As someone who is incredibly intrested in folklore, I'd like to drop this here:
In some iterations of the Banshee's lore, the Banshee can be women who passed in child birth or who lost (either accidentally or intentionally) their babies. I just found it intriguing that you got 'Banshee' and then later when talking to the woman she came through with information that she 'lost' her baby.
I believe Banshee’s, in some mythologies, are female spirits that feel an overwhelming sense of dread and that is why they constantly scream, even when there is seemingly no reason to

I can only find Irish lore, do you happen to know which culture specifically says Banshees are associated with babies? I know La Llorona sounds like a Mexican version of a Banshee, but I've never seen it stated that she IS a Banshee.

Banshees are messengers for both good and bad. Banshees wail, screech, point, and comfort. They are Irish folklore based.
They may be folklore based to some but to my family they are very real she has wail and screech to the point my mother died 6 months later.
Ok, I am a major Salem Witch Trials history nerd, ever since I found out my 11th great grandmother was one of the victims. That being said, here’s a few things I’ve learned that hopefully can help shed light on some things:
The tainted rye theory that Celina mentioned is one of the leading theories. Ergot poisoning can cause hallucinations similar to LSD and convulsions, which could account for the symptoms the young girls were exhibiting when the hysteria began. However, this is NOT proven. There are several other theories for why the Trials happened (up to and including socioeconomic motivations and just plain making it up), but we still don’t know for sure what caused this all to happen and spiral out of control.
None of the victims were stoned to death. Every victim was hung, except for Giles Corey, the man who was pressed to death with the board and stones. He refused to enter a plea, and it’s said that his last words were “more weight.”
The first women accused were considered “outcasts” of society - homeless, servants - people that no one would really care (unfortunately) if anything happened to them. Most of the victims were like this - seen as burdens on society that accusing them of being witches was a convenient way to get rid of them. However, it began spiraling out of control, and people who were seen as upstanding members of society (church-going, God-fearing, well-off financially, rule followers) began being accused (see Rebecca Nurse). This is when people started to seriously question what was happening. One victim even went so far as reciting the entire Lord’s Prayer without mistakes as he stood at the gallows (it was said that if you were a servant of the devil this was impossible). People in the crowd began to doubt his guilt, questioning whether they should let him go. However, Cotton Mather (minister who helped add fuel to the Trials) convinced the crowd that the devil was feeding him the words, and they hung him anyway.
Not a single victim that was executed admitted to the charges. They all maintained innocence until the end. It’s interesting to note that the people who DID admit to the charges were NEVER EXECUTED. So, more people began confessing, even if it wasn’t true, because they saw that as the only way to potentially save themselves.
It wasn’t until 1957 - nearly 300 YEARS AFTER THE TRIALS - that a few of the victims were officially exonerated. Several more would be added to that act in 2001.

I think the fact that women weren't allowed to speak, or do pretty much anything, without the approval of a puritan male. And children, being easily influenced, heard things said by adults that terrified them. They panicked and, rather than take punishment, they blamed someone they heard adults say was at fault. The ergot poisoning could have played a factor too. Also people not knowing how to interpret dreams and such. It was like a perfect storm for a "witch hunt" and people took advantage of what they could before it was put to a stop. As far as I know, Anne Putnam Jr is the only one to apologize for the role she played. PS, I can't prove it but I feel like I have ancestors in Salem.

i went to salem well over 20 yrs ago now.. stayed at the hawthorne.. I felt so connected to Salem and when i finally got there i went to the ann of green gables musuem and suffered a migraine and ended up sleeping the day away., When i woke up all my kids had a fever... so we went home. Def have to make my way back. ♥ love you guys!
The part where Kris said the alphabet reminded me of Cody and Satori's knocking thing that they did in the conjuring house Sam and Colby episodes.
Around 32:00, when the box said alphabet, that hit very hard after watching Sam and Colby's last few videos. I don't know when they filmed this in relation to each other but it feels connected to me, if nothing else because Kris and Celina are close to Sam and Colby. The universal connection feels strong between them all. Sent me some chills honestly.

Hey girliessss I don’t usually leave comments but I was born and raised in Salem and a few years ago historians were able to nail down a general area of where the hangings happened and it’s actually now a Walgreens on Boston Street, but there’s woods behind it that lead to Gallows Hill and the area has alwayyyysss felt super heavy. If you’re ever back in the area I would suggest checking it out!

Taylor, the porch could be symbolic in the broom. If you put a broom on your porch, depending on how it's facing invites guests, put a broom right side up (bristles down), you have an open door, and all visitors are welcomed. If you put a broom upside down (bristles up), it'll help ward away unwelcomed visitors.

They are often messengers and have been perceived as protectors, healers, familiars, and messengers. Important to note, Banshee lore traditionally only applies to 7 specific families in Ireland. It typically wouldn't apply to anyone outside of that. There were also many women who were accused of being witches who were drowned with stones, so it would make a lot of sense.

When using the Alice box in the cemetery, the words 'AU' and 'HIDDEN' came up in quick succession... they assumed 'AU' was the french word, but Au is also the chemical symbol for gold, so my mind immediately put the two words together as 'hidden gold'.

54:30 when it says water, they used to do what they called “witch swimming” I believe, it was a practice of tying up and dunking the accused into a body of water to determine whether they sink or float. It could be related 🤷🏻♀️
They'd tie a large stone to a woman accused of witchcraft and if she sank and drowned she was "normal" and if they floated they were a witch. They never floated.
I know I am really late on this. Wanna start by saying I love y'alls videos! In traditional Celtic and midieval lore, a Banshee was a living individual that would do the mourning for a family that was grieving. It was basically a job. Spiritually, that was passed along into being a spirit that was mourning your losses. Seen to be an omen of the "end" of something, be it life or a stage of life (quotes because the ending is always the beginning of something new), they weep or scream, crying out to symbolize the emotions of loss. Not a negative spirit, just a neutral one. And yes I know there are cultural differences, but across all boards the constant is usually along the lines of "Omen of loss or great sadness" or "Mourning the past so that the future can come through". Blessed be!

i really appreciate how much care and effort kris and celina put into uncovering the true history of these places and their spirit inhabitants. they may have fun and joke around too, but it’s clear that this is so much more than just ghost hunting for them
