@@kamay7021 Yes indeed. For a headset. That's what the Steelseries is in the end. I have a Bluebirth mic which is "okay" in itself but isn't the best of course. There are a lot of better mic's. They're also a lot more expensive.
The PS5 needs to include the Equalizer setting for the H7/H9’s similar to the Pulse 3D’s. Until then the EQ is set to flat and can not be changed. Additionally, the headband cover can become separated after normal use in under a month.
They didn't yet put in the equalizer settings?! Also I did see on best buy that the headband cover came off 😬. They could also have the microphone be detachable (just in case something happens to it) and let people be able to use the controller to mute their voice/gameplay. I would even like for them to have different color options too, since white doesn't last long. Maybe black and a blue option.

I found the sound quality too similar to the pulse on the h9. Which isn’t a bad thing, I personally think the pulse is a great value and probably better than anything 3rd party up to $200. The killer feature for me was noise canceling. I was amazed at how much background noise I was getting when going back to the pulse 3d. Fridge hum, fans, dishwasher, cars driving.. I was hearing it all. The pulse 3d literally feels like a open back headphone. H9 you’re in your own little world. Personally if you don’t need noise canceling and play in a quiet environment, save your money and stick with pulse 3d. Sound a uality is very similar. Market value wise I wouldn’t recommend the H3 or H7 at all, pulse is better.
These headphones do have so many upsides and definitely, back up their reasoning for being a flagship headset. However, with that price point of £269, I don't think these features warrant that steep of a price because most other headsets from corsair and hyper x have their highest-end headphones at a max of £200. But regardless great review love the detail and love you chose the last of us as the background footage.
Best headset I’ve used is the razer kaira pro haptic ones for ps5. The white ones. The base and haptic feedbacks are incredible and sound amazing. I will never use any other headset.

the biggest complaint for me with Sony is the Dualsense Edge having the ability to control gaming chat and audio controls but only wired. Why this can't be updated to work with the Sony branded wireless headsets blows my mind!
For PS5, I highly recommend the Steelseries Arctis 7P+. It only has 24 hours of battery life, and there's no Bluetooth, but they sound fantastic, have a high-quality mic, and are Tempest 3D audio-capable. The 7P+ is also over $100 cheaper than the Inzone H9.
@@coopstain1728 Very easy setup. The headset connects to the PS5 via a USB dongle. 3D audio sounds very crisp with good bass for the price of the headset. The earmuffs are cloth but comfortable for long hours of wear.

@@coopstain1728 I bought the Seagate Firecuda 530 1TB M.2 when it was on sale last year. It's been very nice not being confined to the 668 GB available on the internal PS5 SSD. If I had to choose though, I would get the headset first.
I have the 7P+ and feel like the volume is too low. My other headsets I had to turn it down because they got so loud but when the 7P+ I use the volume all the way up and it's not enough on certain games

These don’t look like they have at least some kind of metal reinforcement in the band. I’m worried they’ll end up breaking from stress on the plastic when I pull them over my head to put them on and off.

Hi I have both h9 wireless and Nova pro wireless the Nova ,s are sitting in my closet they sound best for ps5 and they have better noise cancelling than the nova pro and the Sony h9 work better with tempest audio but it's your choice

I have the H7, and I love them, super loud as well. I don't miss the ANC, but I do like the blue and white LED rings that are on the H9s. Great headset, the chat and game audio control for me is a game changer.
I recommend the Berydynamic dt990 pro 250ohm with the creative soundblaster g6. This pair will replace going to a theater and provides great detail and bass.
I own the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 Ohm, Logitech G935 and Sony WH-1000XM4. The Beyerdynamics are by far the best - no competition at all. It's also the cheapest of the bunch. Will however say that the bass feels a bit lackluster despite driving them with a Denon amp.
Really great review! So many reviews nowadays don't actually "review" the whole product. I have to say though I still don't know if this headset is worth it. For headsets of 250 quid and up it's nice to have removable ear cushions. But if you're saying it's a noticeable step up from the Pulse 3D...
Solid pair of headphones! I use my airpods max’s with a bluetooth adapter. Absolutely incredible sound and noise cancelling, the crown is so useful for volume. My only issue is that the ps5 defaults to the control mic instead of using the airpods max’s mic. Hoping there’s an update for that soon
I'm a sound engineer for Sony And I can guarantee you one thing the sound that you get from wired pair of earbuds connected to your controller will be 10 times better than any headset regardless of manufacturer and price and that's a guaranteed fact.
@@ExoticRiderr no because that is a headset I said earbuds. Earbuds with the little rubber nipples that you stick inside your ear canal that blocks off all outside noise and give you true direct sound to your ear canal yes those will be better than any headset
Bought it last 2 months and it works great! but it need to be connected to the PC to setup the EQ and sound profile...maybe SOny can consider it it furture to have it in PS5..

I agree from price point with you. I have pulse 3d as well. But these h9 sound much better specially the bass is just next level. Also I don’t even remember when I last charged them as compared to pulse 3d battery life
I tried the Inzone H7, and although it sounded slightly better, I felt like it wasn’t worth the price point over the pulse. Pulse really handled 3D sounds well too
I've owned 2 pairs of pulse 3d headsets and the leatherette on the ear cups has come apart both times absolutely shocking build quality now I use a pair of steelseries and the sound quality compared to the pulse 3d is ten fold 😳
It's been over 6 months since Inzone H7 headset released in USA and Sony hasn't yet implemented the sound equalizer settings for this headset on PS5. Sony needs to be pressurized by consumers to bring equalizer settings on PS5 especially if they announced this headset for both PC and PS5! Now I don't know how long we have to wait for this feature to be implemented for PS5 console. I hope sometime later this month we get an update for this headset to get all features on PS5 just how it works for PC.
Yup and pulse 3d is better coz you can customize the eq. The inzone doesnt have eq customization on ps5 and the defualt eq sucks big time. Inzone is better on PC.
I'm hoping one day something out there can top the turtle beach stealth 700's but currently I think they still remain king for PS5 headset when comparing everything overall
Turtle beach has good sound but are made like shit and the connectivity on the dongle are is very hit or miss mine just stopped working after about 2 weeks needless to say they where brought back to the shop and got my money back and bought steelseries..I also have astro a40s but I think it might be time to buy adueze penrose they are meant to have the best sound of any gaming headset

Hey Chris big fan of the channel, recon you should give a high end headphone set up a go. I currently use an IFI amp and dac with HifiMan Sundara headphones, you won’t believe how much better they sound. The set up isn’t too expensive either. Only downside is it’s wired!

Look I owned these and I handed mine back for the simple reason, when changing the eq on PC, they don’t save and transfer to the ps5. I even rang Sony to ask the question and they said yes they will. Well trust me, playing on pc was great but I bought for ps5 and they sounded like they were straight out the box. Replaced them for my original choice a40’s and they kick over these! I’ve been a Sony headset guy all my gaming life. Had the golds then platinums. These H9 considering the price. And the eq doesn’t save for ps5. Not worth the money I say… hope this helps decisions

If you play on tv get the Astro a50 gen4 , if not don’t get it , and the new steel nova pro they remove the optical connection so is going to be worse for your next gen console
i have both for my ps5 and I like the Sony h9 wireless better my nova pro wireless is now sitting in the closet the Sony h9 wireless are tuned better right out of the box and the noise cancelling is better than the nova pro wireless the Nova pro wireless you can change the sound with the dac but it's a gimmick the Sony h9 are so balanced you don't need it more natural the positional audio is also awesome go with the Sony h9 wireless all day you will thank me latter
Great review, loads of info I've been looking for. Did you happen to test what the mic does when using a mobile phone via Bluetooth for discord for example? And can you switch where/who you are taking to? These look like a great option for my use case with online gaming and online chat via discord.
P. S the stormtroopers look of the ps5 I think is underrated! Sony took a risk to suddenly change the look of the ps5 and I think it was a great idea to make them stand out as a brand that takes risks
I have a question that most of you reviewers doesn't go through it in videos: Is it loud though? Comparing these headsets to Astro A50's, they don't stand a chance with sound quality (mostly because A50's are Dolby Surround 3.0 built).

Just buy the audeze penrose x, you can use it on pc,xbox,ps5, cost 300$ mic is great and audio is amazing! Nothing out their compares in that price range, i bought so many headsets and returned them back because they felt flat or no bass,i went through 10 headsets and i ended up with penrose x and now i cant even use other ones because they sound horrible compared to these
If you’re going to spend $200 on a PS5 gaming headset just buy Astro A40’s with the mixamp. It plugs into the hdmi so you get really good Dolby surround sound. It’s better quality than any headset that plugs into the controller or uses Bluetooth. I’ve tried to get newer headsets and I’ve taken them all back bc none of them sound as good as the A40s. The external mixamp is also super convenient allowing you to adjust audio and game/voice audio on the fly. You can even plug it into your PC and use the Astro software to update it and mess with the EQTs plus you can mess with your mic’s sensitivity. Best headset on the market since like 2016
Someone on Amazon had a great written review on these. They are NOT worth the price. Ppl keep comparing them to the XM5s but they are NOT. They are a couple steps down from that but with the xm5 price
Unfortunately the XM5 won’t connect to the PS5 (out of the box). You’d need a third party dongle. You could use it wired, but the mic won’t work. So it’s not really a fair comparison on features.
Been looking at these for a while now and haven’t pulled the trigger because I record gameplay and need a headset I can connect to my tv so I don’t have to use the kit from elgato. With these being able to connect to the tv wireless that works great. Great review !!
The only things that is kind of holding me back from getting the h9 is the EQ settings being not available, mute button does not work for ps5 controller, boom mic in the way, the price, & no other color options like blue, black, red

If you're looking for a cheaper upgrade, I highly recommend the Steelseries Arctis 7P+. MSRP is $179 and I've seen them as low as $149.

@@godly8828 that's enough for someone that mute once in a while, in my case I mute pretty often so that mic wouldn't last that long
It's been over 6 months since Inzone H7 headset released in USA and Sony hasn't yet implemented the sound equalizer settings for this headset on PS5. Sony needs to be pressurized by consumers to bring equalizer settings on PS5 especially if they announced this headset for both PC and PS5! Now I don't know how long we have to wait for this feature to be implemented for PS5 console. I hope sometime later this month we get an update for this headset to get all features on PS5 just how it works for PC.
Looks good but I feel like the corsair virtuoso RGB XT is a better overall choice, especially for mic quality

At $399 Canadian no thanks. The Pulse 3D is good enough in my opinion. Great sound, comfortable, good mic audio, and affordable.
Yup and pulse 3d is better coz you can customize the eq. The inzone doesnt have eq customization on ps5 and the defualt eq sucks big time. Inzone is better on PC.
Still rocking the Steel series artics ones, easily top3 next gen headphones

I'm hoping one day something out there can top the turtle beach stealth 700's but currently I think they still remain king for PS5 headset when comparing everything overall
Turtle beach has good sound but are made like shit and the connectivity on the dongle are is very hit or miss mine just stopped working after about 2 weeks needless to say they where brought back to the shop and got my money back and bought steelseries..I also have astro a40s but I think it might be time to buy adueze penrose they are meant to have the best sound of any gaming headset
I’d love to see a detachable mic so that something like this could also be everyday headphones.

Wish the build quality was a tad better,, but overall loving using these headphones. Can't wait for the inevitable EQ software update.

Hey Chris big fan of the channel, recon you should give a high end headphone set up a go. I currently use an IFI amp and dac with HifiMan Sundara headphones, you won’t believe how much better they sound. The set up isn’t too expensive either. Only downside is it’s wired!
Thanks. I’m not bothered about trying wired (using the Nova Pro wired now), but I tend to go for gaming headsets for reviews. I will definitely look into high end ones though.

I don't have a ps5 yet. But I've had a great experience with my pc.
Look I owned these and I handed mine back for the simple reason, when changing the eq on PC, they don’t save and transfer to the ps5. I even rang Sony to ask the question and they said yes they will. Well trust me, playing on pc was great but I bought for ps5 and they sounded like they were straight out the box.
Replaced them for my original choice a40’s and they kick over these!
I’ve been a Sony headset guy all my gaming life. Had the golds then platinums. These H9 considering the price. And the eq doesn’t save for ps5. Not worth the money I say… hope this helps decisions
i wouldnt get it simply the fact that the headset doesnt have noise canceling feature, idk why sony havent made a premium ps5 headset yet

If you play on tv get the Astro a50 gen4 , if not don’t get it , and the new steel nova pro they remove the optical connection so is going to be worse for your next gen console
i have both for my ps5 and I like the Sony h9 wireless better my nova pro wireless is now sitting in the closet the Sony h9 wireless are tuned better right out of the box and the noise cancelling is better than the nova pro wireless the Nova pro wireless you can change the sound with the dac but it's a gimmick the Sony h9 are so balanced you don't need it more natural the positional audio is also awesome go with the Sony h9 wireless all day you will thank me latter

Great review, loads of info I've been looking for. Did you happen to test what the mic does when using a mobile phone via Bluetooth for discord for example? And can you switch where/who you are taking to? These look like a great option for my use case with online gaming and online chat via discord.

P. S the stormtroopers look of the ps5 I think is underrated! Sony took a risk to suddenly change the look of the ps5 and I think it was a great idea to make them stand out as a brand that takes risks

I have a question that most of you reviewers doesn't go through it in videos:
Is it loud though? Comparing these headsets to Astro A50's, they don't stand a chance with sound quality (mostly because A50's are Dolby Surround 3.0 built).

Just buy the audeze penrose x, you can use it on pc,xbox,ps5, cost 300$ mic is great and audio is amazing! Nothing out their compares in that price range, i bought so many headsets and returned them back because they felt flat or no bass,i went through 10 headsets and i ended up with penrose x and now i cant even use other ones because they sound horrible compared to these

If you’re going to spend $200 on a PS5 gaming headset just buy Astro A40’s with the mixamp. It plugs into the hdmi so you get really good Dolby surround sound. It’s better quality than any headset that plugs into the controller or uses Bluetooth. I’ve tried to get newer headsets and I’ve taken them all back bc none of them sound as good as the A40s. The external mixamp is also super convenient allowing you to adjust audio and game/voice audio on the fly. You can even plug it into your PC and use the Astro software to update it and mess with the EQTs plus you can mess with your mic’s sensitivity. Best headset on the market since like 2016

Someone on Amazon had a great written review on these. They are NOT worth the price. Ppl keep comparing them to the XM5s but they are NOT. They are a couple steps down from that but with the xm5 price
Unfortunately the XM5 won’t connect to the PS5 (out of the box). You’d need a third party dongle. You could use it wired, but the mic won’t work. So it’s not really a fair comparison on features.

Been looking at these for a while now and haven’t pulled the trigger because I record gameplay and need a headset I can connect to my tv so I don’t have to use the kit from elgato. With these being able to connect to the tv wireless that works great. Great review !!
The only things that is kind of holding me back from getting the h9 is the EQ settings being not available, mute button does not work for ps5 controller, boom mic in the way, the price, & no other color options like blue, black, red
