When you realize 2020 was terrible because Chris’ first coaster of the year was The Big Apple Coaster
It was mine too lol
Damn, Called out... At least some people got a first coaster of 2020
It started all of this
My first coaster of 2020 was.... nothing. Because I haven't ridden a coaster since October 17th :(
Thinking about it, my last Coaster was Wicked Twister....
I have a video idea for you: My Perfect Park. No space limitations. you can put new or existing rides in your park, themed lands, and the name of your park.
No
Planet coaster then .
pika productions XD no not really

lmao that’s my home park!😂
Hahahaha thats honestly the most terrifying part, you look down and the only thing beneath you is a giant slab of concrete 😂
Thats also true for Apollos chariot
Oh wait maby not
I chuckled at that point too. 😄
Anyone who couldn’t afford one, got an slc.
Have you lost loved ones to the slc? You may be entitled for financial compensation. By six flags adding a super loop instead of a kiddie ride to your park for no extra cost! If you don’t get a super loop, you’ll get an s&s freespin.
What about great adventure el Diablo in 2015 and the joker in 2016 Rip el Diablo it’s in a park that deserves it La ronde
Let its front entrance stays live on with jersey devil
I’ve only ridden raptor and patriot but I think you have a good list. Thanks for the great videos!
Or, you’ll get both like SFGam or SFGad for an example
Also, Cedar Point got a contracted "Zone of Exclusivity" with Raptor. For a certain number of years, parks within 300 Miles couldn't build a B&M invert. This is probably why Canada's wonderland (228mi.) and Kings island (170mi) didn't receive a B&M but Williamsburg (435mi) did

Love seeing Banshee at Number 2.....Wish so much I could have rode Dueling Dragons. Awesome List !!!!
Prefer Slc’s
Way smoother
Always custom designs
And the airtime you get on that lift hill is insane
T3 is daddy
:)
Ha :)
OOF MODZZ ☑️ my fave part is the lift hill
@@felipezuniga2885 my favorite part is when you get off the SLC, it's so intense and pulls so much G's it's crazy
Montu and Afterburn try to rip your face off. That's why they're my favorite.
@Dominik id definitely say so. one of my fav rides of all time
Alpiengeist just try’s to rip you legs of in first half… then second half Right after the corkscrew put you to sleep
I got to give Montu thumbs 👍 up for being the #1 invert in the USA. Better than Raptor, Banshee and Alpengeist. Riding this ride in those trenches did it for me. The pull out on every element in those trenches are so forceful. But the elements like the zero g roll is so graceful. It feels like a long ride. It's like B&M made the perfect invert and it went to the perfect park. You go Busch Gardens Tampa. I know you are striving for the best rides especially when you open Iron Gwazi. You got the best drop tower besides the new one at the park in Orlando and Drop zone at kings Island. All you need now is a top tie hyper or Giga coaster, a few more flat rides and a top tier single rail coaster and you will be my favorite theme park. Thanks Busch Gardens Tampa.
@@ericspwncer1274 My favourite is Nemesis, such a fun, great ride with the terrain element
Love Montu!
I´m so happy you added Dueling Dragons to this list. To this day it breaks my heart that Universal scrapped those in favor of the Hagrid's coaster - I know it fits better the theme of the Wizarding World, but still, it's sad that the dragons had such a short life. Montu is my all time favorite coaster, so it was great to see it on top!! Awesome video, congrats!!
As much as I enjoy Hagrids (which is a lot, love that coaster), I feel very regretful for not riding Dueling Dragons. I missed my chance!!
Tampas my home park and I'm so happy I get to ride Montu everytime I go, so hyped for Gwazi
My fave is Montu also
Same tampas mine to im in orlando
Ditto!
i wish dragon challenge was relocated even if it was to 2 different parks
You can’t separate twins. It’s cruel.
me too i miss those coasters
Imagine the possibilities of what Cedar Fair or Six Flags could of placed the ride at.
GMDVinny Universal’s decision to scrap Dueling Dragons (I refuse to call it Dragon Challenge) ruined B&M’s perfect track record of no demolished rides. To this day, Dueling Dragons is the only B&M coaster to ever be completely scrapped.
Right?? When I first heard him place Ice, I thought it had been relocated to another park for a second.
You should do a video on:
Top coasters that have been relocated
Top cloned coasters
Top coasters of a certain color
The relocated one is actually on ny short list
I like the colours idea
Top cloned coasters are obv SLCs
(I’m dying writing this)
Anyone who couldn’t afford one got an SLC

The roar on the straight section of Great Bear before the Immelmann sounds like a bear it changes which is very cool
I’m a FL resident (previously a Universal passholder) here to confirm that the Chinese Fireball track for Dragon’s Challenge was indeed better than the Hungarian Horntail track. It packed such a strong punch, and that airtime hill over the other track’s zero-G roll was one of my favorite elements ever. If I only had time to ride one of them during a visit, I would always pick the fireball. I was seriously upset to see them go.
Ditto!🥺🥺
The trenches on Montu add a foot-chopper effect, similar to head-choppers on traditional coasters. Totally worth it if riding in the front. Although you logically know it was built high enough to prevent contact, it is still nerve-racking and you reflexively want to pull your feet up. Also, the coaster is straight up intense and the theming is top-notch.
"It starts with a great view of the parking lot." Hey that sold it for me. LOL
Love your videos.
What do parking lots feel?
It's Takoda from Coaster Studios
Dosware Pictures what?
Alpengeist was the coaster that got me into all this mess, and I'll always have a big soft spot for it (and B&M inverts as a whole, tbh) because of that
My first invert was Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa.
My favorites:
Three-way tie for first:
Afterburn - best pacing
Montu - most forceful (by far!)
Black Mamba - best visual experience
Two tied for most underrated:
Great Bear - best night ride
Talon - best combination of intensity and pure smoothness

I remember I rode the Blue Dueling Dragon as my first ever "Big Boi" Coaster when i went to the states, While i love coasters now i cried like a baby during it and had my eyes closed for the whole ride as well, only opened them (somehow) for the dueling parts, you can imagine my scared face
Mateo Cuellar I was the same way. I would cry every time I forced to stand in line for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (my first big coaster BTW) at Disneyland. My mom would tell me to close my eyes on the ride. Closing my eyes helped me conquer my fear by the time I was 12 and on the Disney World version of the same ride no less 😂. Now I love riding roller coasters and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad continues to bring big smiles to my face 😃 instead of tears.
Even though Great Bear isn’t my home coaster it has a special place in my heart ever since my first time at the park as a little kid

An inverted invert coaster
Phantom Gamer holy shit boys, we got new technology!
Did you mean: Axis Coaster?
Absolutely love Montu!! First coaster I run to whenever I get a chance to visit Busch Gardens TB!! Soon it’ll be the second coaster I run to after Iron Gwazi opens up lol
Talon: 75% of its inversions at the beginning
Black Mamba: gotta boost those numbers, these are rookie numbers
"What a beast."
No, the Beast is that other ride at Kings Island.
Batman clones are underrated.
Up I agree
100% they’re mid-top tier
True. I loved the SFMM clone and a few more. But Montu, as Chris says, is really the best. It deserves it. But also Batman: The Ride gets on my Top 5.
Not really. They don’t do too much and the others do more
I thought they were too short to be good, but the only one i have ridden is at great adventure and it has a TERRIBLE setting. Plus, I waited over 2 hours for it so I had a hard time enjoying it.
Been on Talon, alpangeist, great bear, Chinese fireball and Montu. Honestly Liked Alpangeist the most.
Thank you
Yes! I thought Alpengeist should be higher on the list
Unfortunately with some coaster enthusiasts if there’s any type of trim break or mid-course break during the ride, it’s a turn off. But I definitely think Alpengeist should’ve been higher on the list.
yesss alpengeist
Alpengeist when those breaks aren't turned up blows through the back end and it's wonderful.
You're top 4 is literally the only 4 I've ridden lol. Definitely can't argue with your placement either, but I'd put Banshee at #1 just because Kings Island is my home park. I rode Afterburn for the first time just 3 years ago (that was actually my second visit to Carowinds after one in 2003). And then I rode Montu 2 years ago. Both of those I thought were amazing as well. Out of all of Kings Island's recent additions, I was most excited for Banshee. I wanted a KI invert ever since I rode Raptor for the first time in like 2006, but I always thought that was a "next level" kind of ride we'd never get...but now we have that, and our own giga.
Me: holy crap Airtime Thrills hearted my comment😱
Also me: *looks at literally every comment*
It’s like saying you were Time Magazine’s Person of the Year in 2006.
Trust me, you feel more accomplished when he doesn’t. 😂
Alpengeist should be higher. It's such a good ride. That brake area doesn't usually slow down that much.
Happy to see you ranked Montu as #1. I grew up in Tampa with busch gardens as my home park and must have ridden it 100+ times. What I find a shame though is the that in the past decade or so they have been trimming the train's speed entering the batwing, and also have significantly increased the breaking force applied at the MCBR. If you search for the opening day footage from 1996(it's on youtube), you can see that neither of these things are in place and the result is the single most intense coaster experience I have yet to encounter. It's not all doom and gloom though, they do occasionally turn off the trim and the MCBR still. If you are ever in Florida during the cooler months of about November-March, take a trip to Busch Gardens. You might just luck out and get the holy grail on North American coaster experiences.
Batman the Ride is underrated. Change my mind.
True to that
Batman The Ride paved the way for one of the most popular coaster models that Six Flags loves to clone
S&S 4D Freespin
Which one? Lol
@Alec Bailey people often gloss over due to the fact that it's been cloned so much, but when you really look at the big picture, it could probably be a Top 10 Invert.
@@simplestu9449 fr. If this wasn't cloned, it would easily be top 5
Afterburn is/will always be my #1. Back when B&M designed thrilling, unique, force-filled, snappy coasters; how I miss the old days.
Great Bear is criminally underrated
For real. That final corkscrew gave me whiplash the last time I rode it.
I am so glad you made this! Inverts are my absolute favorite model from B&M with the sheer intensity and just all around fun that their layouts brings. Afterburn’s batwing element was simply incredible to experience from the back row and can’t wait to ride the remainder of the inverts I’m missing on my to ride list!
It’s an absolute shame that more inverts don’t have that batwing. It’s the sole element that puts Montu ahead of Raptor for me. It’s just out of this world intense.
I looooove to see Montu getting the respect it deserves!! It is easily the best invert I have ever ridden and is very underrated especially for how smooth it is after 25 years. My 2nd favorite coaster of all-time! 😍
Anyone else think Raptors double helix is one of the best positive G Force moments in the park?
it is very powerful, i love it. best element on Raptor
When I rode it in 2018, it blew me away. Second ride of the day, and I already knew it would be top 5 at least.
Chris, I'm watching an entire 1:32 midroll ad right now to make sure you get your coin. You're one of two channels I do that for. You're just that good.
Really cool you did this while they are building the next B&M invert. Can't wait to see the finished product. Some awesome looking track pieces at the fabricator right now. Thanks for all the great content.
I swear. Airtime Thrills and Dude Perfect always upload at the same time

This guy puts out great content regularly. The community really needs to show its love for this guy! Thank you for all the great videos!
Thank you for this video. Inverts are probably my favorite coaster type and it was great to see the US ones featured. Have a wonderful day!
I’m glad people in the comments are finally getting over the terrible “Batman sucks cause it’s a clone” opinion
I’ve been on two inverts, one of which was a Batman clone: Batman at SFGA and Talon at Dorney Park. While Talon was superior I still think Batman is a great coaster and one of my favorites at Great Adventure.
"and the final inversion, a corkscrew"
-Airtime Thrills like 30 times
Now take a shot every time he says that. Now your health insurance comes into play nicely.
Carowinds is my home park, and Afterburn is go-to for re-rides. It's tucked away in the back and rarely has long lines, and is just an absolute blast. I marathoned it last time I went and I never get tired of it. I'm glad you showed it some love!
Worlds of Fun was my intro to roller coasters back in the mid-70's - I was like 10-13 at the time. Loved it, still love those coasters.
Good content never gets boring. Keep up the content. Did you know that Velocicoaster will maybe be an Intamin Blitz multi-launch coaster?! 😮😲😯 As you know... if CZcams notifyies your video, I am already there. I love your content more than any other.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Raptor since it was the one that turned me into a fan of coasters. While I have certainly been on better coasters, it will always be a sentimental favorite because of being my first major coaster.

Montu: I mentioned the use of trenches before
Nemesis: (waiting for you to ride)
Great list, when I rode Raptor for the first time, I was expecting to be trimmed pretty hard on the mid-course so I was totally unprepared when the train rolled right through, the transition to the right afterward was nuts and that second half was awesome.
Loved the video and great list, the only B&M inverted coaster that I have ridden was Batman the Ride at Six Flags Over Georgia but all of the other B&M inverts on your list look so fun!!! Keep up the good work can't wait to see more videos!!!
Finally, someone else who prefers Raptor over Afterburn. Afterburn is just too short of a ride for me. I’ve always said that Afterburn with a real second half would be my favorite invert, and that was proven when I rode Montu for the first time. But going back to Raptor: it’s long, extremely intense, and has an awesome setting. I’ve ridden 112 coasters at several large parks (CP, KI, BGT, BGW, SWO, SFMM, Carowinds, etc), and Raptor is still a top ten coaster for me, and my second favorite at Cedar Point, my home park.
I like Raptor, but the final brakes just kill it for me. It's the second harshest stoppage on a coaster where my feet are free (the first being the rollover on T3, which feels like a car crash).
I AM SO GLAD YOU COMMENTED THIS YOUR SO RIGHT! I love raptor and I hear a lot of people say it’s a good ride I like everything about it and it’s pretty smooth for a almost 30
Year old coaster and I know this was 3 years ago but I totally agree raptor never gets any credit!
You really can’t go wrong with any invert. Even the Batman’s
The Batman’s are so underrated because they’re clones, they have really strong layouts and are so forceful
You really make fantastic videos! Thanks for your hard work! 👍😊
My sister and I both used to work at Busch Gardens Tampa and they had a staff only event for the opening of Cheetah Hunt. They only had the front part of the park open and were running the new ride but they were also running Montu that evening. They must've been running it fast or something because it was the most fun and intense ride I've ever had on a coaster. Gave me a big headache, but I had a huge smile on my face.. Thanks for the video, brought back some good memories. : )
Anyone notice that all the inverted coasters at Kings island are in one corner?
Action Zone, more like Invert Zone, amirite?
Weird truth
Always been an interesting corner of the park for different/experimental rides. Screamin' Demon, King Cobra, Son of Beast. Not my top rides in the park ever, and usually the last part of the park I'll visit, but usually something interesting over there!
You should do your top 20 favorite B&M coasters
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ADDING THE INFORMATIONS IN METERS AND KPH!!
Top Gun (Flight Deck) was my first inverted coaster, and the theming felt so great back then. Short but sweet is the perfect summation. On less busy days we would ride it back to back to back
When your home park has the original invert...
Alpengeist deserves way higher, it’s basically an inverted hyper and intense as hell
B&M Inverts helped me get over my fear of roller coasters. The first one, which also happened to be my first roller coaster, was Raptor at Cedar Point. I still need to ride Montu and Banshee, but they are one of my favorite coaster types for a reason.
Cheers, Chris!
Nice to see Alpie getting some love! I personally rank it over Raptor since it has a slightly weaker layout, but has one of the best settings of any invert in the world. When the MCBR is weak, that second half is crazy whippy. It’s also the coaster I’ve ridden the most, so it has sentimental value for me
15:37 it’s not a zero G roll, it’s an in-line twist
Ohhhh just you wait till ya ride nemesis :)
I remember reading coaster reviews back in the 90s that lauded the Ice side of Dueling Dragons for “The wall,” the additional near miss provided by the cobra roll. But my friends and I preferred the fire side even as GP tweens. Didn’t hurt that there was basically no line for Fire so we could marathon it.
Finally! Someone who appreciates afterburn, that is my first and favorite invert out there followed by banshee and then raptor
Honestly your face really matches your voice
Banshee’s final inversion is an in-line twist not a zero g roll isn’t it?
I completely agree I went on montu and it was just amazing, especially when you do the Immelmann, Zero-G roll and the batwing back to back
These are some of my favorite coasters. It would be incredible to see what could happen in the future.
Unpopular opinion: only inverts better than Batman clones are Montu and banshee
I’d say they are 5th, raptor and afterburn are superior
I’m suprised Dueling Dragons wasn’t themed to Mortal Kombat. Fire: Scorpion & Ice: Sub-Zero
That would’ve been cool!
Warner Bros. Owns rights to MK not universal that would have been really cool tho
@@Jazz_593 Mortal kopyright infringement
i rode talon a couple weeks ago and it was ripping through the layout! i love the final corkscrew because it sneaks up on you, and that final turn is sick!
Nice Ranking. I'm excited to ride Montu for the 1st time this November!
When you named great inverts in Europe and Asia you forgot oziris at parc asterics
Apparently no one likes it but idk why
I haven’t ridden that yet, but it looks cool. Don’t think it would be top 10 inverts this but I won’t know until I ride it. I’m pretty sure that’s the only one I haven’t ridden.
Do B&M hypers in the us
Yes the second this! And include Candymonium
I pretty much agreed/called this list until the end. When Banshee got 2nd, i was like whaaaaaa?!? But I haven't ridden Montu in a long time and it was my favorite before Banshee. Hopefully I'll get to ride it again this winter and re-evaluate. But I absolutely love the vest restraints on Banshee and it is soooooo smooth. And that zero g roll at the end, is sooo epic. So i'll be surprised if Montu can retake 1st but we'll see. As always great video and great editing. PS If you take Dueling Dragons as 1 combined coaster experience, it makes it #1 and all the more tragic. Thank you for including it in the list.
Now here is the thing about Afterburn. You can hear the roar of that coaster all the way up at the main entrance of the park. You can tell it’s not Fury or Intimidator. That roar is coming all the way from the back of the park.
Don’t get me wrong nemesis is really good, it’s in my top 5 coasters in the UK but it’s so overrated
It looks fairly overrated. Black Mamba, Katun, and Pyrenees look better imo
@@SmileBullet nemesis is just as good
Lee Bicker it looks amazing but not like, an S tier invert
@@SmileBullet I think it is overrated but is still an amazing ride, just how it hugs the ground and is quite intense. I think the vertical loop and the zero g roll are tied for best element on it.
only your top 5? Please enlighten me as to what's above Nemesis in that list...
Definitely agree with your top 5. Great info and list. And living in Orlando I really miss Dragon Challenge...what a great coaster(s). Thnx for the vid.
This is the list i’ve been waiting for!!! Yes!
This is the list I've been waiting for!
Once again, great minds think alike. I did my B&M invert countdown video last week. We have the same top 2. I knew you liked Raptor a lot more than me, as I'm not tall enough to avoid headbanging on it, but I'll give it another try next time I'm there. I became a huge fan of Flight Deck after getting on it last Halloween, and I was surprised that it became my 3rd favorite.
Montu ftw! I remember when that ride first opened. Such a great ride. Busch Gardens doesn’t get new coasters often but when they do it’s a good one.
Just rode afterburn on a night ride, without a doubt my favorite invert now, the batwing is so intense and the underground moments in the dark are intense as well
The visual of the loop around the lift hill on Banshee is awesome. I did a little comparison of the layout for Son of Beast and Banshee. Both loops are at the same physical location and approximately the same dimensions. The Son of Beast’s loop was 10 ft taller. Just something I found interesting.
I remember being in the back row on Raptor. Fun times. The break run didn’t slow us down at all so I was just being whipped around. It was so fun.
I've been on the Batman clones, Fire and Ice, Montu, and Top Gun. Top Gun was the first ever "big" coaster I rode as a child (not counting Demon). It's short, but it is definitely intense, and the last helix over the water is one of my all time favorite elements on any coaster I've ever ridden. The setting, speed, and intensity combine for a truly special ride experience.
I was worried that Montu was over hyped but when I finally got around to riding it I found that it completely earned its title as the best in the states. Great video as always!
I love Great Bear! It’s my second favorite invert! (Favorite being Banshee)
Great Bear really is intense! It’s my favorite ride at Hersheypark park surprisingly! Plus with its quirks it makes it feel unique!
You feel like you are going way faster than you may think probably because it starts with a helix then the first drop! The first half feels like I’m riding a airplane going berserk!
