    This is exactly what I love about this channel. Good sledding, maintenance and repairs all while keeping the videos interesting and keeping the video quality high. Can’t see why you only have 5k subs but I’m sure that will change.

      Thanks! Along with the sledding and crashing, there has to be some repairs too!

    Matt, great video. Very informative. I really liked your 2014 M Ltd. You schooled a lot of riders with it.
    Outclimbed the 2016 with a 3" track at Frisby. Taught Shaunie a thing or two about tree riding as well. Amazing thing, besides ski's and can, it's almost 100% stock. Brrraaaap!

    • @syxxes
      @syxxes  Před 6 lety +1

      If I were to keep the sled, about the only thing I would do to it is put in the 2016+ front end kit. Not so bad in the soft winter snow, but in the thicker spring snow I could tell that Ben's sled could hold a side hill a lot better than mine could.

      @deansikorski6596 Před 6 lety

      Syxxes Performance would you go 36" or 38" on the 2016 front end?

    Had some steering play at Frisby last year when the mounting plate for the steering post separated from the bulkhead... Difference being my steering post was moving left and right not just the handlebars lol. Got her tig welded and riveted up and it’s stronger than ever:)

    • @syxxes
      @syxxes  Před 6 lety

      I could feel mine going about half-way through the last day, and I knew that the bracket was on the way out!

    • @CalgaryDynastar
      @CalgaryDynastar Před 6 lety

      Mine had a bit of up and down play to start on the first day and by the fourth I found out I had broken A arm on the trail up and later that day the plate completely separated riding the ridge trail (which is pretty well always pounded out). Was a bit of an expensive trip but I replaced the old rusty upper and lower arms and got a beefier post mount out of it so it wasn't all bad. Hoping to get out after the caribou closures open up and enjoy some spring riding.

      It's a 12ft flat deck steal trailer. Can't remember the brand name, but has the onboard ramp and is built nice and tough to do anything we need it to. I think it was bought in Leduc.

    Good videos. Question for you..have you ever had issues with the telescoping handle bars staying in the low position? When I ride on the trail with mine down they end up popping up when I rip a wheelie. Any idea if they can be tightened?

    • @deansikorski6596
      @deansikorski6596 Před 6 lety

      Maine Trout Whisperer When adjusting your post, just push down on the tabs after adjustment. My 2010 HCR did the same thing.

      Dean Sikorski I’ll try that thanks! I just picked up a high country so I don’t have much seat time.

    • @syxxes
      @syxxes  Před 6 lety +2

      I have seen the mechanism itself wear out. They are prone to freezing, which could be part of your problem. I know it has happened to me, where the mechanism has frozen open. I'm trying to track down the part but I know I've seen a conversion adapter so that you can change that adjustable riser to a solid one without changing out the whole steering post.
      I'll be honest the adjustable riser doesn't do much for me. I set it to the height I like it and that's about it. It never really moves. Give the mechanism a smack down with your hand (Don't use a hammer) and make sure it is all locked up. You can also pop off the handle bars to expose the mechanism and pile a bunch of WD40 in there to help free things up. Units that have seen a lot of trailer time tend to get sticky.
      Hope that helps!

    • @syxxes
      @syxxes  Před 4 lety

      You can tilt them forward or back. I've only ever seen risers break if it also bent the handle bars.

    Matt, I have a build idea for you?? .....2018 M8000 Early Release, remove skid, shocks and 3" PC track.
    Install a new Alpha One skid/track under it, aftermarket skis, and can.
    Sell the new 3.0 pitch x 3" Powerclaw track and skid with Fox shocks, to one of your subscribers with a free install.
    Many Polaris riders like to upgrade to the 3.0 pitch/powerclaw too.
    New Alpha skid with shocks is about $3300 (less sale price of ER 3" track and skid).
    Then you have a one of..."Early Release Alpha" :)
