Whoa. It's pretty clear this inspired a lot of what is in Starfox. Just amazing.
It amazes me seeing where we came from and where we are today in terms of graphics ..... on smartphones
hope to having a remaster of this but with realtime graphics
This is visually stunning for 1984. It must have taken forever to prerender these shaded polygons. It also was nearly a decade before StarFox which seems to have borrowed heavily from this game.
Yes. And for 1984, that's impressive. The credits indicate that this was created on the following hardware:

a vague mix of imagery with influences from the last starfighter, starwars, and tron
Agreed. And quite possibly The Lawnmower Man
this looks so cool for its time. I wasnt made yet lol.
also reminds me of the first Tron movie alott. thx for uploading
Thanks for this, never seen this laserdisk game working
Is there a way to emulate this? Sadly I suspect not but it looks a really interesting game (Seen the actual MSX overlay / game on another channel.). This is a good example of less being more graphically than something technically more impressive these days. It's not a game I have seen before but one I would love to see a remake of, hopefully someone has the ability to AI upscale and clean this up still further to 4K.
viiiiiibes
C'est magnifique comment avez-vous fait pour émuler ?
I exported video materials from a LaserDisc image and processed them in a video editor.
2:24 So is Orphe One a direct descendant of Earth's ancient Cray-1 supercomputers?
Shame on you, Silicon Graphics!
