I feel sorry for anyone who was not around in the 90's. I was a high schooler. That was an awesome time for R & B groups.
I feel the pain Jodeci being my favorite rnb group. man oh man wish I could experience them fresh on the scene 😕😭😩
I wish I was older. I was only a kid
What a great time for R&B
same here 90's music was the best high school soundtrack
All Facts!!!
"Don't Walk Away" was and still is my jammy jam!
Mines too ! I miss the 90's .
YESSSSS MA'AM!!

En Vogue, Brownstone and Jade were three of the best during that era

I still have Jade's album. I like how they had different skin complexions and personalities.
Their skin tones are very congruent they are on the lighter to light skin end of the spectrum.
@@dugebuwembo stop bringing up skin color y'all irritating AF with that and colorist.
@@shaeholland2874 I was replying to the post, they had similar skin shades...
Jade CD was truly lit. It's one of the only CD's that I can put on play and not skip any songs. I still play it
Free just pulled mine out 4got I had it
While listening to Anita Baker yesterday, whose songs I can listen to back to back, I said "she's one of the few artists whose songs you ditn have to skip". It takes a special artist and a special album to achieve that.
Front to Back and put on replay🎵🎶🎵💃💃❤
@@kayshawnsimmons6822 definitely
@@donnab2440 I have the first album.
The 90s was the best times for R&B and hip hop. Not to mention Girl groups. Don’t walk away. Was such a hit.
Joi was my sister's friend from highschool. The business is super grimey, modern day slavery.
How are they doing now?
Old skool slavery and pimping👹🤛
Sad, but true. On the bright side, I remember the early '90s as a time in which a few artists spoke more of controlling their material and proactively managing their careers.
Their style alone is a whole Vibe...
Jade was surely underrated! Those vocals, their sound and vibe was everything. “Jade to the Max” is still in heavy rotation for me✨🎙🎵✨
I appreciate u did on Jade.90s is been year of girl groups.

I absolutely loved Jade when I was growing up 😊
Man.... give me back the 90's. . . Everything was good... music/ family/ food/humanity ♥
A GREAT time to be young. And men still acted and dressed like MEN
I am so happy I grew up in the 90's. Grade school, middle school and high school...TAKE ME BACK! The music was everything and it still is :)
they definitely don't get brought up enough. great harmony, beautiful, great songs, and sexy.
I loved them. . . .at the time . But their sound is very dated. They need to let it go.
I’ve fallen in love with this channel.
Super late; but same here! I’ve been legitimately binging her videos since 4pm today 😂 (it’s almost 8:30)
I’m binging. Amazing.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I always wondered what happened to them. They were literally here one day and gone the next. When young folks enter into the entertainment industry, they should be required to take business/money management classes (similar to what they now do with players in the NFL). Thanks so much for the update...
They contributed to making the '90s so much fun and so fashionable. Don't walk away as one of my best. I used to sing the hell out of it 🤗👸🏾👸🏾👸🏾 I understand thanks for the memories girls 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾good luck and God bless 🙌🏾
Don’t Walk Away by Jade, Feels Good by Tone Toni Tony, and Poison by Bel Biv Devoe- R&B songs that have the best bass in the 80s/90s
Feels Good is still in my rotation.
I used to try and wear the rolled down shorts. And my mama would get onto me for being too grown 😭😭
I feel you!😂
Back when parents were real parents and not trying 2 our friends...
😂😂😂 Our moma's didn't play back then. For my moma, I couldn't sing Thanks for my Child by Cheryl Pepsi Riley.
@@learntocrochet3952 lol mamas didn't play about children being grown
@@mokie723 ikr! Good memories though.
I wonder if we will ever see an explosion of r&b girl groups again like we did in the 90s. I attribute it to En Vogue's success. But curious about other reasons people think these girl groups had a renaissance in the 90s.
In general I wonder what happened to girl groups. Hard to remember the last group to make a big splash - Pussycat Dolls?
Take 6 resuscitated acapella singing in the late 80s for a younger generation. At that time they were in there 20s. En Vogue came behind them. Then here comes an explosion of male and female groups throughout the 90s. En Vogue and Take 6 are still intact today and still performing.
Little Mix
@@marissawilson4644 Internationally yes, but believe it or not they haven't had any hit singles in the US, their highest charting single was #67 on billboard
So true David Howe.
we wont, rnb in those days was always about songs that made you genuinely feel..these days not so much, there will never be a musical era like the 80s or 90s
This needs to be a biopic movie right there and my mother used to play the hack out of their songs .
A biopic? I'm not really. They weren't THAT big.
So damn glad I'm a 90s baby with siblings born early 80s 💯🔥 grew up on that real rnb 💜💯
Joi, Di, and Tonya...Jade Precious Jewel in group. I still love these Ladies I wish BET Listening Party would have release their Awesome Live performance on VHS. One of a kind they are all thriving today. I miss the 90's.
Man I remember them as a kid This song is still a hit... Still playing in 2021
"Don't Walk Away" is one of my all time favorite songs.
Jade was one of my favorite 90's groups. Real R&B sangers!!!
They always made an appearance in The Inkwell signing “dance machine “ by the Jackson’s they sounded good 🎼
Oh tht was them?
I remember that part!!!!
They sung Marvin Gays song too in the movie Inkwell.
@@l.c.1704 Yup! Let's Get It On, if I remember correctly
Both of JADE's albums were classics, but when you've got that one certified, guaranteed crossover hit! That's all you need. The 90's were so good that they gave a lot of black artists that one hit that allows them to be featured on compilations to this day and keep them mainstream as well as in people mouths.
The 90's were hard musically because everything was good with few misses, and everyone was really talented... unlike now.
Memories of high school dang I miss the 90’s!!!
It's good to hear that they ended up happy, and successful. Good job.
I loved JAde! I used to rock the JAde braids, too🤩 .
It so sad that talented groups like them, as well as TLC and En Vogue were all dogged by dodgy contracts that ended their careers but then made to look by the media like bitchy girls that couldn't get along. The music industry is vicious!!
Awww Tanya is my step sister I haven't seen her in years since we moved to LA. Good job
Don’t Walk Away...was the JAM!!!
I still listen to them 💝
We need an Unsung episode!!!!!
Omg omg Yesss so happy to see this always wondered what happened to them
Daaaamn!! I so loved these girls. After En Vogue they were my next favorite girl group. Anyone going into this business needs to learn the business. I mean mismanagement of funds and not totally understanding contracts seems to be a common denominator with so many artists.
I still listen to Dont Walk Away ... Woooo its a whole jam.
Don't Walk Away is my favorite by them to this day.
Thank you sooooo much for this!😀
Thank you for clearly up their break up for me. I always thought it was because they didn't like each other.
I hate record companies. They have it set up where they poor tons of money into an artist and that artist has to pay it all back. Their contracts are loans.
I wish artists would stop using the record labels lawyers and hire their own outside business counsel to understand what the record company is doing to them.
It's the same story over and over and over again of not being paid. They need someone who is an advocate for the artists financial interests.
I'm happy they're doing well and happy.
Jade first album was classic they was the best looking group to out the 90s
Envogue was the best looking one for me.
You should listen to they're 2nd album as well.. straight 🔥🔥🔥
@@shonda79able definitely En Vogue.
Thank you for getting to the root. I love these ladies
Don’t walk away it’s the most 90’s song ever! This is when people wore every color jeans, clear Pepsi was out, cross colors, Karl kani 🔥
Ima 80s 90s baby all day!! Best of the best.... Times
Giant Records had a lot of artists on there like Color Me Badd, Tara Kemp, Lord Finesse, Hammer, Jeremy Jordan, Letters to Cleo, Big Mountain, Ahmad, Miki Howard, just to name a few

The same here, that's why I am super grateful for shows like this, it allows you to catch up with your favorite artists from back in the day. I am super appreciative to the individual who created this program.
I am glad to see all of the group members are doing well ❤️
I loved them as a kid, I wanted all of their hairstyles and clothes. Their voices was bananas, the girl groups and women singers used to sing! Smh
Everything they wore turned into a fad.

Jade, you have a lot of fans. If anything, the ladies can tour. People would definitely come out to see them.
Fun childhood memories when I listen to their music
really enjoying these what happened to videos
Much more to come!
Do a "What happened to Cold Premiere." They were on Giant records with Jade and Color me badd. And they were in the kid and play movie Class Act.
These ladies stayed playing on my stereo everyday 🥰😻😻💯👑💐❤
All of those girl groups back in the 90s should do some kind of US tour together. (as it relates to this subject matter, what all these ladies should have done as well as anybody else looking to be in the music is quite simple, read the damn contracts, if you can’t understand the language in them, just simply hire yourself an attorney)
Call it LADIES NIGHT!
Omg I remember buying their album on cassette tape. How times change lol.
I love Don’t Walk Away! It came out when I was born
I LOVED them! Looking for Mr. Do Right and Every day of the Week are still on heavy rotation
The Jam was 5...4...3...2... Yo time is up.
i always wanted braids and boots like theirs. so so pretty!
“Don’t Walk Away” was a classic joint in the early 1990’s….
Just accidentally discovered this channel. This is my whole fucking childhood right here.
0:42 Shocked me, I've never met/heard of anyone with my name lol great video I like their music
“Don’t Walk Away” gets me hype every time.

I never forget that cassette tape was all I wanted for Christmas 🎄
I miss listening to the music of Jade. Such beautiful ladies.
So sad to hear of record labels constantly ripping off artists! Its horrible!!
I miss the 90s so much. 😢
