It would be cool, but life counters GREATLY increase the editing time which I'm guessing is the reason why most people don't consistently use them, he'd have to shell out like $100 for all the extra time it would take his editor to do it.

Just program the computer to increase the death count by one every time the death jingle plays, and every time the accept/ok tone plays while "start over" is highlighted in the pause menu.
I'd do it, except I know nothing about programming.

So the trick to that last one is not to see how fast your brain can calculate but it is a test of how well do you remember the fun game of jump rope/double dutch (or even guitar hero). Heck all you have to do is move when you hear the beat and mimic the beat too. Looks like fun. :D
