  • Hello and welcome! With just a week left here in Malaysia we've decided to explore the East coast and actually saw our FIRST WATERFALL IN MALAYSIA!! We were shocked how BIG and BEAUTIFUL it was! We took the trek from Port Dickson to our first stop, Terengganu, which took 7 hours, but totally worth it! Stay tuned as we head to the Perhentian Islands, Cameron Highlands, Ipoh and whatever else we find along the way!
Thank you so much for watching!

Pandan waterfall is at Kuantan, in the State of Pahang. If you enjoy nature & scenic view, you should stay longer in Pahang where you can visit Taman Negara in Kuala Tahan, Jerantut, the 130 million years old rain forest & one of the oldest rain forest in the world, or you can visit Lake Chini, the second largest original, not man made, fresh water lake in Peninsular Malaysia, where you can enjoy scenic view & interact with the Jakun Tribe, the Orang Asli or Native people of Malaysia. You can also enjoy cool climate and Tea plantation in Cameron Highland or visit beautiful beaches at Cherating Kuantan or Tioman Island. There are many more....I bet, you will definitely enjoy it & not to be dissappointed!!

Even though it doesn't rain where you are at the waterfall..but be very careful because it may rain somewhere else causing sudden water surges downstream from the mountain top. Try to avoid the east coast as these areas tend to flood easily...

suggest go for Chemerong waterfall terengganu ... Malaysia’s highest waterfalls is located in a remote district of Dungun, Terengganu. As part of the state’s green heritage, the Chemerong waterfall offers a good hiking spot for any outdoor and hiking enthusiasts. Talling at a height of 305 metres and appearing like a giant human figure。 on the road a few kilometers away. . . You can see the waterfall in the distance. Very beautiful!

During festive season (Eid Mubarak or Hari Raya) the travelling hours on the normal distance will take 12-15 hours due to the enormous volume of traffic. Some people from KL will avoid the crawling Karak Highway and will go via Negeri Sembilan thus passing theu’ three states before reaching the uppermost Kelantan. Others will travel via the North-South highway making an exit at Kuala Kangsar to go to Grik, the entry point to the East-West Highway that brings you to Kelantan or vice-versa.

Not a recommended time to be on the east coast due to monsoon season. Tendency to get flooded is highly likely. But worry not, as long as you stay out of low lying/valley, then should be ok.
