Since we’re on the unpopular opinion, allow me to give mine.
The reason why I think fans get excited when they see their influencers is because they’ve built a relationship overtime. When an influencer comes online and talks about the good and the bad in their life, fans will celebrate with them and be sad with them during the bad days. According to them, this is their friend. They know them deeply.
When it comes to public meetings, they’ll definitely be so happy and outgoing, forgetting that on the contrary, you know nothing about them as opposed to how they feel like they know you. So when the influencer acts cold, in their eyes, the influencer is acting weird.
That being said, I dont support invading anyone’s privacy and asking personal questions because you think you know them from Instagram.
For influencers, if you put yourself in the fans shoes, they probably don’t think they’re doing anything wrong.

Lastly, in the same breath you ask for grace from your followers, give your 'fans' grace too when they approach you in public spaces. Until they really overstep of course, be more accommodating. You did choose this life and so to some extent the excitement of a fan seeing you comes with the territory. You share intimate parts of your lives that it's inevitable for people to feel like they know you, are connected to you or that you're a 'friend'. To you it may be just a business but to someone out there, you are their hero. It's actually a beautiful thing until boundaries are crossed,LOL Confession, when Prim was away I was actually genuinely concerned yet I don't even watch all her stories like that but when I do, I like this person and I could have overstepped because I did try to send her flowers just to let her know well, someone out there you don't know is thinking about you. What I am saying is, some people really do care about their online friends then let's not forget the nosy ones LOL OKBYE
People will always respect your boundaries as long as you set them.
Boundaries are not drawn to keep something out but to protect what’s in 📌
Also boundaries are set to respect self and not to offend the significant other. So boundaries are so important and healthy for any descent human being ❤️

this episode definitely brought out some👏 hard👏 truths👏. the picture you have painted has given us a window of a sort into what your day to day experiences are. You are content creators but today we are reminded that you are just like every other human being(your emotions or attitudes towards certain things and everything else) . this was really R.A.W!!

One thing is content creators, just like bigger celebrities are often dehumanized. We forget that behind these screens are real people with real feelings just like us even if they 'chose' the lifestyle. Downside that comes with the territory but we can all learn to have grace and get these people off that pedestal like you said.
I wouldn't even call myself a content creator at the level you people are at but I have had people DM me from the little I create saying my life is so 'perfect' or asking me for all these solutions to things even I myself are just figuring out and I make sure to tell them that we show what we want on these platforms that may not necessarily give the bigger picture. Anyway it takes some strong skin to be on here, just remember why you chose this space and it's ok to change direction any time, we are only human.

Everything has a better and worse side. You just have to learn on how to live with both. Imagine an influencer life without any negative situations such as comments from fans. You would have to question why?
Then again you people always do the content for us and we adhere. It's heartbreaking when you tell how you can't go through every one of them. We already know that. But then why bring it up. What if we also choose to view and just pass. But anyway life is never about pleasing everyone and we are all human.
For the excitement when we see you, you are our inspiration some days. Think about some one you've always looked up to online and you accidentally see them physically.

I never would have guessed that comparison gets to you Claire. It probably comes from you having no ceiling, you will always push for more and more because you know you have it in you to do more. The issue of none payment after you've made an agreement. It's so annoying and unprofessional. It's happened to me to often in Uganda.

To my simple understanding, People are entitled to their own opinion. Keep doing your best and God will do the rest. People sit comment and talk about the dead .What about you are who are in public. Let it people be . You can take or leave it.
For example like Claire’s comment she made when someone met her with her child like she said (stranger) personally if she did that to me,I would feel bad but if that’s what make her comfortable and gives her peace that’s okay . So why would you feel bad when you are inconsiderate of other people’s feelings and you want to be considerable.
You need to learn to respect people’s boundaries. Why would you feel bad about me protecting my child? You feeling bad about me protecting a one year old is entirely a YOU problem my dear. No one is out here trying to make you feel bad. ❤
One thing I understand, we are human, no one is perfect and we keep learning everyday and making ourselves better everyday, it’s not all about learning to respect people’s boundaries because I can’t meet people expectations of me . Like i always say, I do my best and God does the rest . So long as I have not done something with no intentions to hurt . If it doesn’t go on well with the other party and you let me know. We can handle it and vice versa. We are not Robots. We are human being. You are doing your best and my best wishes.
