After my terrible Blade 200 SRX experience, I was done with Blade's non-quad products. My wife bought me one of these and I'm happy she did. They hit a homerun with this one.
Bruce Burkland About half of the 200 SRX's experience rear rotor failures in flight. The boom is too narrow so they use wire with too thin of insulation and they short regularly. I eventually rewired mine with better wires outside of the boom to solve the problem but not before spending a fortune on replacement parts. Blade's customer service was no help either. They didn't believe me, even when I sent them video.
Other than a short flight time and the sudden landing gear busting drop to the ground as the voltage regulator shuts it off, I love the precision and ease in flight. If you can fly a 6 axis chopper, you will want it with you to fly almost everywhere. Next generation of batteries, (glass-pack lipo) should get longer flights. Worth the money for this cool bird. Advise: Time the first 3 flights of each battery over grass until you know the cut-off point so you can land where you chose and not replace landing gear after 2 flights.
hi hope you're doing well and you're still out here… So many years later but a friend of mine gave me the blade nano S 3… Nice guy. It came with the stock transmitter but 10 minutes later I got rid of that and I'm using DX 6i wow big difference.... But I'm here to say your video is a really cool and I like it I'm the same skill level as you when you flew when you made this video. I really like the video good job
In Normal mode on mine the throttle will move the cyclic but the motor won’t spook up. Also the right stick has no effect on the cyclic. No pitch or roll. But in Sport 1 or Sport 2 everything works correctly is this normal. Or do I need to reprogram something. Thank you.
Always liked the blade series but I always hear people having problems with them but I don't know. I heard before you're liking the XK series, they're building up a little group of heli's maybe worth a look at! Though I guess you don't want any more collective heli's if you never flick the idle switch haha. Great vid yo!
Eh, maybe. The fact that is has 6-axis stabilization does make it easy to fly, but being a CP heli makes it more advanced that I'd usually suggest for beginners. You may want to start with an FP heli with 6-axis, like one of the Hisky models I have reviewed.
hey buddy, is this little bird any better than the Nano cpx in any ways besides the beginner mode? little blade helis are soo strong because the canopy is like a crunchable nose cone while the cp s has a loaded canopy and will be the only thing available
+Noah Lenihan, I have one and its really good. One warning, though. If you see that the Heli goes crazy, try with another battery. Not sure what it is, but this NCPS has fried two of my batteries. You might think it's the mother board, but it is not.
Unfortunately there simply is no such thing. There are hundreds of protocols on this hobby, and most of them are proprietary, so there is no one radio to control them all.
can someone recommend me a quadcopter that has fpv, 5.8ghz transmitter (no wifi or phone apps), at least 720p camera(with sd card slot), doesnt have a shaky camera and is under 150 euro. if someone can find one for me i would be very thankful
Hello, thank you for this review. I wanted to ask you which copter do you think is better because there is a $40 difference in price the Nano or the blade 70s copter? Which is better because the 70s is $40 cheaper? Thank you
What do you mean by "better"? That is a relative term, so I'd have to know what things are "better" to you. The main difference would obviously be that the Nano CP S is a collective-pitch (3D) helicopter, and the 70s is not. The 70s is also smaller, and really only good for indoors. Are you going to be flying indoors only?
The 70s also comes with the remote and battery and charger and safe but both come with safe seems to be same both same size but the nano is bnf no batteries or charger why the $40 different price? Thank you
Flyin' Ryan RC no I wanted to fly outdoors, so I would want the nano for the extra flight capability and to fly outdoors and the nano is bigger correct? Thank you
That's kind of like asking a parent to pick their favorite child. ;) Flying is my main passion, so it would definitely be an air vehicle, and I guess I would say quads are my current favorite... they are just so peaceful and fun to fly, and I prefer to fly casually than doing a bunch of crazy stressful stunts, etc. :)
Nice flying there :) do you keep all the copters and drones that you are flying with in these videos? Like a "drone/copter room"? Just like a gamer collect games? :P haha
I keep the ones I really like, but I don't have enough storage room for all of them any more, so I've been giving away a lot of them locally, to friends and family. :)
Yep, check out my videos on the Blade 200 SR X for a bigger 6-axis heli. And they have some newer 3D models in bigger sizes, with 6-axis, but I don't think I will be reviewing any of those.
that's cool I used to fly the coaxial helies, will these new ones be as easy to fly ? when your flying forward and let the stick go does the chopper still fly forward a lot or does it slow down fast... I remember a long time ago trying to learn single blade and those things just glided around like a hockey puck on ice I gave up on those!
They are close to as easy to fly as a coaxial, but a bit harder mainly because of their ability to fly fast. They do auto-level, but it's not immediate. It's a lot like flying a quadcopter, basically. :)
+Flyin' Ryan RC can you do a review of the World tech toys hercules helicopter because this is my first rc helicopter and I dont relly know any thing about it. (not nano or the small one not the mega one or spy also) I like your videos keep it up and I rilly need your advice to this rc
I am not rich, but I make decent money. But, a lot of what I review is sent to me for free to review, so I don't buy every single model you've seen me review. ;) I did buy this Nano CP S though.
Nah, that just looks like an overpriced Syma X5C clone, and World Tech Toys is notorious for making bad RCs. So, I only review their stuff when it is really unique and original, like their flying action figures that I have reviewed.
Yep! I have even filmed the flight reviews for them. They are just waiting on the table top review section to be filmed. The 120S is a bit of a tank... not really as good as I was expecting. And the Zeyrok is cool. It's no speed demon, but it flies great, just like most Blade quads do. Video isn't stellar, but it's about on par with the Syma X5C, etc. And it has Stagility mode, which allows for easy manual stunts, which is pretty cool. :)
+Flyin' Ryan RC I have a zeyrok and it's great, but how does it compare to the 200srx. I want something different and more power, but I'm not 100% with the 200QX as I already have a few quads.
The 200 QX is still my absolute favorite quad, so I have a hard time not suggesting it for any experienced pilot. haha The 200 SR X is a fun little heli. Seems maybe a tad underpowered out of the box, but I think that can be improved by increasing the gain, which I never got around to experimenting with. It definitely flies better than the 120 S though, and if you can fly a quad, you can fly a helicopter with 6-axis stabilization, no problem. :)
+Flyin' Ryan RC it's the hardest part of the hobby, deciding on your next RC!! I keep ending up back on the 200qx though, I think I'm meant to own one lol. And then I can fly it off of horizons new monitor and googles, hint hint lol. Thanks
As in a beginner to flying in general, or a beginner to CP helicopters? It is definitely not for beginners to flying, but if you have experience with beginner helicopters, then this would be good for your first CP helicopter.
3d flying is in general flight it's rolls, loops, flying inverted etc. For helicopters in specific however flying 3d is made a little harder since the heli needs to be a collective pitch helicopter meaning it can reverse the pitch of the blades so it can fly up side down. But over all 3d flying is flying like a mad man! Imagine the helicopter flipping from up right to inverted and doing loops and stuff all the time, that 3d flying!
When i started to fly CP-heli's i started with the blade mcpx bl. After spending LOTS of money on spare parts over time, i wouldn't advise to get something like this nano, but instead buy a WL-Toys V977 from banggood.com. Several people i know at the heli club fly these things and the really like it. You can get an RTF + BNF (to be used for spare parts) for like 180 dollars all together. And if you manage to use all those spare parts over time, new spare parts for this heli are crazy cheap compared to the Nano. True, you don't get the 6-axis stable gyro system, but i would argue you don't want this on a CP-heli anyway. The learning curve without such a system might be a little bit more steep, but as long as you fly over grass and you hit throttle hold before hitting the ground when you lose control, you're good most of the time, most of the time 0 damage because it's so light, and it's so much more rewarding to learn to fly without the 6 axis stabilisation. And by the way, if you're really going CP heli, the best buy you can ever make, is to buy a simulator like Phoenix. By the way, yesterday for the first time ever i finally got my Blade 400 3D ready and i did my first couple of flights with it. This was the first time for me to fly a bigger CP heli (only had experience with the mcpx bl) and it's so awesome! It took me quite some time to find all the parts/get everything together, also/mostly with second hand stuff, but now in the end for less then 200 dollars i have 2 Blade 400 3D's complete with lots of spare parts so now i can really start of good with this one. hirzo.com/img/foto/fora/b4002.jpg
Hi,Hirzo. stand by your tree..Go for WLtoys its durable and cheap to replace parts, you get more for the money to but WLtoys than blade helicopters...fly bether ,cost less, more fun
No idea, but at least a few weeks away still, I would guess. I am very busy, and I have a lot of stuff lined up before that one that I need to get done.
That is definitely something they help with, but that is not their sole intended use. They just make the heli more stable in general, which helps with wind fighting.
Yeah, they are complex machines with a lot of parts. Plus, this one is from an American brand, which makes it more expensive than comparable Chinese brand models.
Dont buy it :) Get the K110 or the older V977 ;) Good fun but the worst of the pack. Its just 2 modes btw. Stability which is also rescue (feels like flying in sirup) and 3d with good limits. Better to set low curves than stability mode when you have flown it a bit. Flight time with 3d about 2-2:30 min before it can barely climb. This is so awesome, my favourite rc now the winters here!

Interesting how different it performs compared to the previous model. I extremely suggest you check out the GPTOYS s912 rc truck.
great review bro that's real this little helicopter is very durable I've crashed this thing so many times on my trying to learn 3d journey 😃
It's a great and safe model for learning 3D on. :)

nice review and cool copter. I'm getting into flying helicopters, I like them ! :)
Helicopters are my original passion for flight. I love them! :)
I was going to ask you to do another heli review but now I don't have to!
Thank you for a very good review :-)
whats the difference between this and the newer mCPS?
is this ok for a beginner pilot like me?i ve only flied a blade mcx 4 years ago, which was easy and boring.
Eh, maybe. The fact that is has 6-axis stabilization does make it easy to fly, but being a CP heli makes it more advanced that I'd usually suggest for beginners. You may want to start with an FP heli with 6-axis, like one of the Hisky models I have reviewed.

Thanks! :)
Sir, do you know the difference between mcp s and cp s? Thanks
You mean MCP S and NANO CP S? Nano is smaller. The "M" in MCP S stands for "Micro", which is bigger than Nano.
Flyin' Ryan RC does that mean, nano is more not easy to break ? Thanks. Btw, which one is newer model ?
I would think due to being lighter, the Nano would be more durable, yes. And the Nano is newer than the MCP S.

Nah, that just looks like an overpriced Syma X5C clone, and World Tech Toys is notorious for making bad RCs. So, I only review their stuff when it is really unique and original, like their flying action figures that I have reviewed.

I bought it: czcams.com/video/_UqrzHgAuHc/video.html
it was hard to see on camera outside. i bet it would look cool outside at night with a few LEDs stuck on it.
I forgot what heli it was but it had an LED strip across the whole edge of the blade. You can get glow in the dark blades for some helis too!

how does it do in the wind? Nice vid by the way.
It's not much of a wind fighter, due to its small size and weight.

is this for beginners?
As in a beginner to flying in general, or a beginner to CP helicopters? It is definitely not for beginners to flying, but if you have experience with beginner helicopters, then this would be good for your first CP helicopter.

Too bad you are no 3d pilot. If you would like, you may find out how to fly 3d on the blade nano CP S.

By the way, yesterday for the first time ever i finally got my Blade 400 3D ready and i did my first couple of flights with it.
This was the first time for me to fly a bigger CP heli (only had experience with the mcpx bl) and it's so awesome!
