for the opponent to play.
Also the new Mirror Force can protect you from Gandora's effect just like in the manga.

Illusion of Chaos and Magicians Souls is good when combined with the new DM Sorcerer. IOC can act as a separate searcher for Sorcerer, and Souls can send dead Gold Sarcs and other cards for draws.
Course you'd need a vanilla DM or a DMG to make Souls really work. This could make Soul Servant better, since Sorcerer's name is DM on the field.
I am hoping they make a Gold Sarc DMG to help make this process easier if we were to run the IOC and Magicians Souls. Something like this card is treated as DMG on the field. If DM is on field, you can SS it from your hand or GY. Then if DM and DMG are both on the field, search for a card in deck that mentions DMG on it. That would be a good bridge to the older DM cards that would work well in Gold Sarc.

I wonder if the reason why they're pumping out support for this archetype is cause they plan to release it early on Master Duel like they did with Snake Eyes, maybe as a continuation of the 2nd anniversary celebration.

Remember that it only needed "Dark Magician" (not necesarilly a card whose original name is "Dark Magician") and it could be fusion summoned with a Dragon effect monster? Sure it doesn't get its pop a card effect because no normal monster was used, but do you really care?

Why can't they just make it special summon it's self while gold sarco on the field like DM. A normal summon was used for gadget already....
@@ultronsigma2737 becuase then the deck becomes a link climbing deck due to multiple special summons from hand for no resources aside from set up.
@@JEL625 that's not a good reason lol, The deck mostly play second with gandora wipe off the field. Now thanks to not having the special summon, it's not worth playing it
@JEL625 gandora and dark magician already do that. Did you see him link climb at all in these replays? Also, if you play ties that Bind it locks you out of the ED anyways. Summoned skull being able to summon itself would not suddenly make it a link climbing deck.

this is definitely a fun deck when it goes off, but its so painful to get your gadget negated and have a dead hand because of lack of access to shinning sarc
Can you make a gold sarc deck without dragoon? OCG player are crying with banned dragoon haha
That's unfortunate. This deck needed at least one more negater and Dragoon is really solid way to do it. I hope it remains untouched if it isn't causing too much trouble in other decks.

The deck is really weak against hand traps to be honest. You need Sarcophagus to play the deck.

The new Dark magician guy. If he is destroyed by card effects and you control a lv 5 or higher monster, he summons himself then sets a S/T that mentions dark magician from your deck. He set secrets of dark magic. It's a quick play fusion. The new dark magician is treated as dark magician on the field and gandora is a dragon effect monster. The exact fusion requirements for dragoon

tbh the deck needs more cards and more searchers only way i see this deck being any good and theres alot of monsters in yugis deck they can make it work
It's a fun deck, I honestly believe this is it for awhile with this deck. Maybe random cards later, but I guess it's just nice to have for nostalgia.
