In Western Australia it is.
Some Stop signs at T intersections have enough visibility that many drivers treat them like a give way, only moving at a literal crawling pace, 0.5km/h or something. If you're wheels are turning even the slightest amount before pulling out you'll be booked.
Which is why u make sure the brake is at the floor before proceeding.

He stopped a guy going 117 in 110. That's way within tolerance and give the circumstances, it was utterly unnecessary.

Do you not realise that 110 is the upper limit? Not a suggestion, not roughly how fast you should be going, it's the maximum speed you can travel on that road.

Stop only means STOP if there’s cops nearby.
Sometimes a stop sign is there because of bad vision to the left. If you have good vision to the right and you are turning left, then it may be safe to roll through the stop sign. (The cops will still do you for it though.)

should follow police on facebook. For two months they posted pic after pic of people pulled over for just that.
Well if memory of that road serves (s)he was ~20% below the posted speed limit, and ~11% below the red P license limit, and being overtaken on a KLUO-marked road. I expect it wasn't just for a few seconds either given they hopped BACK into the wrong lane again.
But this is likely to be at least 50% the fault of the instructors too, who all too often break the same road rule.

Many drivers only slow down to a very slow crawl, like 0.5 - 1 km/h like at a give way sign. If you don't come to a COMPLETE stop at a stop sign and remain stationary for at least a couple of seconds you'll be booked.

My car speedo reads a few ks slow, so I set my cars cruise to 118, that reads as 113 according to the few billion dollars worth of satellites my GPS talks to.
No cop is coming out of the bushes for 3 ks over, I could probably set it to 121 and get away with it.. maybe ;)
I'm gonna trust the unbiased GPS system (which keeps planes and ships on course) a lot more than the 5 grand piece of plastic shit in the cops hands, who knows what kind of day he's had, or how far behind his quota he is..

Just rewatching. In my 46 years of driving I've only ever seen one Karma pullover. I was doing 100Km/h Canberra to Cooma and a guy blew past me doing g0d knows what speed. The lights went off and as he pulled over, (I passed him) he was banging his steering wheel as the Karma cop came up behind.

13:02 - They went through a red light haha, they were so distracted that the blew though a red light in front..(to the side)..of cops..Haha i love dash cams...Yes!..and dashcams Australia too.
They already passed the stop line before the light turned red (note the other lines on the road are for pedestrians and at places with multiple turn lanes to help drivers stay in their lane)
The audio in the vehicles on this is way happier and celebratory than in Dash Cam Truckers. Lol!

Yes, most states 1km over is still speeding, but there is a little give due to not ever speedo is accurately calibrated. Just got to get the right cop I guess.
@@doobee84 I've never heard of 1km over being an issue. In fact I remember like 9news or one of those actually enquired about this from each state's police force and most came back with around a 3km/h leeway. Given the car's speedo for most city speeds is about 2-3km/h slower, 5 over is a safe speed for cruise control
5km/h+ over the limit is a ticket. They can technically get you for less but you can fight those tickets. The speed limit is just that here, a limit on how fast you can and should go. So doing over 60 in a 60 zone isn't a good idea.
eric ray I didn’t say they give the 1km over tickets, but yes legally speeding is speeding and if you get an asshole cop, they’ll give it to you. I know in Queensland they don’t need radars. They can guesstimate your speed and fine you based on their perception, just got to fight it in court.
